Noor
After taking the filter mask while covering the lift, Noor tells everyone nearby to hold onto something. "We're going out!" She faces Zid and Miya "We're going to hold them off, I think. Don't let anyone get through that lift door."
Dex: [2d6]=4+1=5
If she's still conscious, she'll call out to Assana. "Do you have control of the Queen yet?"
Are there any bubble suits left?

Re: Chapter Nine: Year 300, 6th Day
Combat turns 26 - And "Oops!"
Reven
The combination of the door, the interruptions and the fact that the ship isn't designed to be flown in harbour from the emergency controls combines to mean that Reven makes one small error - wiping out the port dorsal camera and hooking the Galley under the other door. This unexpected mistake doesn't last long, but the shock throws Reven entirely off kilter and temporarily out of his seat. The thrust quickly tips the ship by about 45 degrees while the door is scraped across the galley roof and the back end of the engine room bangs into the hanger wall. From somewhere, plastic pellets are skittering about on the floor making footing unsteady as Reven tries to correct the miss-alignment. And to add to the chaos, the other door starts to slip and fall away, flipping slowly as it does. What has happened to the air-raft is anyone's guess!
Arnwulf and Nālani
Arnwulf's attempts to sort his armour and give himself first aid in a cramped space are aided by Nālani's decision to open the door and give him room. The timing couldn't be worse, and the jolt from the door-strike flips her out - where the plastic outer coating of her suit starts her sliding across the Hanger floor. Pranit's grav-car is also moving, threatening to crush the intruder who is also sliding across the bay! Both Nālani and the intruder are totally surprised by the situation and each other and end up entangled in each other, each avoiding the sliding grav-craft. Arnwulf is not in the best position to take advantage of this since he's holding on for dear life. Could Arnwulf and Nālani please make Initiative rolls
Tiberius
Tiberius feels the ship going over and grabs the door jambs with both hands. The barricade disintegrates as the ship yaws and falls in his direction, but fails to hit him by some margin.
Indrani
The table and chairs in the Library are mag-clamped to the floor, and provide a safe and secure seat for Indrani.
Zid and Miya
Taking Noor's direction, Zid and Miya move to be able to spring an ambush on anyone exiting the lift - when the ship lurches. Zid loses her footing and falls to the floor. Miya takes the whole lurch and jolt experience in her stride - but has scratched the paintwork as she's grabbed the wall for balance.
Assana and Ulrika
Both are both caught by surprise. Assana is thrown to the end of the bunk; Ulrika is jolted in the chair. What the &^%$ happened?
Noor
The jolt sees Noor holding on to the cabin door as the vessel wobbles and clunks.
Maggie
Maggie feels justified being strapped in as the ship crashes so dramatically!
Pranit & the drivers
With only one arm in his armour, Pranit is twirled down the room before regaining his balance...his command of expletive is tested in several languages when the driver in the shower manages to discharge his shotgun into the ceiling!
Queen
Permission to engage autopilot!

Nālani:
Initiative; [_2d6]=(5+5)=10 +2 dex = 12 so Effect/Initiative: 4
As she slides along the deck, desperately trying to avoid being crushed by the air/raft, Nālani cries out Ā kuso!
Arriving against the wall tangled with an intruder she scrambles to bring up her machine-pistol and get clear, emptying the remaining rounds into the figure. Yabai! Shinu, akuma!

Noor
"I think we just busted loose from the dock." Noor answers the posed question and returns a few. "Can you and Zid check your radios? We may be free of the jamming."
Noor regains her footing and directs Miya to switch overwatch to the crew airlock. "Assana said there may be someone in there."
She does her best to cover Miya and watch the lift.

Rocking on the balls of his feet from the change in gravity and orientation.
Pranit rolls his eyes. "Its alright, your not a trained troop. At least you did not shoot anyone else. Keep holding it like that, it won't bite you, now.
Pranit slips in his arm and starts the fasteners.
"I think I'll take the knife also.

Re: Chapter Nine: Year 300, 6th Day
Combat turn 27...
Reven
The ship is wrestled back under control - the door on the nose has pivoted off (lots of scraping noises upstairs on the bridge, a serious crashing sound from by the crew airlock and starboard cargo hatch takes a whack too)
The rest of the current few seconds is taken returning the attitude to somewhere near vertical when the totally unexpected happens - the cameras go black. Reven is flying blind! And there are alarms going off for just about everything. (n.b. Reven is already flying in local mode)
Arnwulf and Nālani
The combat is not the masterpiece of choreography that anyone has hoped for. The Intruder takes one look at Nālani and her machine gun and tries to bat it away - as a result of which the first bullets miss him entirely and hit Pranit's aircar instead! However, despite the hopelessly short range, the second group nick the guy's vacc-suit - to little obvious effect.
Arnwulf doesn't recall the axe ever having been anywhere near this heavy before, and the sudden move of the target to engage Nālani means that the blade misses.
The intruder has managed to get hold of the arm with the SMG and attempts to remove it (the SMG skids away in the exchange, but Nālani's DEX allows her to wiggle out of the hold) - and trying to keep Nālani between him and Arnwulf's cleaver (not too sucessful).
(n.b. Arnwulf and Nālani and now both fatigued because of earlier hits - so that's 3D6 and take the lowest two from now on!)
Somewhere in the background, the floor stops leaning and the emergency lighting comes on.
Indrani and Tiberius
The sound of shifting furnature abates and the floor returns to horizontal. The terminal in the Library shuts down as the lights go out - and then the emergency power comes on and the terminal starts to reset in local mode. Computer skill roll please
Those on the crew deck
The driver that shot the ceiling is whimpering a bit - He's dislocated or broken a finger!
Pranit is fastening the last of his armour and looking for his knife.
Assana is recovering her terminal and Ulrika is trying to get the drone to get a shot of the ship exiting the bay from her slumped position on the seat. Wow - There goes the door and that looks like at least two have fallen off midair! Ooooh - That air-raft's a wreck!
You can definitely paint an air-raft silhouette on your hull - 50 Tons of roof seems to have met 2500 tons of ship with the air-raft in the middle! I'll let you know when it stops falling.
Zid disentangles herself from the coffee-pot
Maya, cheerily acknowledges Noor's request and heads to the airlock door, beckoning to Maggie as she goes.
Noor waits in ambush
From the lift-shaft, there is clattering and a thump - and from the bridge the sound of shooting.
And then the lights go out and the systems start to reconfigure to local mode.

Nālani accepts the temporary loss of the machine-pistol with equanimity. The magazine was empty anyway. She reaches for her snub pistol and tries to get out of the way of both the intruder and Arnwolf.
