Quest #38 "Betwixt Water And Stone"
Re: Quest #38 "Betwixt Water And Stone"
Amun, now in some kind of berserk mode, continues going at the beast with her jagged 2H-sword. The smoke will probably affect her sight, but she should be close enough to potentially hit with a wide swing anyway.
2H sword, to hit: [1d20+1]=13+1=14, damage: [1d10+3]=7+3=10 (SM), [3d6+3]=12+3=15 (L) then additional +1 from bless, I hope

The Knife
The Knife draws a dart but realizes yet again that he's more likely to hit a friend than the enemy. He stays perched on his branch for the moment.

Yrias
Hoping the fog will help distract the creature, Yrias rushes towards Keg and casts Protection from evil on him. He will go try to go around the beast as soon as he's done it.

Two more shots. Luther continues to yell at the critter, trying to distract it.

Re: Quest #38 "Betwixt Water And Stone"
Bright Eyes, Thumping Tail
Starday, 27th of Goodmonth
Mid Afternoon, Sunny, Hot, Buggy
Yrias rushes across the trail trying to find Keg, but by the time he arrives, he doesn't have enough time to cast his spell. Keg leaps to his feet and attacks the monster, slashing the stinking thing rather effectively for someone who just fell out of a tree.
Luther puts another magical arrow into it as well, while Wake and Amun use their skills to administer a severe hurt unto the beast. After taking a beating, the blinded monster whips its tail around violently, swacking Amun hard enough to knock her to the ground dazed and confused. (4 dam and momentarily Stunned)
Having had enough of the stinging swords and arrows, the horrible monster weaves its way towards the river, trying to get away from the dangerous party it can no longer see.
Actions!
If you wish, everyone involved in combat may take one normal attack and a second attack of opportunity as it attempts to flee the area.

Keg has his adrenaline flowing now. He presses his attack!
Long Sword [1d20+1]=5+1=6 S DMG: [1d8+3]=5+3=8 L DMG: [1d12+3]=5+3=8
Long Sword [1d20+1]=4+1=5 S DMG: [1d8+3]=3+3=6 L DMG: [1d12+3]=5+3=8

Amun is disoriented and tries to stand up, leaning against a tree, wiping tears from her eyes red and irritated by the smoke.

I guess one not involved in involved in combat can still make and attack? Let's try
Two-Handed Sword - To hit [1d20+1]=16+1=17; Dmg S/M [1d10+3]=1+3=4 L [3d6+3]=11+3=14

Bright Eyes, Thumping Tail
Starday, 27th of Goodmonth
Mid Afternoon, Sunny, Hot, Buggy
The beast is attacked from behind mercilessly, but only a few of the blows actually damage the monster. It swings its clublike tail behind it as it meanders away.
Amun shakes out her cobwebs and gets back to her feet, wondering if they will continue after the fleeing beast or let it live to fight another day.
Luther leaps back out of his tree, willing to let the monster leave while it still can.
Actions?
It moves pretty slow, so you can continue after it if you wish, but attacking from behind will provoke its tail attack.

Luther
Luther shakes his head. I don't think so, Knife. It seems to be a pretty peaceable plant-eater when nobody pisses it off. I'd say let it go.
If some of the others go after it, Luther will stay back and let it go.

The Knife
"Well....we didn't exactly piss it off", says The Knife doubtfully. "It just heard us talking and charged us". He makes no attempt to pursue the large animal, however. Instead he just gathers up his darts. "I suppose my big mouth did kind of spook it", he finally concedes. "Sorry".

Amun
"Friends caught the beast unaware. If group gives chase that will not be the case. And Amun fear the beast will be very dangerous when injuried. Amun says let it go."
She brushes dirt off her clothes and grins in pain as she does so, with probably one or several bones in her ribcage partly cracked.
