You would have to convince some that they must protect you, their messianic leader. Those could attack the others. You could then convince the others to stand their ground against your protectors and fight to the death. You cannot command them to commit suicide.
I don't know if you can or want to change your action, but it seems like ordering the morlocks to fight each other is more useful than having them run away. Will the empathy power still "stick" when they've run away? After it expires, will they just come back? Death is a lot more certain and permanent. ;)

it'll last for 20 mins giving us time to regroup and escape.

the problem that it's going to be way more difficult to get them to fight each other, so I went for an option that is more likely to give results.

unless I've misunderstood Norjax's reply and its just a case of giving different orders to different groups

That's how I took it—you give one group orders to protect you and the others to keep trying to kill you. They fight, we win. :D

"Commit suicide" isn't a viable command. "That morlock next to you is your mortal enemy! Kill it!" probably is. As is Norjax's version.

I mean, there's gotta be a hundred ways to get a group of supposed allies to start fighting among themselves. You think it only happens to PC parties? ;)

Norjax, I've modified my action based on this discussion. I hope that's ok, if not I'll change it back.

Looking at your latest update, it seems I only have 10 luck, so unless someone can source me a point I'm going to have to change my action, sorry.

As #10 is now dead, and #11 is surrounded, if I have to do this would you allow me to keep the roll and just change to a domination attack on #12.

He used a point with the Domination power:

sorry, so can I keep the roll and change it to a domination attack, or do you want me to just downgrade the empathy attack?

Remember, the Domination on #13 ends after Round 9.

Denslow could give you a point, since his life depends on this.

Your Empathy attack will last 2 turns (20 minutes).

Could I get some help with Kurot's movement rate? I'm wondering if his speed will let him move far enough to go guard Denslow's retreat, or at least get far enough to fire at the morlocks ganging up on Denslow.

Kurot has a normal movement of 135 (135ft) per round and still use his three actions (attacks).

On his initiative, Kurot can move 13.5 hexes and make three attacks, 27 hexes and make two attacks, 40.5 hexes and one attack or 54 hexes and no actions. :)

Thanks for patience. I'll wait to here from greyarea about a point of luck from denslow.

Failing that I think I may have a backup plan.

:-)

Since #10 died before round 9, can I swap him for #13 (currently dominated)

Are you still waiting for greyarea?
Zhym wrote:Can I declare a ranged attack (from the cart) if Denslow gets free of the morlocks, and a melee attack if not? And can I say that Kurot only attacks any morlocks that don't seem to be busy attacking each other? If so, how should I roll all those contingent attacks?
Yes. Make three unmodified attack rolls for Kurot. If they are three ranged, then I'll add the appropriate modifiers. If you move and make two melee, I will use the first two rolls and adjust with the melee modifiers.

Outline your contingencies and I will select the logical path based on the results that occur before Kurot's initiative.

Thanks. I’ll post the rolls and details when I’m back at my computer.

Shouldn’t Kurt get three attacks either way, since the enemies on Denslow are within 13 hexes?

Sorry, yes. A normal move (135ft/13.5 hexes) is free. Any increment over 135 counts as a second move and spends an action.
