Mac
Mac is a bit ashamed that he hesitated in helping the fallen halfling. "Ah. Well. Yes. Good work everyone." He turns his attention to the pile of rubbish in the corner. "Good gods! I thought this place was tidier than that. That looks like the offings from a back-alley whorehouse."
Mac notices most people focusing on the pile. "Are we going to rush after that thief again?"

Dining Room
First Mid Morning Inside
Sprig, Elitir, and Mac stare into the corner refuse pile while Finnigan keeps a close eye on the four magic portals. The scratching and scurrying is ever present, with a rats head or tail revealing itself from the darkness periodically. The pile continues to squirm and wriggle. The silver watermelon is unmoving, only partially covered by the stinking funk.
Zefarrel tries to comfort the half-dead halfling, sadly realizing that there isn't much she can do to help the poor incapacitated thief. Pumfrey's condition seems grim, and it wont be getting better anytime soon unless some kind of antidote to whatever has poisoned him can be found.
Grossphil looks around the room in silence. The weak mage seems a bit distant lately.
Actions?
Elitir 13/22
Zefarrel 20/20 0/4 first 2/3 second
Grossphil 16/16 1/2 first 0/1 second
Mac 7/7 0/2 first 1/1 second
Sprig 10/10 2/2 first
Finnigan 18/25

Re: Home Sweet Home
”This is a long shot, but try putting that mysterious stone in Pumfrey’s hand,” says Sprig over his shoulder. ”Or... did we find any stoppered vials or potions on the one we killed? I can’t remember.” He eyes the half buried silver watermelon automaton. ”I wonder if we could poke that thing. Or dig it out.” he tries to estimate if he could do so without stepping on the matted and soiled tapestries.
Re: Home Sweet Home
"No, but the two thieves dropped a potion when we first encountered them, remember? He's likely to die without an antidote, so... it can't hurt to give him some of that potion and see if it helps," Finnigan replies, now shifting his attention to the carpets and the silver watermelon.
"Do ya suppose if we get that big silver ball clear of the rugs it'll get back to cleaning up things?"he asks nobody in particular.

Mac
"Of course! The pebble! I thought it may grant some sort of invisibility, but it could protect one from poison. Just like in the book "1001 ways to die", there is something called a bezoar. In that situation, the user had to consume the pebble but it's worth a shot."
Mac moves to place the found pebble in the hands of Pumphrey. "That potion couldn't hurt either."

"Should I try the potion first? I hear you can sometimes get an idea of what they do that way. I hate not being able to do anything for him."

Re: Home Sweet Home
The silver watermelon is accessible, though you would have to step right up to the pile to get at it.
Placing the tiny green pebble in the hand of Pumfrey has no effect on his condition. He still looks very sick.
You had already determined that the decoy potion was nothing more than water, but nobody mentioned actually taking it with them.
Let’s just say that Sprig pocketed it after his little joke and still has it on him.

Grossphil the Feeble
Grossphil shudders as he looks at Pumfrey's decaying form, both because it's a sad way to die and because he can only imagine that amount of grotesque diseases the poison could have given him. He may even be contagious...
Grossphil hurriedly moves to the others by the pile and takes in the mess. He frowns and says, "If we had detect life we could determine if something was in that pile. But since I don't think we do, perhaps someone should investigate further? I feel like trying to get the cleaning device to activate, a device conveniently placed near the pile, can only be a trap for whatever creature dwells in it. So someone could try flushing out whatever's in the pile and I could magic missile it? Other thoughts?"

Zefarrel: If the halfling is to have any hope, we need to find some sort of antidote. We could take him with us from room in case we find something and to keep him from being eaten.
If any of you have the urge to dig in the pile of awful, I'll help Fin keep watch.

Mac
Mac pockets the pebble and stands up. "All the tales of poison, the curable ones that is, always make note of the poisoner having an antidote. I suspect Pumphrey's only hope is to find that thief and get the antidote from him."
Mac looks around. "I suggest we leave the trash for later and hunt down that thief. Which portal did he use again?"

For the record, Doblin went through the western portal. The one with the D in front of it on this map.

Elitir steps around Pumfrey and through the portal. "Make sure not to forget Pumfrey." She is prepared to deal with the thief, loaded sling in hand.

Zefarrel will see if Fin is going to go through 2nd. If he does, she will carry Pumfrey and go through next. If Fin picks up Pumfrey, she will go through 2nd with hammer in hand.
