"Ach," grunts Olaf, "that 'ghost infected hellhole' be the closest thing to a temple o' yer god we found. Ye not gonna walk right up to yer tower and find yer Holy McGuffin just stumblin' around! Ye need clues, n' that there hole is just stinky with 'em."

Irving balks. "You don't think that's the place?"

any way we could have foraged for food/hunted the two days we were waiting instead of just sitting around?

Whiling away the time for two days, some stood guard while others ventured out in the surrounding gorse and plains for foraging and hunting, but to no avail. Anything edible was ruined by the solid week of downpours and the animals are not yet brazen enough to be caught out by human eyes.
I assumed three people at a time for two days... You just failed every check, sadly.

past date now, but i agee with Keehnelf's assessment of waiting on Kellstrom for Stirling's sake. Looking in on those apparitions again would have been nice... and another look at the diamonds.
Any chance we could do a retrospective visit to the site above us where the ghoatly aparitions head to? During the day we spent resting. Captain Bremen would be intersted to see if anything of value is easily packed away.
Markd, remind us again what details you got that makes you think this isn't the place. There were illusions at work in there that seemed real enough to be outdoors. Maybe the initial vision was faulty. Turning to Brother Kellstrom and nudging Markd, Any way your spells can correct that... deformity? You look almost as scarred as this fella.

Kellstrom
After his brush with death, Kellstrom will not particularly want to go back, especially as the skeletons have reformed. But it is intriguing what is inside but he doubts this is the place we seek. Kellstrom will follow the choice of Mr Mark'd since he had the Baudhic vision we are following.

Markd answers,
I saw a large white marble tower sitting on a hill, on the south bank of a wide east-west river. The gold Baudh sun was mounted upon a wall of old, man made stone.
I just dont see how it could be a hill underground, an illusion of an illusion seems too much trickery for Baudh or a follower to enact.

There's no issue with that action, but I'd say do it in present time rather than retrospective. You aren't gaining anything by "fitting it in" and it leaves Stirling out, which you were (kindly) avoiding.

Well, we lose food by spending time in the present
But I agree with the general idea--do it with the whole group now that we're here.
Irving looks dubious.
"Maybe we can find out a bit more about this spot, and figure out if it's the right spot, if we go up there and look around some. I think this is the place, but I have to admit I'm really confused about this whole mission. Someone mentioned something about a sun or a star in the air, but I thought we were after a holy relic..." He shakes his head as he repacks his things.

Captain Bremen
I see your point, Markd. This haunted hollow doesn't sound like the place. He pats the bags on the pack animal. But a nice haul with a promise of more later, right? The Captain packs his gear and helps with the tent. As they prepare to leave the campsite he will suggest passing by the haunted site.
2 days rations deducted.

Bandy Sandybanks
Bandy agrees with looking for the tower further on; this place being close enough that they can attempt to tickle the loot from it later, should they desire to

"So, we just be leaving this place to look for a tower what ye ain't got any idea where it be?" asks Olaf.

Markd nods.
Crazy as it may sound to some. Yes. Afterall, we're on a mission from Baudh. He will guide us there, if we pay attention to his signs.
With that, he prepares to hike.

Olaf scratches his head.
"Ye sure Baudh ain't already guided us to where we needs to be?"
As thick as this place is with Baudh symbolism, it seems like the kind of place that would either have valuable information about the tower or something we'll need when we get there. It just seems odd to me to be on a mission from Baudh and get to a place that has Baudh splashed all over it and say, "yeah, not relevant. Let's move on."

the vision pictured the white tower situated on the banks of an east to west flowing river. From the tavern map additions there is a branch of the river Gaul further upstream so maybe we should reach that and then hike eastwards.

Captain Bremen
The Captain pulls out his compass and indicates the direction Markd wants to head. He turns to Olaf, Don't fret, Olaf. We'll come back to this place once we've retrieve Baudh's relic. And that Sage will pay solid coin for whatever's in that hole.
Should we check out that ridge above us now or when we return?
