Siouxsie

Can I use the Control Wind to fan the wall of flame greater and cause it to move after the fleeing creatures.

Siouxsie: casts enhanced Cure Light Wounds [1d4+4]=3+4=7

She lays hands on some bleeding wounds and calls her horse.

The spell affects a big area, but it is not a precision tool. You cannot make the wind itself move after fleeing creatures - so I would have to say no.

In the Jotens - Wait they are leaving?
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 48[+0=48]/63) SH:15
Androgost (AC -6, HP 55/65, Armor 21/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 31/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2 (1), HP 33/48) (Barkskin 10)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 24/50)
Hex (AC 5, HP 14/27)
Raffi (AC 6, HP 16/21)
Boff (AC 5, HP 49/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)

To finish out the parting attacks
Nah Olos kills a retreating Shtelke (Red 7). Boff wounds Yellow 6 as it is retreating, but it still escapes. Qleceec kills Pink 1 as it retreats. Androgost wants to make sure the two-headed hybrid is really dead - it is. Franny pulls out her sling and realizes that she has no chance and does not fire.

It is about 5 PM with long shadows in the early evening. The winds are circling at close to 30 MPH except in a 40 diameter around Siouxsie (and much of that same area is affected by an Entangle spell). The area smells of the wet dust mixed with a hint of chorine. Outside of this radius, the trees are rustling and there is a lot of noise. Inside, Hex and Siouxsie are trying to scream, but neither can hear anything at this time - it appears that only Boff can really hear them.

Siouxsie casts a CLW on herself picking up 7 pts. She tries to call for her horse if there are a reply, she cannot her it. Raffi moves away from the Wall of Fire and see Franny about 30 ft away.

In the group to the south Garrant wonders "...why they retreated? They seemed to be gaining the upper hand... Now where did my horse go?" Other than knowing his horse bolted to the east he is not sure if its location. Nah Olos notices his heavy crossbow is on the ground. Androgost is present and silent. Qleceec leaves and starts heading south on her own saying "I need to go looking for my horse."

Nah Olos picks up and reloads his crossbow, this time with a +2 bolt. "We should stay together. The shtelke have been rounding up the horses, we will have to go without for now." He looks around to be ready for anything else.

Qleceec

Qleceec will stay with the others. "That didn't go well."

Was she able to recover her bow and quiver?

You will need to go about 30' south onto the path part of the map to do so. So you will either need to (a) stay with the others (no bow) (b) move there and back hoping there are no Shtelke or (c) convince the southern group to make that move with you to get your bow.

Qleceec

To those near by, "I dropped my bow and quiver over that way" points, "probably best if we go as a group to recover it."

Siouxsie

Crazy idea. I will share it, you can all add input.

I could morph into a horse form, get rounded up by the Shtelke and led to their cave, base. You guys follow my trail?

Unless the horses are being rounded up to become dragon food? Do they need mounts if they have wings?

Qleceec

As long as you have a smaller animal form you could also change into like a small lizard to escape un noticed as.

OCC: not sure what is going on this point, have we gone from full tilt boogie melee to cigarette break? If that is the case Androgost does the following:

I'll accompany you Qleceec. In offer to retrieve her bow. Let's grab Nah and Garret along the way. To Garret: You'd best see Franny, soon.

OCC: Siouxsie 's idea is interesting. I would assume they want the horses for dragon food or they are mining themselves and need some kind of work animals. Is the anticipated advantage to her capture the ability to attack from the rear/inside?

"Thanks Androgost." She leads the way back to her bow.

If you are confused by the sudden shift, it was quick right after the roar in this post. - but yes it is a time-out.

It is safe enough I will keep things moving - if Nah or Garrant are joining I am OK with that.

The area looks very different than when Qleceec was here several minutes ago. First of course is the wind blowing 27 MPR from right to left on the map. The next thing that catches your eyes are you know for sure the location of both of your two horses. Or perhaps I should say you know the location of the two horses bodies. It appears that someone or perhaps several someones ate most of the meat from the two horses. The Shtelke that were killed have given birth to young like you saw before and they are similarly eaten. You do manage to find your bow and arrows, but someone has cruelly snapped the bow string.

The other change, is the first time you came there was huge raised stone platform about 70' square with stone stairs leading up from the side you were viewing. The platform was 8-10' tall. Now the platform is only about 30' side still about 10' tall without any stairs. The northern edge of the this structure is about 100' from the location of your riding horse's body.

Qleceec gathers her bow and quiver. "Lets find Boff, it looks like I may have something for him."

Hex, heavily encumbered, will waddle south towards the others, still as deaf as a post.

Raffi will recover any spent weapons nearby and avoid the wall of fire until is vanishes in 5 more minutes, then tie up the held dragon woman and ask the others what we are doing about the entangled one. If no one says to try and capture it before the plants release it he will try and slay it with his thrown mundane daggers

For the record there were two Shtelke left behind. One on the map in the Entangle and one off the map under Franny's Hold Person.
Considering the ruse, maybe not practical at this point and we may learn more from getting Shtelke prisoners to the settlement.

I will also check bodies of slain Shtelke and capture any fledgling dragons too. Must be a way to bind them and get them to imprint on us to feed them as newborns?

About 3 minutes after the combat ends Hex regains his hearing and then 2 minutes later so does Siouxsie.

Hex is still weakened however at this point.

Hex sighs as his heading returns. Well thank Garl THATS over with. I still feel exhausted however. My limbs are like jelly! We should regroup and find a defensive place to plan our next move. They let us go for a reason, they were clearly winning and about to slay us all one by one. They took our horses, so we might have to double up with you guys for a while if that’s ok he says amiably.

Boff shouts for Frannie to come in and she does so, leading Boff's horse. As the meet up with the other party members, he states We started on our way , but I didn't feel good splitting our party like this in the wilds... Got something for me yer say?

Qleceec

"My bow is out of commission for now, I don't have a spare string at the moment. I do have 10 magical arrows though. I figure someone who can use them if need be should be carrying them."

She hands over her quiver with 10 +1 arrows to Boff.
