Hmm, a peephole 6 feet up. Do giants live here?

Richard, You seems to have a great sense of smell. Can you sense from where her sense is coming?
Richard replies to Eaton:

"Ah well that's about my humble height, sir, so let me take a look!"

He starts moving towards the room while adding "Uh...if I can sense her sense ? Well...some things are private between lovers. Even between ex-lovers", then steps into the room where Korin, upon Tiny's suggestion has begun inspecting the wash stand.

Korin finds no doors or secret passages inside the small hand basin, nor any traps, but a secret compartment, in which lie hidden:

- 1 e.p.
- 70 g.p.
- a rusty item

all while Richard pushed past Korin & Tiny to peer through the possible peep hole.

Korin shares the findings with tiny and tries to figure out what the rusty item is or was.

Thorelf

"I cannot wrap my head around this place. Is it some kind of underground fortress? Richard, do you remember what they are doing here? It seems very...elaborate for a place to keep slaves."

He checks the bunk while the others check the rest of the room.

Tiny realises that Richard is standing in front of the peephole and looking into it, which right now stops Tiny from doing so.

The rusty item is an oval piece of iron with a jagged edge. Korin cannot for his life determine what possible use it may have (had).

Faced away from Thorelf, Richard starts replying to his question: "Fortress ? Yes, some parts did look a bit like that. But, the gang didn't....hang on!! What's that? It's..." - he presses his face even closer to the door.

...he is cut off mid-sentence. His legs buckle under him and he falls backwards with a <whoomp>, almost dragging Korin and Tiny with him in his fall. He lies, immobilized, on the floor between them.

Korin grumbling moves aside more and puts the rusty item away for now. He then kicks lightly at Richard's side with his boot. "Get up lad. What in tha soddin hell is wrong with ya?"

Eaton

Don’t look into the hole, lads. It is dangerous.

Starts to examine Richard to see what can be done to get him back into the game.

Thorelf moves close to the wall in which the door with the peephole is set and presses his back against it - ready to strike anyone that would enter in the back.

Richard

is comatose. Out of it. On a meeting with Morpheus. He remains knocked out on the floor between the other four who are squeezed up by the door on the 'eastern' wall of this small compartment. If the bunk hadn't reeked so much of various biological residues, it could be quite cosy in here.

It is to the right of the peephole door that Thorelf can take cover - as the door is on the left (or 'northernmost') part of the 'eastern' wall. Nothing special happens as he steels himself - no sound is heard on the other side - the door does not rattle.

Korin drags Richard's body out of the way.

Thorelf avoids the peephole and instead checks the door for traps, and if none are found, he checks to see if it's locked.

asks Korin: "Uh...is he dead?"
Korin shrugs his shoulders "Not sure Tiny." the dwarf looks down to see if he can tell if Richard is breathing. (if so) "Well looks like he's breathin so I guess he's just knocked out." (if not) "Might be lad he ain't breathin but I ain't no healer neither."

Thorelf

safely determines that the peephole door is not trapped. It also seems open.

Korin

discovers that Richard is, indeed breathing - but heavily and slowly. Almost....snoozing.

Eaton checks what can be done to get him back on his feet, while Tiny npc continues his questioning: "Eh...so is he alive ?"

While everyone is getting their bearings, there is a sudden sound, from behind the 'north' wall. There is movement, stuff in the next room is being kicked about, a door is heard being opened, someone tumbles out in the big room behind you all where a chair gets knocked over, and skipping steps seem to leave the area. Then silence.

Korin slaps his hand on his face and slides his hand down to his beard face getting a little reddish "Tiny....he's breathin. Dead folk don't breathe."

Thorelf moves back to the door to the "big room" behind us and tries to carefully put his head out just enough to check what entered the room/kicked the chair. While his doing this, signaling to Tiny and Korin to be ready because "there's someone in there"...

When peering out of the small 'peephole' room back into the 'table with chairs' room,

Thorelf

discovers that to the right, the door next to his ('north' of him) has been flung open by someone/-thing that then ran out into the 'table with chairs' room, knocked over a chair, and then....who knows ? Thorelf sees noone remaining in the 'table' room who might have done this.

Meanwhile,

Richard

suddenly comes to. He spits and snorts, grabs hold of Korin's beard and exclaims, eyes open wide while pointing wildly at the peephole door: "It was her! I tell you...her! I saw her! Behind the door! Our eyes met again....oh why, why did it have to end so badly..."

Tiny npc

"Hey, he's alive!"
