Aoife needs to make a Scholar test, Ob3, to read the inscription.
I don't think Allric will be of much help. The inscription is in Dwarven, and barely legible.

I'd hope that both Allric and Berry could be of help with their Scholar skills in reconstructing the script, even if Aiofe is the one who translates the resulting message.

Ok. I can see that. Works for me.

Our session three log is embarrasingly full of failures.

At least we can use them to advance skills.

Did everyone have an early turkey-overload weekend and pass out from triptiphan over-indulgence?

Well, I only know that my wife has me painting things and moving furniture in preparation for hosting dinner. Very distracting.

So question, how could in use the hammer and ring? I don't want to make a post before it becomes a test. If it isn't a test I can narrate, otherwise what skill am I testing?

I suspect Ludanto is going to invoke the "describe to live" mechanic. Describe what action Berry takes, then he'll let you know if it invokes a test. (i.e. just go roleplay the hell out of it and hope for the best.)

True. You just do what you do, and the Tests come or they don't. (Usually, it's better if they don't).

Everyone in the room is refreshed, recovering from one condition (in recovery order).
If you're conditionless, you recover a point of taxed Nature. If you have no taxed Nature, you're Fresh!

Back to 4/4 Nature!

Almost fresh.
So... is the darkness dispelled? You said we could see clearly momentarily.

And for those of us out in the hallway?

Sadly, hallway folk are too far away to benefit.
Also, to be clear, people don't recover
lost Nature, just Tax.

Thag can always benefit from the session summary. Just make sure he isn't hungry/thirsty, because that is a waste.
I kept Rabon at 4 Nature.

Boo.
So, Allric is Fresh!

The gloom is still the magical darkness from before.

Rabon puts the gem in/out of the anvil repeatedly, very fast, causing a strobe effect and produces techno beats with his mouth, hoping to instigate a dance party.
Edited to correct autocorrects.

Just giving this a poke so people know I'm still watching.

Okay, we're at a good breakpoint, but we still need one test to reach the end of the session. Also, it is always good to end on a Camp.

Can someone choose an action and earn a check? We can then do our Camp phase and regroup before going down in to the basement to reclaim gems from the thieving kobolds. Everyone will have a chance to revise Goals and Beliefs before we do so with the Session-change.
Or... do we still want to bail now and go back to town? The conditions all being restored and getting back to Fresh changes that for me. I have enough hope from the current scene that Allric is willing to continue on and try to dismiss evil if Thag, Berry, and Aiofe are motivated to. (Allric's got the books he expects and Rabon's got enough treasure; we're mercenary enough to go home if the others aren't interested in pushing further.)
