Elf #3 fully supports Thordin being the first one in harm's way whenever possible (Lanny is tired of getting almost-killed all the time).

@TK: Am I reading this correctly, that a rowan shield can be used sort of like a permanent Detect Magic spell, but with a 5' range?

Yeah, that's what it says. But it will give no indication of direction, item, etc and it must be worn on the forearm for a PC to feel the vibration.

Okay, guys, I'd like a decision soon. One door, locked, leading away from the tower. One secret door, some sort if spell on it, leading towards the tower. Or neither. Please be clear and decisive.

Lanny votes for: 1) Saul trying to pick the lock on the man-sized door first, 2) Thordin trying to push open the secret door (with rowan shield in hand) second, 3) the party moving the horses into the caves after both doors are checked and the area is deemed safe.

Now, we could possibly use Tratiln's Analyze scroll on the secret door, since Drudsa has that spell in his second spell book (for our future study), but that would complicate our current spell study plans since both Analyze and Ventriloquism are in that same second spell book. So I'd actually prefer to save the scroll for something else that we might find later in the tower.
