Boff sneakily moves down the northmost passage using only his infravision to see by. The lichen that has been throughout the Highway and in the caves continues and walls are almost damp. The passageway has a slight jog and it continues perhaps another 50' ahead of the quiet dwarf. Siouxsie get some water and follows the dwarf. Boff does hear the breathing and movement from the pretty quiet druid that is following him down this passage. It is probable that the passage turns or even T's near the end of his vision.

Nah Olos quietly moves down the other (southern-most) passage or given its width of 30' at some points through the room. Nah Olos and Qleceec also are using only infravision. Nah Olos is sneaking along, but like the master-dwarf can hear his Ranger friend walking behind him. He can see multiple different options:

1. To his northeast there is a corridor perhaps opening into a room. This corridor has less of the lichen that he is used to.
2. To the southeast there is another corridor this has the normal lichen in it and
3. around the corner to the southwest it looks like it is opening up to another room. This room has none of the lichen that the half-orc has grown used to seeing the light of.

Hex is gets some water and is using his light to look for how the water is exiting. Looking like there could be a drain near the bottom, but to confirm that a swim could be required. Rafii stays close with his master still holding the glowing dagger and two glowing fire beetle glands. Frannie, Garrant and Androgost move up to stay in the light that Hex and Raffi are carrying. With the help of Hex's magic this group appears very armored (1 Plate Armor, 3 Plate Mail and only chain mail for Frannie)

Qleceec stays just behind Nah.

Andorgost keeps with the group at the pool. A good spot to be ready to move towards one of the caverns while the scouts are expertly evaluating the best path forward.

Siouxsie

Progresses to the next corner and then waits for others to catch up or if she finds anything of note, can go back with any discovery.

Boff moves up to what looks like T intersection ahead and will check the right passage as he suspects it may loop back to the other passage to the right that Nah Olos is checking. "Gonna go right up ahead." he says in a low tone to the druid following him.

The two scout groups continue on looking to uncover the secrets of the caves, long being out of the light range of the rear group by the water pool. Another minute passes while the group patiently waits for news from the scouts.

Qleceec tries to grab Nah and get him back to the others.

Hex and his henchhalfling will move into the main chamber past the pool, following the scouts along the pool wall until the branches split, and wait there, weapons at the ready

Hex and Raffi move up slightly while Frannie, Garrant and Androgost staying by the pool. Hex's light still reaches them so they can still see but Androgost is right on the edge and group will not see someone sneaking up behind them. At about this point

• Nah Olos and Qleceec come into Hex's light radius and they holding their hands up from the light and coughing. This is a heavy cough like they are both trying to get something out of their throat.
• Boff comes running down the other hallway at a full tilt and while he is doing that he is shouting. "Ambush! They're usin ranged an magic!" As he enters Hex's light radius he is also momentary affected by the bright light.
• Siouxsie's status and location is UNKNOWN. (At least by the general group.)

Qleceec tries to clear her throat and she will get to where she can see Boff, then readies her bow.

Hex ushers the scouts over to him, and then looks for some kind of natural cover.

What kind of creatures are trying to ambush us?? he says, pulling out his wand of fire. How many?

Raffi will move off from the light and try and hide in some shadows, and wait for whatever is coming for them to pass him by. He will slide his dagger into its sheathe to dowse its light, and draw his sword and a mundane one instead as he moves into some shadows.

Garrant

To those with him:

"We should move up quickly to join Hex and Raffi."

Androgost agrees with Garrant and spits, "Doesn't anyone use swords any more? Cowards!"

As they get closer, and sees the additional passages he asks, "Can we flank them through there do you think? Set up a diversion?"

Boff catching his breath huffing and puffing looks around "shat where is Siouxsie? I dunno what it was all I know is I got up ta a T intersection an it got really quiet like when yer in a spell silence then I got shot by somethin possibly poisoned managed ta shake it off and run like hell ta get back ere. But if Siouxsie didn't come back we gotta go look for em. At the first Y split we split up Siouxsie went right, I went left." he explains.

Hex listens intently. So it was one thing? Or was it many? What did you see if it with your heat vision?

"We ran into some sort of gas in a cave. Not sure if it was natural or magical. Didn't encounter anyone to my knowledge. We should make sure Siouxsie is all right."
