I have an elf I just rolled up, but... I'm thinking a 6th level Bandy is going to be more important for me to bring along.

Yeah, that's why I said the part about people who weren't in Fingers's last party. We don't want to lose any of our current high level peeps.

If Bianca's group votes to come back to town, Winnie would be excited to join Finger's group, especially if they are heading to a wizard's tower.
Credentials: She is a level 3 MU, but should be level 4 when she returns. She has a CHA 17, which you all could probably use. She hasn't made any deals with any devils, demons, or other infernal creatures.
Clay is looking to head north with anyone interested in joining him. I haven't been actively recruiting because of the Orb and I'd love to steal the folks from Bianca's current expedition.

Well... Willow either has to track down a 9th level cleric or she needs to head north to the crystal tower or she'll suffer unspeakable horrors. So... she'll look into the former while in town. If she can't find one who can do what she needs, then she'll sign up to head north with Clay. She's fascinated by the hero whose faith in Beith is so strong she chose to reincarnate him...
What's Clay looking for up north, anyway?

Hi folks!,
I'm rolling up a new character which will probably be a cleric of Gwanwen (unless I get really crappy roles and end up with Meatshield the dumb, clumsy, sickly, ugly Fighter )
Is there any expedition which would find such a cleric useful?

Go with the orb!!! Loads of low level characters should get the job done nicely!

Man, I'm still amazed Clay managed to find some suckers do-gooders willing to take that thing off his hands.

Hengist will be happy to go out with Fingers and the gang again.

Clay told her this a while ago so she can ask the masked women follow up questions if she likes. Such as if the sunken, Crystal Tower is the tomb, and if the glass pillar is related to the iron rod, though that seems unlikely.
North of the forest, due west of the great solitary mountain, is a place of power that you are drawn to. Those who plugged the Well of Worlds, who you learn call themselves Wardens, imposed their will on this part of the world and did so from that central location. Indeed, the well calls out to the tomb of the one who sealed it; Beith reveals that his magical tomb is located at that spot and contains the rod which can dispel the enchantment on the well. He is buried at the center of the nexus, guarding the most precious treasures of the Wardens, so that those places the Wardens sealed cannot be set free.
Go north to the tomb>Get the iron rod>Take the rod to the Well of the World's>Uncork the Well.
Seems simple enough...

Looking for PC's to go Head to the Spiral vault with the Orb. See Neegan at the tavern.

Smoglea- Halfling/ GreyWolf
Erien-/Human /Cleric of Baudh
Need one one high level thief or dwarf
Couple more fighter types
A M.U. or Elf would be useful also.

I agree that we need more than 3 since both my characters are only level 1 I imagine it'll be harder for me to help.

It is unlikely you'll succeed in one trip. You couldn't consider the first tell a scouting mission to find the vault, then return after leveling up. Bremen might allow you to store the Orb at the White Tower while you're out and about. I'll need to think on it though. He would be trustworthy enough, but he isn't there. Only his minions...

Has anyone signed up to go back and deal with the demon hole other than (probably) Pendleton? Due to Neegan taking up the orb and PCs having to go NPC, I think we're down to the following:
Ablesforth
Brother Dolph Gundanar (NPC)
Pendleton Kettleworth
That...doesn't seem like enough.

We also have 2 more Templars (both 3rd level fighters). It would be nice to have more PCs, but without Protection from Evil, a PC is pretty much guaranteed to die, I think.

Maybe we should reevaluate the Protection from Evil plan in favor of just killing the heck out of the sniffers. The problem with the PfE plan is that it doesn't reduce the sniffer count any, and it doesn't let us completely avoid them. Didn't we spend a lot of the last mission in battles of strength between PfE and the sniffers?
Do normal weapons injure the sniffers? If so, we could fight them with regular weapons and reserve holy water and magic weapons for making them stay dead. If not, we need to make sure everyone has magic weapons available.

The strength tests were when the characters with PfE were trying to block the doors, limiting the number of sniffers in the room with not-protected characters.
We could go in in a military fashion, keeping Templars at the doors all around the party, letting one or two in at a time with a bunch of not-protected murder hobos in a room. Same plan but with more volume. (We were low on characters that could actually kill.)
My current thought was to just go in with our warding and walk right to the source and cast Dispel Magic.
I could go either way. More characters means more loot carried out, though it is all likely to be tainted by the infernal...

What if the sniffers block the path to the source? Or what if we encounter something other than sniffers? Pendleton will be able to put goblins to sleep, but he lacks other crowd control spells like web, so our only viable option for dealing with threats is fighting them.
