Cora just happens to find in the altar a silver snake amulet which makes her worship a serpent god, has a bunch of pet snakes and right next door used to live a medusa ...

Man you guys are too fast for me today!!!
Now I actually am waiting on kruk to get his sheet in order, so blame him for the XP delay here. (I hope this pressure works)
Back To The Beach
Sunday, 21st of Goodmonth
Nearly Noon, Hot, Sunny, Humid
As Joe rows the crowded vessel down the shoreline, away from the kobold tracks in the sand, the group actually looks forward to getting back into Beachtown again. Andron starts to feel a little sunburn developing on his bare torso as he watches the distant ramshackle buildings get closer.
The fishermen fill them in on the happenings around town as of late, discussing the death of Mr. Nehru, the invasion of the Stonegut dwarves, and the current situation involving the town Constable and his possession. They talk about the towns new mayor, a halfling priestess named Daisy, who was just elected by a majority show of hands recently. They both seem content that she will be a good leader, even if she hasn't spoken with either of them personally.
The newest rumor floating around town is big talk about a ring of magical obelisks located towards the center of the island. Though none of the claims have actually been proven yet, it is all the talk among the commoners in town. There has even been talk of a group going out to find one of the strange landmarks, but they haven't been heard from since.
Actions?
As I already mentioned, if you want to learn more about the things going on in the other threads, just ask someone IC. Feel free to discuss spoils division, if anyone wants anything specific, (like the pearls) and any future plans you have, in the group or alone, while we wait for that sweet, sweet XP.

Carucenus -5.5/10[/color] message on tiny decorative box Mina's note Notes and other Bookkeeping:
Melania
You have been warned several times now about your unwillingness to remain in your designated location. Since you cannot control your desire to destroy my hard earned collection by turning them into useless statuary, you leave me little other choice but to relocate you somewhere safer.
Melaina
I have decided on a far more suitable spot for you to reside. There is a cave complex on the other side of the island that will suit your needs perfectly. It is an old experiment of mine, that never panned out the way that I had hoped. But there is a fresh water source inside and a magical summoning device of my own creation that should provide you with an endless supply of food. You will be relocated there as soon as I get it ready. I am still working on filling your request for companionship. As I told you before, they are extremely rare and nearly impossible to locate.
Melania
I understand you are not happy with your new accommodations, but it is simply the best I can do for now. I think you will be much more at ease living here once I am able to fill your request for a mate. The reoccurring minotaur should provide you plenty of food and enough sport to keep you preoccupied while I search. Please remember that your captor was also once your savior, and that you wouldn’t be here right now if it weren’t for me. I know this isn’t an easy adjustment for you, but it must be preferable to the horrible death you would have endured without my aid.
Melania
At long last, after several years of searching and burning through countless resources, I have finally found what you seek the most. An unmatched Maedar, one of the rarest of all creatures known to man. And he is all for you. I sincerely hope this will suffice to keep you happy for the rest of your years here. You must stop meddling in my experiments. You of all people should know they can be very dangerous, especially when they are unfinished. Once I have checked him over for myself, I will release him to you. Once that is done, I must insist that you stay put in your area and stop breaking your containment. By the way, his name is Marquees, and he is magnificent.
Melania
Once again you need to learn the hard way that you are no match for my powers. It saddens me greatly that after everything I’ve done to make you happy, you continue to defy me, routinely breaking your pact without remorse. I thought you to be one of the more intelligent of your kind, but you have proven to me that I was mistaken. Since I have invested so much, I will give you one last chance to comply. However, you will now be marked. Breaking the rules of your containment again will result in your termination.
Melania
This last attempt at wreaking havoc on my experiments was all I can take. I have warned you multiple times now and you simply wont listen. Therefore, you have left me no other choice. I cannot allow you or anyone else here to undermine my work as you have. I know you were never really happy here, but with the amount of monies, time, sacrifice, and effort I have put into this place already, finishing my ultimate creation must continue to be my main focus. I will allow Marquees to remain on the island, since he has done nothing that I know of to aid you in your constant meddling. The treasures you were supposed to protect for me will also remain inside the complex, now under the supervision of your lover. However, the next time you see me will be the last. I wish things could have worked out better, but you have only yourself to blame for this outcome.

Marquees
I know you like this place, but I am not about to spend the rest of my days preforming for this pompous bastard. We are getting out of here, and I think I finally figured out how. The ring of glass obelisks have something to do with the mobility of this place, so through them, there must be a way out. I know the colored stone spheres are the keys, all I need to do is figure out how they function. There must be a way to use the spheres to activate the obelisks, since the ones I have investigated don’t seem to do anything yet. Once I can figure out their secrets, I am hoping we will be able to go anywhere we want. I know you want to concentrate on making more eggs and raising new babies, but you cant expect me to be happy about bringing more of our kind into existence while we are all being held here against our will. We must find a way out! We can discuss this further once I've returned.
scrollcase note:
I have used the magic scrolls to find three of them so far. They are a sight to behold, so tall and crystal clear. One is in the jungle near the black cliffs, a second deep in the swamp, and the third by the lake to the northwest. I promise you that I will figure out what they do and how they function. Once I do, we will be free again.
note about the contacts:
Marquees
My love, I know you don't like wearing the contacts, but their use will be quintessential in making our eventual escape from this place. The wizard doesn't know about them, so it is imperative that we keep them secret for now. Please continue to wear them when you can, since they have no affect on us or our young. You must try to get accustomed to them so they can be used to their utmost effectiveness against our foes once the time comes.
It is important that you keep them wet when you are not wearing them. The case is filled with a salty solution of mannish extract and fairy tears, which should keep them crystal clear and usable forever, so take caution not to spill any of it. Since they will allow both you and I to turn our enemies to stone, I cant wait for you to put them to use.

These island import taxes are brutal.
Oh, I forgot. We do know the rough location of three obelisks. Wes's group is currently worshipping the one in the jungle.

Andronichishche
An expression of consternation mixed with apprehension crosses Andron's face as he learns about the events with the Stoneguts and Glansandi. "That is very disturbing news. Now that the dwarves have already confronted the town over the perceived theft of the black ore, I am very concerned that any future theft by the kobolds will also be blamed on the town. I will need to speak with the new mayor to alert her of this complication."
He glances at Pete and Joe before continuing, apparently uncertain about what else he was to divulge, but after a moment simply shrugs in resignation. "There is more to the tale about what possessed the constable. The day I arrived I joined the farmer, Mr. Liam, and Constable Glansandi on Captain Quark's ship to interrogate a pirate. Captain Bing. Quark was witness to the destruction of Bing's ship from an unusual storm. Bing was the only survivor and promptly locked in the brig. However, when we boarded the ship the man in the cage was not Bing, but the body of somebody else whom Quark did not recognize. Thinking there was a doppleganger we immediately interrogated his crew in the tavern. When we went back ... the body was gone, leaving only a pool of grey water. Glansandi and I were concerned that whatever it was would attempt to impersonate one of the town leaders. Apparently we were right. The only lead we had are strange pools of grey liquid out west past the beach."
His demeanor relaxes to a whimsical and sardonic caricature and he winks one eye. "It would also seem that we have some competition searching for the obelisks."
As the boat nears landing, Andron gathers his things and turns about, remembering something else long overdue. "Oh, please take the pieces of Sir Crestbrook to my shack. Let's plan on meeting there tomorrow morning to assemble and hold the pieces together while I attempt to mend him. I can also identify the pink powder. Hopefully, it has the power to reverse the petrification."

Maag nods approvingly when hears about Mayor Daisy's election.
"Der yer go. I told yer supreme executive power should be derived from a mandate of der people. Cresty's not gonna be 'appy when he wakes up. HAAAAAAA HAAAAAAA!" Maag guffaws loudly and slaps the side of the boat.

strike first, strike hard, no mercy.

Alordan considers the talk about doppelgangers and whatnot and something about the dwarves, "well, if there are others searching for the obelisks, wouldn't it make sense if we joined forces and made way as a group? You know, combine our fellowship with theirs and advance as a force? I dunno, we talked about the fellowship of the circle or whatever - what about the Beachtown Brigade? That sounds impressive to me!" His hands out speaking a little more passionately than usual, he also then has hands in his pockets absent mindedly handling the new cube there - not really understanding it's import. yet...

Andronichishche
Andronichishche silently groans at Maag's attempt at political humor. He looks over at Gramble's mention of the dwarves, though. "Mr. Gramble, you sound as vicious as a cobra! Mind you, there are several hundred dwarves if the estimates I've heard are correct." He then gets a bemused expression as he murmurs, "Stronghold?" Louder now, "Oh, you're referring to the cube. Yes, splendid idea. If Mr. Alordan is amenable to it, that is? It woud be quite more comfortable than my shack."
"Beachtown Brigade?" He says, grinning at Alordan. "I suppose, but if we move on from this island together, that name probably wouldn't carry as much meaning." Andron considers for a moment the proposal to link up with another group. "The idea has merit, but ... we have no idea where that other group went. At the very least, I could leave a message for their leader and seek to exchange knowledge."

Andronichishche
Andronichishche smiles broadly as Daisy approaches. "Miss Daisy! ... Excuse me, Mayor Daisy, it is good to see you again. Please, allow me to introduce my companions." He introduces each of the Fellowship in turn and then the sailors. "Mr. Pete and Mr. Joe here have proven to be very capable sailors and their assistance has been invaluable."
The smile disappears from his face as he continues, holding up a hand to pause any reply for the moment. "We have been told of the unfortunate events involving the Stoneguts and Constable Glansandi. I will need to speak with the Constable and Mr. Liam concerning that particular threat, but of more immediate importance is the confrontation with the dwarves."
Andron nods to the small island nearby. "We've recently encountered three different groups of what can be described as jungle kobolds on the island. Our best guess is the necromancer Gorman and his undead had prevented the kobolds from exploring this far south." He then points at the area of the beach where Pete and Joe saw the kobolds enter the water. "They appear to be using discarded wooden casks to float across to the island. The problem is ... we believe the casks were pilfered from the dwarves. Now, the Stoneguts likely don't care about missing refuse, but if the kobolds start stealing other items of value or the black ore ..."
He allows Daisy a moment to recognize the dilemma and simply nods. "The dwarves may blame the townspeople, and I suspect they wouldn't be as lenient a second time."

So assuming we can sell the various items for what they are listed for, my calculations make it : 137 gp, 3sp and 7cp each for eight people. (Six of us plus Cresty and Saracen.)
Can someone please double check that?
I counted twenty sp as two gp and ignored the leftovers.

Please ignore those numbers. I have the real breakdown coming up.
Cresty is currently dead. Dead characters arent figured into the overall tally. (though Saracen is) If Maag wants to donate his share to Cresty, I am good with that.
