Fendt "It won't take but a moment Agrippo all I would do is identify your new sword I barely even need to touch the thing. Otherwise I will not hinder your search. Besides I need to hunt down the bastard Strahd for imprisoning me here with trickery."

Neither Tibbius nor Fendt recognize the thing in the jar. They think it's a body part, but they can't tell what it is or from what creature it came.
Vorkath asks about loose gems that might fill the setting in the ring, but no one seems to have one.
Fendt offers to magically identify the ring. At the suggestion of the group, he focuses on Agrippo's newly re-formed sword instead. He pulls an expensive pearl from his robe, smashes it with the pommel of his dagger, and grinds the bits into a fine white powder. He mixes the powder with some water in a small vial and drinks it. He takes the sword from Agrippo and concentrates on it. He falls into a momentary trance.
When he emerges, he declares that the sword is called the "Sunsword." It has an enchantment against all enemies but is stronger against the undead. When the Sunsword is within 30' of the undead, the blade will glow a brilliant blue. Against vampires it is truly fearsome, causing massive damage with each strike!

Fendt "Well there you have a very fearsome sword in a place that it is much needed. I hope you are a bit less untrusting of me."

I'm glad it wasn't something that only an arcane caster could use. Good luck with that thing Agrippo.

Vorkath, paladin
"We have struck a double blow to Strahd, destroying evil heart and gaining the sword of light!"declares The Faith Hunter. He removes his helmet for a breather, revealing (
Cha. 17) bright blue eyes, flowing black hair, chiseled features, a bright pearly smile of relief at a job well done.
"The sword of light makes our trevails in this tower worth the risk. The hour is late. Shall we continue or rest here? That pentagram still holds malevelant weight. Though the room can be fortified, and the Sunsword can alert us of approaching undead."

Illuq nods his head in agreement, "I agree, the sword can alert us and the tower is not under the control of evil any longer... I think this is a good place to rest... if you all agree so as well that is.."

"well bless Madam Evas. cotton undies...her cards favoured fortune upon us. " Agrippo hoists the Sunsword aloft, "cor it might even cause this old gruff penal Sgt to repent and change his ways like old viking bloodaxe over there....hmmm then again a shiny sword and some new armour, trim the beard and the maidens will fall at my feet quicker than Strahd zombies",Agrippo debates how a new sword will change his ways?"now to find something to enhance my wisdom and charisma just a tad!"
Agrippo will volunteer to lead the way down the stairs when the party is ready

Fendt "I am ready to leave this tower if you all don't mind I will follow along."

Will the group press on down the stairs, or rest for the night?

Fendt doesn't care so long as they don't mind him following for a while.

Are we sure we want to sleep in a room with a summoning pentagram? What if something nasty gates in?

Fendt "I personally have had enough of this tower and room so I'd prefer not to sleep in here. Or in this castle at all really."

Iluq, "Is there some way to break the summoning circle? Or dispel it? I am not sure a simple dispel magic would work on something like this..."

Tib
I could cast a dispel magic on it but I don't know if there is any way to tell if that actually did anything to it.

Fendt "Would this not be perhaps more of a divine magic instead of our arcane magics? Otherwise I have no spells memorized for said task at the moment."

Vorkath, paladin
"The pentragram remains evil even with nothing within it," comments Vorkath. "Or perhaps something is in there and we don't know it? I suppose we should move out of the room then."

You continue to discuss your next move. Although the tower room might be a defensible place to rest, Tibbius and Fendt voice concerns about the pentagram. Iluq suggests trying to break the pentagram or dispel its magic, but the party's spell casters are not sure how such a spell would work on a pentagram.
Vorkath suggests that the party should move on. The only way you can find out of this room is down. Will you descend all the way to the bottom of the tower, or cross over to the south tower you climbed to get here? You passed by some doors on your way to this room...

Vorkath the paladin takes a sample sip from the translucent sapphire-colored fluid and the crystal vial filled with a clear liquid, hoping to identify what potions they may be.
"Let's find a fortifiable room to rest, perhaps checking the doors we passed," he says.

Fendt looks over the items on the bed takes the unfinished ring and pockets it. He also takes all of his items that the group members allow if nobody objects to him taking his potion of invisibility he will otherwise he reluctantly will leave it on the bed. "Hmm you passed doors to get here it might be worth a checking."

Tibbius
I think some of these things are probably used for summoning components. We should take them with us in case we need to use them in the future. if we still have a future
Tib will take the jar of pitch and the strange body part if there are no objections.
