I use them for surprise, knowledge, anything really
it is just so much easier than getting an idea 8-) and then asking for your roll and then waiting for a response
if a roll (macro probably) is posted prior, it may move the game faster.

you want rolls in every post?

Maybe not every post, but you never know when story twists happen.

Oh how easy they forget.....
Only one third of the party placed rolls into their posts coming out of combat. (the thief and the halforc)
Does that mean I get to roll? 8-)
The module here slightly railroads the group, ;) but these rolls will could, determine... something.

So, a module that wants to put the party in "hot water" and with a compulsively honest P.C. in the group.... what could go wrong?

Nothing magical in nature or construction along the way to Shacktown. If asking Nicholi about mage supplies, he says, Dont you all think you have brought enough attention for one day? They probably already have a record of Benson buying that blade. And please dont make me lose the coin invested in your freedoms by getting arrested again. ;)

:D
Even a child that receives one bit of praise has the ability to excel in a single talent, and those who receive regular encouragement can feel confidence, achieve success, and become leading members of society. Because they don’t believe they are worthless, they don’t need to raise a fist and have vengeance against fate or the world at large… ~Inspector Lunge

What are the odds that a pbp group can actually come up with a unanimous plan.?

sewers? or sneak?, or something different?
Who wants to just stay here and rebuild the place?
Take a long walk around the outer walls.? The Stone Ring and Cobbler's farm are outside of the city.
Make your own investigations around Shacktown?
Why not just go to the gate and ask for a do-over. 8-)
