"Let us at least go and look. If that storm is anything like the rest of the realm of faery it will be unpredictable and tumultuous, and wet, very wet"

Whifflespice Tangleblossom
Tangleblossom looks skeptical, but agrees that the storm is wholly uninviting, and joins the others in approaching the dwelling in the woods.

Re: IC III
Sixthmonth, Twentysecondday?
Second Day in Faery
Late afternoon
The adventurers traipse through the woods towards the curl of smoke, the oncoming storm nipping at their heels. Large raindrops begin to fall amidst the flashing of lighting and by now almost continuous peals of thunder. It is *just* starting to pour, the forest canopy offering little protection from the rain, when they come upon a small clearing in the woods. Two structures are in the clearing; what looks to be a single room log cabin, a flickering glow visible through smudged windows, and a large stable of sorts, some thirty paces away from the cabin. The stable is open on three sides, but has a roof with a generous overhang. The stable appears to be empty, and looks like all thirteen of the adventurers may be able to squeeze in, although it would be a tight fit. A small porch off the front of the house also offers some protection, but likely not for everyone.

Feargus
"Goshawk, I still can't believe you fell for my jest on the horses...whoa there, what is this place?
I'll move ahead and kindly introduce myself. Hopefully we can get some cover from this whopper of a storm."
He heads to the front porch of the cabin, takes a look in through the windows and raps on the door.

Shmara remains off the porch, watching from a short distance away.

Nobody answers the knock, and Feargus doesn't see anyone inside as he peers through the grimy windows. Those still outside are beginning to get wet as the skies truly open. A nearby flash of lightning releases a boom of thunder that shakes the ground and rattles the poorly installed panes of glass.

Re: IC III
It's a tight fit to squeeze everyone under the roof of the stable, and those on the outside get drenched with windswept rain, but overall it's safer -- and dryer -- than being out in the elements. It looks as though there hasn't been an animal in the stable for awhile; there's no fresh animal shit, or scraps of food, and what hay is left on the ground is slowly composting into earth.
The storm is brief, lasting no more than a half an hour, and once it is gone the sun comes back out, causing steam to rise off the ground in great gouts. As the rain is stopping, Shmara swears she sees movement from within the house; the suggestion of a shadow at a window, but as she blinks it is gone. The party can probably get another half hour of travel in, if they don't want to camp here overnight.

Before the Men take shelter in the stable, Tangleblossom stands before the cabin from outside of its porch, and shouts into the wind and rain.
"I am Tangleblossom of the Lower Seven. I travel with Men who are guests of the Summer Court. We seek shelter from this storm. If you do not object to it now, we will accept your silence as invitation to make use of your stable for this purpose."
He waits a moment for a response, then urges the company into the stable.

Re: IC III
Tangleblossom opines that mortal food would, if fact, likely be greatly appreciated. "We rarely get to taste mortal food in these parts. To you it may be just a hardtack biscuit, but to the Fae it is an exotic delicacy."
