Good point! Kurot will try to get the attention of just the one. While he's doing that, he'll look around for any blunt object he might be able to use as a weapon.

Urlando will take whatever meager cover he has behind the rock he found, and wait for the creatures to approach. Remembering the advice of Sha'oul and his companion, he's going to wait for an opportunity to engage in melee with his morningstar, rather than fire ineffective bowshots.

If a combined Luck Check for Podo and Kurot is successful (14+7/2 = 10), the rocks may be used as intended.
Either of you may roll for it.

He also has a +1 modifier, (which gets applied to the target of the roll, not the roll itself, since he needs to roll below the target, right?)—not that it matters with this roll.

Round 2
Unable to find a rock formation suitable for crushing the energy beasts, Podo fires a wayward pellet as it charges at him. (Miss)
Kurot finds a sizable rock to use as missile. (Make an attack roll. 1d4 base dmg.)
Silvestri aims and fires his blaster weapon into the mass of formed energy, sending rippling waves across its surface! (10pt. dmg)
Max succeeds in manifesting powers from beyond this dimension and his head transforms, covered with glowing artificial fibers that imitate the head of a great cat!
The Minders advance! First contact is made with Podo as the entity charges forward and slams into the giant mushroom! Electrical bolts bounce across his body and snap with pain as they sink into the ground! (DMG 15)
All others wait and delay their attack until the targets approach within range.

Anton notes the electrical attack so he uncoils the whip that he took from the mechanical creatures and lets it trail on the ground so that any eletrical attack will be grounded to the earth. He crouches low to the ground and tries to stay behind his meager cover.

Urlando will crouch low behind the rock he's taking shelter behind. He plans to jump out and batter the nearest creature when they are close.
OOC: Is there any opportunity for stealth/hiding roll here, or has Urlando already been spotted?

I'll stay in humanoid form for now.. Urlando wouldn't be much help in the combat as a rat.

OOC: Podo makes a Reflex save vs. DC 10. He rolled an 11.
Kurot throws his fist-sized rock at the energy beast, but it bounces harmlessly to the ground. (Miss)
Silvestri fires a beam at the approaching line of minders but the ray is absorbed and dissipated. (Miss)
Sha’oul and Jan’ort whirl their weapons over their heads, waiting for the proper engagement range.
All others wait for their opportunities to strike.
