Re: OOC
alright well I am very lost in what is going on and hesitate to post anything since I don't have the character in the roller system unless he was never in there to begin with.

Hey Ed,
Either wolfpack or one of the mods (with wp's approval) can give you control of Scy's character sheet (viewtopic.php?p=47803#p47803) if you want.
Jump in when you're comfortable. It looks like we're headed down into a dungeon... always a good spot for a new player to join!
Be well,

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Re: OOC
Eh well I'm a lot lost even with what I have read so yeah..... I'll just chime in not knowing the real identity of this character is all good. I hope.
Would it be ok if I did set him up in a roller sheet??

If you want to use the Dice Roller character sheet, you will have to set that up yourself. There is no easy way to transfer that.
FYI, it is not at all necessary. Honestly, I prefer a written-out sheet, if I have my druthers. It is easier to maintain and I can set it up how I want.

Re: OOC
No, there is an easier way. You can just change the ownership of the post to be ednichols.wolfpack wrote:I would suggest copying scythius sheet from anivars post and pasting it in a new post on the charcacter sheet thread. then I will delete anivars post
At the bottom right-hand side of every post is a row of buttons. Most people may just see an exclamation mark (!) in the majority of posts. This is to flag a post (if it violates forum rules, for example). If it is your own post, you might also see an "X" button. This is to delete your own post.
In a campaign where you are the DM, wolfpack, you should also see a Question Mark (?) button. This allows you to view the details of that post. At the bottom of that post is an option to change the post owner to someone else.
Obviously, as a moderator, this is something I can do on most any post on the forum, so I went in and modified the post with Scy's character sheet so that the owner was "ednichols' and not 'Anivar'.

I should probably work on some kind of write-up for moderators that goes over the various tools they have available to them.wolfpack wrote:ok that's great. I had no idea I could do this.

Re: OOC
alright with all that being said.... I like the character sheets on the roller i hate writing em out or having to go back and edit a forum posting. I'm ocd I like stuff organized and in a universal location I can easily get to.

Re: OOC
You'd still have to go someplace to edit it if you wanted to make any changes, only you'd have to go to the Dice Roller, which is completely different website, instead of going to the Character thread.ednichols wrote:alright with all that being said.... Not trying to convince you either way; just saying that modifying the character sheet isn't any easier with the Dice Roller form. All it does is add uniformity to all of the players' character sheets.

Re: OOC
just trust me the roller is a lot easier for me as 4 of my 5 characters are on there. It is a lot closer as it is directly linked on this website.

Re: OOC
thats fine if you want to use the roller sheet, but I still need he written sheet becuase I cannot access the roller at work.
I have to be able to chekc charcater sheets for stats, ac, HP, xp, items, whatever other info I may need for the game.

Re: OOC
I don't believe we (as players) were ever assigned a campaign ID here.
Is that correct, WP?

Hmm that sounds strange, but ok so I'll just leave it as it is then. "Strange things are afoot at The Unseen Servant" yeah stole part of that saying from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

It's not necessary. All it does is link rolls to a specific campaign so you can search for rolls by Campaign name and see all the rolls everyone did. It serves no other function.
