As 3of4 sees the room is slowly filling with green gas, he can see the dragons head on the door.
One nostril is still blocked with material, the other has some material hanging from it and the green smoke is flowing out of it.

The group waits patiently as 3of4 disappears back into the room.
After a minute or two you notice the green smoke seems to be a lot thicker.
All of a sudden, you hear an angry bellow followed by a squawking screech.

Lothien
After a moment of indecision, says "We have to check that." Runs down the stairs and looks into the room for 3of4, attempting to hold his breath and not breathe in the smoke.

Rodrigo growls under his breath and follows, taking a great breath and holding it. He peers into the room in an attempt to help Lothien pin down the location of their comrades.

Lothien has darkvision ability. Don't know if that helps see through smoke.

Lothien and Rodrigo start back down the stairs.
"Stop, the smoke burns." 3of4 shouts back through the veil of smoke.

Lothien
"Don't get in fight by yourself 3!" Backs up the stairs to the surface.

You all hear another ear splitting screech from within the smoke.

After more screeching and a heavy thud, you all hear the whir of gears and 3of4 comes out of the smoke pulling something on the end of a piece of rope.
As he reaches you on the stairs you see a large, what looks to be a flightless bird, with wicked looking talons and beak wrapped up in a lasso.
It slumps forward onto the ground, a lot of feathers burned off and its skin still smoking, it is very obviously dead.

3of4
Looks down to check himself. I believe the gas is acidic. he knocks on his chest to see if any of the patina was burned off and overall does a quick self diagnostic.

Lothien sees Sade checking on 3of4 and the dead fowl, goes to Awwrak. Awwrak, are you alright? You don't look well. We should heal you.

3of4
Turning towards Lothien and Awwrak:
Birds are sometimes used to detect poisons in the air of mineshafts since they are more acceptable to the effects that minors, and act as an early warning system. Reasoning: Awwrak might be more acceptable to it himself since he is a similar model. Conclusion: I must return to the room and find a way to stop the gas before Awwrak or the rest of you continue onward.

The multicolored bird is approximately 7 feet tall.
It has nasty long, razor sharp talons and a wedge shaped beak that looks almost like an axe head.
It has several patches where the feathers have come off and it is still smoking slightly from the effects of the green smoke in the room downstairs.

Rodrido regards the big bird with a raised eyebrow. "So many jokes," he mutters under his breath. "You okay, amigo?" He looks to their metallic comrade.

Turning to Rodrigo. All systems nominal. I am ready to go back inside now and try to clear the way for you.

Awwrak straightens up, ceasing his coughing. It is very hard to read facial expression on a beak. He clucks his tongue twice and replies to Lothien,
"I will be fine. I am not a songbird."
He looks over the corpse of the towering bird-creature on the floor. He comments succinctly,
"Doesn't fly, don't know it."
"I left the doorway to the long hallway open, next to the poison gas. That should be helping. The gas was not harmful before, so perhaps interacting with the nostrils has changed it," he surmises. He then steps up and places a taloned hand on 30f4.
"All-Father guide you."
Guidance: +1d4 to a skill check in the next 10 rounds.

3of4
Whether or not the blessing is understood is impossible to read on the expressionless warforged's face. After the brief pause, there are some internal whirls and ratcheting sounds from within 3of4 before he wordlessly stride back into the gas.
