"That makes sense to me," agrees Kurot. "Perhaps we can find something besides scraps that other scavengers left behind."

Tunnel Complex Ring Hallway, 298D/81 (Morning)
Deciding to continue exploring before salvaging scrap, you proceed counterclockwise to the next open doorway. Kurot leads for another 60ft before reaching an 8ft open door. This door is more structurally stout then the previous one and was once painted a medium blue color. {u]MacMak[/u] lights his torch and enters the corridor, traveling just over 40ft before reaching the end of the hall.

There, he finds a junction of two 4ft side passages each leading to 4ft diameter wells. The wells have ladder rungs descending 35ft to a circular door with a spoked wheel in the center.

The primary and branch hallways are relatively clean with subtle pieces of rubbish, dirt and dust accumulated over the ages.

I wonder where those lead. Perhaps we can explore them further once we've checked this level more thoroughly, suggests Denslow. I say we continue on.

"Let me drop something, so wee can calculate the distance". After that, MacMak throw some small debris.

Continuing for another 80ft or so, you reach a hollow column exactly like the one you ascended. This one drops 40ft to a floor with an open doorway and rises beyond the limits of your illumination. Another open doorway is 40ft above this floor.

Silvestri looks at the new vertical tunnel thoughtfully, and glances back the way we came.
"This probably leads to another stop area, as we thought this ring is likely sitting above the turntable. There should be two more vertical tunnels like these, spaced at similar points, one for each of the pod tunnels. If I've got this right, the next shaft on should lead to the stop area in the tunnel directly across from where we left the pods, exactly where we wanted to go. Hopefully there is a pod there"

The baboon follows along with the crowd.
It's too bad we don't know what any of these rooms are- maybe we could figure out the color code. But right now, we got no place to start figuring.

Tunnel Complex Ring Hallway, 298D/81 (Morning)
You proceed past the open, gray door and deeper into the center of the ring structure. The 8ft wide corridor terminates at a 15ft diameter room with a 4ft diameter metal shaft running floor to ceiling. The shaft is set into shallow recesses pockets that are 7ft in diameter and anchored into the artificial stone floor and ceiling. Dull green metal cabinets line the curved walls around the shaft. Their doors are open, and many metal ropes hang out of the recessed bins.

On the floor are several small metal containers filled with a haphazard assortment of colored bone and metal rope sections. Some of the contents look like pieces of hardened translucent candy set between colored bone segments. These same “candy” shapes are inside the wall boxes. Several look as if they are burned and melted by an intense flame. There are tools scattered about including recognizable pliers and a type of scissors.
Unlike the previous rooms with wall cabinets, this area has not been ransacked and stripped of parts. Instead, it appears that someone has tried to fix and/or restore the various parts inside the recessed wall bins.

Silvestri looks around
"We should be careful here and leave the things in the wall cabinets alone, or we might break the pods. We could take some of the unused bits, though. I wonder how long ago they tried to fix it. Maybe we can try and close the door behind us when we leave, to help keep it safe."
ooc: is there much dust in this room, and if so any footprints? Are there any manuals lying around?

Awesome, dudes! You know tools sell for mucho dinero! Belial will gather up whatever tools are lying around, and a few of the 'bone and candy' pieces.
