"So what do you think we should do with the loot? Just load up the mules with gold? I think those songbirds might be worth something. We could stop with the gnomes and convert the gold into gems to carry it more easily."

Nerith "We've not a lot of options load what we can on the mules and if we have do i guess some of us can carry a little more on our person. Though question would be was this gold part of the gnome's caravan if so then rightfully the coin belongs to them not us."

He frowns, "That's a good point, I hadn't thought about that."
He looks to Ralgil Bao, "Good gnome, do you have any idea on the goods and value of the cargo your wagons were carrying?"

The gnome rubs a knot on his forehead and winces as if in discomfort. "We had pottery, fine glasswares, barrels of strong gnomish brandy and a crate of automatons, all bound for Highforge and from there the Gnomish Caravan south to Specularum."

Nerith "Well then Ralgil Bao, I'm guessing the money wasn't taken from your group. The giant was a busy one for sure."

Ralgil Bao, gnome

"Oh, there was money. Lots and lots of gold. Two thousand gold, at least." He looks incredibly sincere, and not like he's trying to pull a fast one or anything.

Nerith nods listening to the gnome and telling he is not lying at least to his best observation of the gnome. "We will give you back that money it belongs to you and your kin. We've no right in keeping that portion for certain. But we should get things packed up and get out of this area before more trouble finds us. Are you well enough to move Ralgil?"

"Did I say two thousand? I meant, uh, four thousand gold. That's right! It was four thousand gold. I was knocked on the head when I was captured, and plum forgot how much gold I was carrying. Silly me!"

Nerith "Well all we found was 2500 gold." the outdoors-man thinks back trying to recall if anyone said how much we really found outloud around the gnome.

Drust

"I think we best move and figure anything else out latter, trouble lurks near by I feel." Drust helps load the mules and decides he will pay close attention to our new Gnome friend.

If not, Bodhi puts his hands inside the sleeves of his robes and glares at the gnome. "A distinctly unfortunate loss of memory for someone already in a precarious position. Should I cast a spell upon you to improve your memory through the positive healing of truth?" He takes his hands out of his sleeves and begins to move them in a manner like casting a spell.

If he is untied, Bodhi puts his hands inside the sleeves of his robes and simply glares at the gnome. He makes a note to himself not to let the gnome out of his site till they return him to his clan.

I stated at one point that Nerith went to cut the bindings on the gnome, so yes he should be freed.

Moving away from the gnome and within earshot of as many of the group Elerik whispers, "I don't trust him. I say truss him up again until we're in sight of Highforge. That way we can be sure of no misbehaving?"
He looks enquiringly at the others.

Bodhi presses his fingers together to form a tepee and nods in agreement. "I know a swindler when I see one and he is certainly a swindler. For all we know, he betrayed the caravan to the giant and ended on the wrong side of the bargain."

Nerith says away from the gnome's ears "I agree. Keep the coin far from the gnome and let us just leave him off near his warren we can stick to our normal planned trail."

(OOC - I still vote to actually tie him back up, sling him over a mule until we get close to Highforge (keep wanting to say Highgarden)
