Solaine is in a bit of a pickle over the map, eh? Sell it and have Dwimmermount overrun by competing interests. Hang onto it and risk the wrath of another deity's zealots.

Did the severed hand of the dwarf turn to stone? A random Quinn thought.

On the subject of recruiting, cleric or mage. To be honest I have yet to see much spell casting done. There seems to be magic about but we struggle to use it or understand what it does. The knocker, the rune rubbing, the oracle could be used better.

Did anyone discuss the voices in their heads? Quinn never heard anything and nothing said. Is this the demon or another spirit?

We should have the tower shields when we get back to camp. If the health want to go to the Iron door while Quinn recuperates, it is not a problem for Quinn while he can hop around Muntberg on a crutch until healed is there much he can do?

On the map, I remember Quinn asking to make a copy in camp and getting a short reply. I think he would be well pissed to be told you can't have a copy only to find you flog copies to someone else.

To tempt you, it's worth about 900 gp, and I'll give you xp for it (not that this means you should do it...). This would level Torgyr.

Quinn needs bedrest to heal a wound beyond the power of your available magical healing. After he gets that, he's still a bit crippled, but just in the 'old prospector with a bum leg' sort of way, not in an invalid way. He didn't see what happened to the hand... he was preoccupied with having had a warhammer smash his leg. :)

Unless Stirling wants to try a different character or drop out/take a few month break, it doesn't make sense to leave Quinn behind, and there's at least a weeks worth of activity to handle.

If you dont want to recruit anybody else, we can zip through some stuff relatively quickly, but I don't want to move on to stuff 5 days later, then backtrack to whether or not to advertise for a mage.

I only have one tower shield order (Quinn's) recorded. Did you guys want to order some for Emm and Audi (or someone else)?

I still don't think we should sell it.

Maybe we should advertise for a Mage. We could keep Galen on hand as well.

From ooc conversation 21/6 it seems we have two copies of the map anyway. So sell one if you wish, just bump the price up to 1200 if you can.

I am sure whoever Emm is retaining for ordered a tower shield as well.

The two storey stone house for 670gp, was going to take 6-8 days to build. I think the payment got made so the builders should be working at it already or on the way.

Not sure but I made a note too that Solaine had written to her temple to get another acolyte to come and run services in her new chapel at Muntberg as well.

What I see on Jun 21 is that Quinn wanted to make a copy and people gave him a hard time (and I think we left it at 'didn't happen'). There is also a reference to the template for the map, which is described as the original. I think only one paper map has been made.

Looking in the transactions topic, it's clear that Ranulf got one for Audi, but no sign of one for Emm. I think we need to revisit the question of whose henchman she is. There's time to get her one before you go back, if you want her to have one.

The house is in progress, but won't be finished by the time you plan to go back in.

Solaine wrote that she will write to her temple if she can't get someone here to mind the temple. That hiring attempt will complete while Quinn is resting.

Generally, the ordering, hiring, and building times are in the time lines thread. That's what I managed to extract out of what I see, at least... there is always a chance that I missed something (like Emm's shield, which I think got added (legitimately) to an expenses post and I just didn't notice.

What needs to be done with Quinn's leg? I think Pete mentioned something about needing a Cure Serious Wounds. Can we get that in Muntberg?

Yes, everybody needs to pay for upkeep, and Galen, Emm and Audi will need to pay twice:

Galen, Emm, Audi, Solaine, Randolpho: 14 gp
Ranulf, Quinn, Zim, Torgyr: 7 gp
4 mercs at camp: 3.5 gp

Randolpho needs healing from at least a 6th level cleric, and there isn't one in Muntberg. Cure Serious (4th level healing spell) will do it, but so will Cure Major Wounds (3rd level spell). In either case, you'd need to detour to Adamas, probably.

Advertising for the mage will cost 4 gp. Again, it's slim pickings here, but it could happen.

Is it the amount of damage Randolpho took, or the type causing the need for the big healing? Sorry for the slowness in replies. I'm a tech in the school system and everything is ramping up this week. Barely even had time for lunch!

On the subject of military oil, you can commission 10 flasks per day, so just tell me how much you want (up to 70 or 80 flasks).

Also recently come to Muntberg is a team of artisans who can make guns. These complicated weapons are fairly expensive, and use a 'matchlock' firing mechanism, in which a fuse is lit, and you have about a minute to shoot your shot before the fuse burns out. When you shoot, it makes a terrifying sound, and it fires a metal ball. At close range, this ball will punch through armor. The guns are at some risk of misfire, and it takes a minute or two to reload, so they may not be practical, but they are available.

A pound of gunpowder will cost 25 gp and take 5 days to produce.
An arquebus will cost 30 gp, and take 6 days. 1 stone encumbrance
A musket will cost 40 gp, and take 8 days. The musket has a 2 stone encumbrance and longer reload times, but its armor penetration has a longer range.

There are other, miscellaneous, costs, if anyone is interested in the guns. They are usable by fighters, Explorers, thieves, delvers, and anyone with an unrestricted selection of missile weapons.

Sure, though it might take a good offer... :) I don't have a deep "purpose" for him, he's a mage in another party, and I'm open to that relationship going however you want. I'm just trying to move some of that rival party activity into the foreground. Mostly, you've seen dead adventurers, but there are live ones around, too. They can be rivals, friends... you can even hire out parties like mercenaries, if you want.

You've encountered two parties:
Delvers (who included the corpses at the oracle).. this mage is one of them.
Typhon's Fist: got beaten up bad by black skeletons way, way back. Now back, and hassling Solaine for the map.
