Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin sighs and says "well, it's surely been a long day, and it looks like we've sent this threat packing. I say we eat and get some well-earned rest. Eh?"
Assuming all are for rest, Thurwin will enter and get settled in, reading his spellbook and spending some time on the upper level just watching the temple grounds, looking for any movement or anything amiss.

Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
"I could use some rest," agrees Odo. Ever hopeful, he looks around for anything new in the tower. "Why don't the creatures that move in every time we leave ever bring treasure with them?"
Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
Calthas proposes to start the watch, also concerned by how vulnerable the premises are.
Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
Now where were we? Ah, yes. Here we are...
The party rests the night and a good portion of the morning (apparently it was closer to dawn than you realized) in the tower. Nothing bothers you while you are there.
Bror grumbles that he's tired of dungeon crawling. Sean tells him to stuff it. Bror tells him to eat a goat hoof. Sean says the party never should have saved the ungrateful dwarf in the first place. Bror tells Sean that turncoats like him ain't worth a pound of fish heads. Sean tells Bror that his mama is looking for his candy rear. Bror replies that at least his rear smells like candy and not like a pile of scat.
It's a healthy conversation.

Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
Odo yawns and stretches, glad for the chance to sleep in—although he did miss one breakfast. He awkwardly tries to look occupied with other matters while Bror and Sean bicker.
"Well, gents," he says, hoping to derail the argument, "shall we head straight back to the temple? Or do we want to stop into town and pick up a better lock so that next time we come back to this tower we don't have to fight our way in yet again?"

I cannot think of a pressing reason to visit town, unless we might be able pry some healing draughts from the hands of the temple...

"We could try to do folks a favor and tell them to be on the lookout for that Martin fellow," suggests Odo.
Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin shakes his head at the back and forth and says "Friends, FRIENDS! Let's not argue. We've done quite a great deal of good down there, and we'll keep this up till this place is cleansed of evil. To diffuse the situation, he offers Sean a hit of his flask and says "As for heading back to town, I'm fine going back down below or heading back. If we do head back, I may visit Burne and Rufus to see about some more spells, and perhaps Calmert could intercede and obtain some more healing potions for us. Oh, and although I am a peaceful disciple of St Cuthbert, the opportunity to settle accounts with that potion purveyor would be satisfying."
Thurwin collects his gear, ready to go back down, or head to town.

Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
Calthas thanks Calmert, once again. About Bror, he is comforted in his knowledge of how much a dwarf can be trusted!
Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
"I will go anywhere, I am feeling much better," Zef says. "And many thanks to you, my friend," he says to Calmert.

Calmert sweeps into a deep bow (well... deep for a little Gnome), "It is a pleasure to serve good friends." he ends with a nod and a wink to the sky above, acknowledging St. Cuthbert's grace.kwll wrote:Calthas thanks Calmert, once again.[...]

Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin gathers his gear and says "Well, maybe we go back down to where we left off and see what's happening, eh? After killing the ogre goons, perhaps whomever is running things will start to realize we mean business - whether that's good or bad, I don't know."
OOC: So maybe go back to the site of the ogre beatdown and see what's going on? I think we still had some places to explore around there.

I think Calmert should CLW Calthas and Zef one more time, then we rest up here one more night to have a full lineup of spells before heading back to Ogreville?badams30 wrote:Thurwin - Wizard

Re: Part 12 - Temple Return (Again)
Calmert lays hands on his two companions again.
Calthas Heal [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6
Zef Heal [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6
A night's rest and communing with his deity seems to have helped.
With it sounding like you are ready to head back down, the three (Jupe, Pete, and Bob) begin cleaning up and getting ready to go. Anything before you leave?
