The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Battle Of One, Nighttime
Akhilleus wisely steps towards the doorway, blocking the priest from leaving the room. He waves his sword around blindly, but isn't able to locate his unseen adversary.
He feels the stab of a small blade deflect off his armor to the side of him, then hears a loud shrill hissing directed at somewhere beyond him.

Akhilleus is slashed across his arm as he continues to flail around blindly, missing his target again and again.

Timing his attacks out by relying on his hearing instead this time, his blade finally contacts the flesh it seeks, soliciting a horrific grunt of pain from his enemy. The noise of the creature slumping to the floor is music to the fighters ear.
A noise from behind alerts him to a second presence, likely the other priest returning to the fight. A sharp pain in his back and kidney verifies his suspicion, this newly administered wound gushing blood into his underclothes and armor.

The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Battle Of One, Nighttime
With his own blood running out of him like a stream, the blinded fighter continues swinging and swearing, hoping against hope he can eventually locate his adversary before his own time runs out.
Stabbing forward at exactly the right moment, his blade finds pay dirt when he hears a second death gurgle from the snaky looking priest.
Other than his own blood dripping to the stone floor and the final death grunts of the pair he just put down, the exhausted and blind fighter sees and hears no other threats in the room.

Akhilleus
The warrior, panting and grunting from the pain and loss of blood, raises his shield in case anyone is still coming his way, and listens for a few seconds.
Aware that this is going to be difficult, since he hasn't recovered his sight yet, he ducks, tears a piece of the priests' robes and blindly goes towards the place he remembers Valkrina was lying. He remembers one of the priests slitting her throat. Once the warrior sheathes his sword, he kneels and starts feeling with his hands, looking for the bard's long hair, before applying the piece of cloth to her wound, trying to staunch it.
He hopes those affected by the gas will awake soon.
And listens for any sign of movement. Constantly.

Sorry for dragging this out so long folks. Another busy weekend for me.
The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Battle Of One, Nighttime
Once certain there are no other threats in the room about to stab him, the blind swordsmen gets to work trying to save the injured bard.
He feels around for something to staunch the flow of blood, tearing apart the priests robe as a makeshift bandage.
Feeling his way back to the body of Valkrina, he attempts to locate the worst of her wounds, despite his inability to see at the moment. Hearing her breathing getting slower and more labored, he knows he doesn't have a lot of time to preform this miracle.
Thankfully, he hears nothing else in the room other than his companions snoring.

The Ruined Warlords Palace
The Battle Of One, Nighttime
After saving most of his group from a fate worse than death, Akhilleus finds binding unseen wounds while completely blinded much harder than expected. He fumbles around for a while, but eventually hears the labored breathing of Valkrina stop for good.
Letting out a heavily burdened sigh, the fighter shoves the couches up against the closed door again and waits out the night. Just before passing out from exhaustion, he suddenly spots the dying light of the candle they lit earlier, meaning his sight has at least been restored.
A few hours later, he awakens to the sounds of his other friends moaning as they too shake off the effects of the brutal first experience here in the forgotten warlords ruins.
Action?
Everyone who was wounded can make a Hit Die roll to see how many hit points are restored from resting. I will update again once everyone regains consciousness.

Akhilleus sighs in desperation when he hears that Valkrina is not breathing anymore because of his bad treatment of her wounds... He is relieved that his sight comes back but curses when he thinks he could have maybe waited until his sight might have been restored.
Some consolation comes when he wakes up and feels himself relatively rested, but even more when he hears his companions waking up.

Xenos
The ixian comes around and moves to sit upright, but winces and stops, and them moves more carefully. He looks around, taking in the state of his companions, living and dead.
He coughs to clear his dry throat.
"What happened? I thought my time had come... Thank you."

Cyril
"I smell blood. That can't be good." Cyril opens his eyes and looks around.
"Akhilleus, you do not look good..." His eyes scan over the dead party members and he stiffens. He moves to inspect Valkrina and says,
"This is really quite strange. Almost as if somebody were torturing her by how poorly her wounds were bound. Still though, I don't know that she could have lived..."
He closes his eyes a moment and says,
"Azathoth has once again lent me some of his power if any of you should require healing."

Akhilleus looks around, seeing the havoc that has been wreaked in such a short time.
"Because of a gas you fell asleep. Something made the gas not affect me. I suspect it was these magic stones that Xenos found. By the way, Xenos, I am returning them to you. I preferred to use them when I saw that, since you were unconscious, they would not benefit anyone. They have served us well. In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that they have saved our lives.
Two slaves returned with the priests. I first managed to kill the slaves, but the priests drove me off with some spell. Probably similar to that spell you claim to be able to cast, Cyril, and which causes fear in people. I ran away, but came back and forced the door. I could not leave you here in the hands of those savages. But by the time I arrived it was too late, they had killed Snorri and were practicing sadistic cuts on Valkrina's body.
When they saw me they blinded me with a magic wand and stabbed me in the back, but not before cutting poor Valkrina's jugular... I managed to cleave my sword in their heads, but I couldn't save the bard since I couldn't see what I was doing, although it won't be because I didn't try...
One last detail I want to tell you: the priests... they are not human. At some point I thought I saw reptilian, serpentine features in them. In fact, there was a moment when I could see two snakes appear from nowhere, but I don't know if it was some magic trick that made me believe I was seeing things that simply weren't there.
If you ask my opinion, I think we should put the heads of these priests on pikes and display them in front of the kitchen, for others to see. And also in case these... things are able to rise again. Perhaps the slaves were under some kind of enchantment to feed these hideous beings.
It being daylight, we could return to Xambaala, but not before making sure that what we have done has had some effect. We only saw two priests when we entered the... kitchen. Perhaps those were all there are, and since we have risked our lives in search of treasure, I think we should keep an eye out and see what they have left behind.
Before we go, I would say we bury our dead comrades.
What do you think?
