How language and scripts work on Harn. You need to know both to understand something written. So, in this case the script is runic and the language is Khuzan. Leaving only Algrim who would understand it. You could of course learn that this mark means outpost etc quicker because you already know the script, but Dwarves do not teach their language to none Dwarves. They are a paranoid bunch.
Correct. The Ivinians claim Sarajin thought them Runic and the Khuzdul stole it, but there is a Khuzdul kingdom next to Ivinia that used to trade with the Ivinians and most believe they thought Runic to them to facilitate trade.
Algrim raises an eyebrow "Read it? It is so weathered I can't make anythin out."

After some discussion it is determined that the post indicates an outpost is located north of here along the trail. Unfortunately that was a long time ago and the trail, if it is the trail is more an animal path. It is approximately mid-day. Do you want to set out to find the outpost or make camp/explore the Darcen ruins and plan on exploring further north in search of the outpost tomorrow?
Algrim tries to clarify "Turnip that is tha only thing I could really make out on tha marker everythin else was too weathered to really make heads er tails of."

Idril Nagfly We have plenty of time left in the day. Let us continue forward, and see if we can find additional markers, that we might close in on the outpost before making camp.
Algrim shrugs "Camp near tha woods er if we find a old buildin maybe in one of them."

The group begins searching for any signs the Khuzdul may have left behind, moving north slowly up the small valley. As you move north into the valley occasional evidence is found of an old paved road, worked cobblestones here and there. Mostly overgrown, many probably taken over the years for use in the local villages. But long ago a Khuzdul road came this way you are certain. As the day closes in on dusk, Idril hasn't recognized the cliff face from her vision yet, but she is certain that the terrain looks very similar to it now. It could be close by, or perhaps you missed it. Either way She is certain it is near. Algrim finds a spot with a cliff to your back and enough of a clearing for a comfortable camp and you settle in for the night.
"Hmmm. If we're surrounded there's noway to run. Oh, I forgot, Ivinians never run. Okay, it'll do, I trust you on this one. You can decide on sleeping order, it's all the same to me. She lies down and stretches her back with a yawn as the others discuss."
