Whispers in response to Torbath. "I suspected as much, myself. The man is rather effusive of this apparent demi-god, especially after charming Darklin and its ultimatum."

Re: Activation Station II, The Cold Basement
Consequences
Midday, Dark
Almost Total Darkness
The strange magical darkness seems to penetrate this entire room, limiting light sources to about a quarter of their normal range. The two groups gather together and discuss their options, eventually agreeing on a second trip into the basement to check on the status of Toni, Geezer, and Jon, the three headed giant guardian they duped into heading below before they left this place the first time.
They take the time to heal up a little before getting into position to move in.
When they get near enough to the right hand door, their limited light sources illuminate the portal better, answering at least one of their conundrums before they even need to enter.
Standing in front of the closed door is the three headed giant, but this time, the less than cordial Jon head seems to take the lead role, staring straight at you all while the other two heads face the wall and the door. "Well, ello again. Goin sum place special, loves?" The huge humanoid leans over awkwardly, trying to bend his head down to your level to hear any replies. The rear facing (formally front) pair of heads doesn't make a sound.

Andronichishche
He arches one side of his brow where until fairly recently was an actual eyebrow. "Please excuse me for a moment." Andron turns about to face away from Jon and casts Detect Charm.
One round casting time. When complete, he will check Jon and Wake first.

Tlachtga
Tries to position herself so she can move to heal anyone who goes down.
OM, Can you confirm Faerie fire would work on the giant? Hers covers 60 liner feet and it says 12 linear feet covers a man.

The Princess
"Ah, Jon. Good to see you again. Yes, we were going back down to talk to our friend. What happened up here? Why is it so dark?"
She leans to look around the giant. "Ah, the door. It was locked, huh? No problem, I think we have the key somewhere."

Now more firmly convinced we are not in the entry way we were in previously, but an alternate darker one, she prepares for the Giant to attack.

Yrias gets also ready. Mentally ready, that is. He doesn't unsheath his two handed sword, yet.

Theo continues to stand alert, hoping that it doesn't come to having to ply the giant with his plentiful new arrows.

Re: Activation Station II, The Cold Basement

Tlachtga gets ready to heal whoever the giant decides to kill. (Yes, FF would still be possible, even if it doesn't cover the entire body.)
Andronichishche keeps his distance but begins casting a spell of detection, deliberately turning his back on the odd sounding giant.
Daisy gets busy with her healing magic, bringing Princess to slightly better health before moving towards Aliendron next.
Cresty moves forward and to the right, while Lerrick moves back and prepares to use her powerful magic.
Feanol doesn't like the looks of this place, keeping her distance and waiting for the worst.
Theo stays back, wondering if he will need to use his newly purchased arrows.
Yrias stands at the ready, but doesn't draw his sword just yet.
Torbath and Wake wait and watch, mostly each other.
As is often the case, Alordan remains uncommitted.
Maag calls out to Jon and der lads he cant see yet. Jon only grunts loudly after the chair comment, but the hissing and growling coming from the other two heads gives the normally stoic thug a bit of pause.
The Princess gets close to the Jon head, trying to look beyond the huge body of the giant. Her efforts are thwarted when the massive left hand suddenly grabs her up in its tight grip. Jerking her up off the floor in a flash, Jon snaps his disfigured jaws around her as if he were trying to bite her head off. His dripping fangs tear into the frail elf, leaving a vicious wound behind. 8 dam. This will likely not matter much, but can I get a Save vs. Death from her please?

Yrias doesn't give it much though anymore. He tries to cleave his sword on the giant's side.
Two-Handed Sword +1 - To hit [1d20+2]=5+2=7; Dmg S/M [1d10+4]=8+4=12 L [3d6+4]=9+4=13

Maag shakes his head as he watches his plan go spectacularly wrong. In fact, he shakes it so much that he completely misses his blow.

Re: Activation Station II, The Cold Basement
Alordan the reluctant ranger slices with a vengeful stroke. The giant before him evokes vision of another water giant seemingly ages ago. A vision that was a reality of pain and death. A new found friend laid low.
Long Sword Attack [1d20+1]=14+1=15 (THACO=18)
Long Sword Damage(+1 str/+1 weapon) = S/M: [1d8+2]=8+2=10 / L: [1d12+2]=10+2=12
Damage above would be another +4 vs giant type of a hit.
