Garrett does not pursue the orc children or female orcs.

I thought this was the IC thread?

Montego looks back at Titus What? Do you think if we let the children live they will grow up to be merchants? Or farmers? NO......THEY WONT!!! They will grow up to be orcs! That is all they know. That is all they are capable of knowing. They are not innocent......they are an abomination of nature. Do you want to be responsible for the poor people these bastards will kill one day? I don't. So, unless you see another solution.....every one of these orcs will be slain. Any objections?KingOfCowards wrote:Titus speaks calmly, "Surely the children have done you no harm, Ranger. Or are you going to judge them on crimes they have no yet committed?"

Garrett wiping the orc blood from his dagger "Do as you must ranger, I've no means to stop you. I just don't feel up to the task at the moment. Anyone seen the two half wits that betrayed us on the ferry? If they're not dead they soon will be."

To kill or not to kill?
Milli, Fredricus and the goodly rouge, Garrett are back on their feet. Milli is busy rounding up horses. Ultimately she will present the party with 12 more draft horses who were hidden in the woods (25 horses total in the party's possession.).
Garret shakes off the effects of near death and walks behind the Orc Chief, who is distracted talking to Calen. Garrett slits the chiefs throat. The chief falls dead. Garret wipes the blade clean and asks: "Anyone seen the two half wits that betrayed us on the ferry? If they're not dead they soon will be."
Gog bolts south; running faster than anyone ever saw a 1/2 Orc move.
Gog's mother continues to whale and moan over Magog.
The party notices the Orc victims. The ferryman and his son, a couple with an 8 yr old child. Four old ladys and a priest. The victims have been stripped of valuables by the Orcs.
Sanu walks toward the mouth of the shallow cave with Montego shortly behind. Sanu looks inside while Montego turns to make his argument for killing immature Orcs.
Inside the Cave
A female comforts 3 immature Orcs, a common male Orc is present and cowering. A prisoner lies on the floor, gagged and bound. To Sanu's surprise, he sees an ancient Orc in a makeshift bed. He is the tribal elder and the tribal shaman.
The shaman is very weak and can not get up from bed. Barely able to lift his head, he sees Sanu and quickly intones a spell.
Sanu save vs spell.
Montego will be first to observe.

Orc Shaman
Montego notices that Sanu is still like a statue. The hairy barbarian just stands there, partly obscuring the cave entry.

Titus remains calm despite the verbal onslaught from Montego and he follows after the ranger. "I object. You may be right or you may be wrong. Who's to say? Until they have done some evil, I count them innocent. If you predict the future,...." his words trail off when he sees Sanu held and something going on in the cave. He lifts his spear as he gets closer to inspect.OGRE MAGE wrote:I thought this was the IC thread?Montego looks back at Titus What? Garrett while the debate ensues grabs for his bow and hopes to catch the halfwit Gog with a couple arrows Long Bow Arrow 1[1d20 +3] = 2+3 = 5 Arrow 2[1d20 +3] = 14+3 = 17 Dmg 1[1d6] = 5 Dmg 2[1d6] = 1 DM pending of course otherwise Garrett will attempt to see what is going on with Sanu.

Montego sees Sanu frozen and knows there is a spell caster about. Knowing full well the next spell could be his death he will charge to the cave mouth and attempt to get past his unmoving comrade. Sword in hand, he will attack anything looking like a witch doctor or shaman.

But Titus just poked his head in there. The entrance is blocked.
Stand bye please. The above may or may not happen.

Calen continues to check the ferry and make sure that the horses and cart are secured. He does not worry about the orc anymore, the wWarriors are dead and the others can do what they like as long as the group gets a move on soon.

Sanu and Titus
With his right arm on the cave entrance, his left around Sanu, and his head poked into the cave, it is obvious that Titus is talking to someone.
The party hears Titus say "I can not promise your safety . . .".

In the Woods
Gog yelps in pain. Garrett shot him in the ass before he escaped into the trees.

Montego, lower your sword. The orc wants to make a trade says the Warrior of Westmarch.

Garrett goes to look for Sanu, Montego and Titus. But first he yells off at Gog "Don't show yer face again or I'll kill you!"

Garrett points his crossbow at the shaman "What are you fools doing talking to filthy orcs? Did you not learn what they just did to us? Step away so that I might kill him."

The old Orc looks up at Garrett and creeks: I can tell you where the next uprising will be. But you must spare the survivors.GreyWolfVT wrote:Garrett points his crossbow at the shaman "What are you fools doing talking to filthy orcs? Did you not learn what they just did to us? Re: Queen Regeina's Ethical Philosophers Depart.
Garrett rage beginning to wear off a bit raises an eyebrow "Alright what uprising is that? Of the warring humans or another orc ambush?" bow still aimed but slowly pointing closer to the ground. oops my mistake it's a bow not a crossbow.
