Chapter Nine: Year 300, 6th Day

Indrani and Tiberius
The action appears to be two floors up.

Indrani uses the conference room's terminal to access the ship's computer.

Seeing Arnwolf ignore her encouragement to reach safety and get hit by the same Elephant Gun that hit her she rolls her eyes and exclaims:

Orokana yūsha.

Putting down the Hacker Deck she activates her magnetic grapple, brings up her SMG and dashes out of the bay to fetch him, commenting Yabai!

Reaching Arnwolf she scans for targets, loosing off the remainder of her magazine at any enemy she sees before dragging Arnwolf into the pod bay.

Get inside, the ship is moving!

The heavy rifle takes time to bring back on target, hopefully long enough to get Arnwolf into cover.

Getting more gung ho. He fires at the most obvious target, the grav vehicle.

is this an enclosed or open top vehicle. Can I see folk inside. Are they lining up to the airlock to board the ship?

He reluctantly goes inside the ship if boarding the grav is not possible.

Reven Stiilpahth maneuvers the Queen to port trying to knock the air raft. Then he checks to see if all hatches are closed before heading toward open space, if there's enough room at that point to squeeze through and out. probably multiple turns in that

Pranit
Pranit is donning armour as fast as he can

Maggie
Climbing out of the bunk, Maggie sprints from Reven's cabin to Pranit's, and retrieves Pranit's cutlass - before returning to her strapped-in position in Reven's Cabin. The whole ship is rotating and bouncing as she does so - making the task trickier than it might otherwise be.

Noor

Assana and Ulrika
The running commentary continues as the boarding party check out the bridge. The pilot's station appears to have been shot-up - but this then precipitated an argument between the attackers. Then they shot out the Cameras! Ulrika is reported to be seeing "Something's going on over by the control tower"

Zid and Miya
The partial vacc suit from Reven's room is on Miya - missing gloves and an air-supply. She takes some form of pill before closing the faceplate.

Zid is just zipping up the balloon affair, leaving handcuffs and stunner outside.

Indrani
Indrani heads into the Library and brings up the ships cameras. Inside she can see Reven in Engineering; a body in the shaft outside. The rest of the top lift is definitely now black from camera damage as is the bridge (although there is still a view from above and behind the Captains chair showing no-one and displaying the holes in the pilot's seat in all their glory). The bottom lift shaft has a claymore with proximity fuse sitting on the lift unit roof (The lift unit is on the hanger deck)
The crew deck is in some confusion. Pranit's room has one the two drivers sitting on the bunk, and Pranit struggling into armour. The other driver is in the fresher and out of sight of the camera
Noor and Maggie's room is full with Assana, Ulrkia, Miya and Zid inside and Noor by the door. Reven's room has (at the end of the period) Maggie in it strapped in against turbulence. The other rooms are empty. And on the passenger deck she can see herself and Tiberius. On the vehicle deck, the camera is out.

Externally, one of the forward looking camera's is out (the one mounted over the Galley) and the others can only catch glimpses of the air-raft as it hovers trying to do something to the crew airlock door. n.b. Both the door camera and that inside the crew airlock are now out of commission.

Tiberius
Tiberius keeps an eye on the barricade. He can hear occasional movement in the lift-shaft from above him and some scraping sounds from the vehicle hanger below each time the ship lurches into freefall.

Nālani & Arnwulf
Arnwulf makes his way across the now jerking hull, clambers out over the drop between the two halves of the cargo hold and into the drop-pod launch tube...where Nālani waits. By the time he gets there, his suit is complaining about lack of air-pressure and his lungs are too! Struggling to fend off unconsciousness, he looks for a slap-patch and struggles to apply it even as Nālani calls for Assana to shut the pod's outer door and re-pressurise.

The door closes and the air rapidly fills the tube.

Reven
Reven slides the Queen to port, rotating it as he does so; trying to bump the grav vehicle - but it is much smaller, and more nimble and can no longer be seen from the nose camera and is in a bit of a blind-spot. However, the Queen is now in the best position to bull her way through the hanger doors in their closed state! If you are going to go through the doors next round, please make another Pilot roll

She switches to Pranit's channel. "Pranit, Tibbs and I are holed up in the passenger area. We can't get out, the lift shafts are mined."

Indrani then switches to the All Hands channel. "Everyone, hang on. We're forcing the bay doors open, so the ride may be rough. The lift shafts are mined, so stay out of the lifts."

She is braced for whatever happens next. She does wonder why she is here.

Indrani keys her comm on Reven's channel, adding the Engineering channel, just in case. "Reven, take us out through the doors. We will deal with the air raft once we're outside."

Reven Stiilpahth "Aye, aye, Captain. Here we go." Reven sets course for the doors.

Out of the firing line for a moment, he patches himself and his suit.

We cannot stay in here long, there are armed men heading for the bridge. We must join the others, pass on your weapon and resume the fight. I have a second gun too, I can arm another.

Combat turns 25 - Through the hanger door
Pranit
Pranit is donning armour as fast as he can when the ship lurches. Not much as the compensators wind up in synch.

Maggie
Maggie is still strapping in as the thrust builds.

Assana and Ulrika
Ulrika's drone can make out what looks to be three grav-vehicles passing the control tower and heading in your direction. Steadying it she seeks a better view - but is disappointed when the drone suddenly goes off air.
Assana reports - OK - I can see nothing on decks 1, 4 and 5 except one camera over the captains desk - and there's nothing in sight of that. Both airlock cameras are out and the external camera shows the air-raft bobbing about trying to keep up. Someone may have jumped into the crew airlock. Oh yes - the Cargo Bay door is now closed

Zid and Miya
Miya comes up behind Noor - Where do you want me?

Zid is finally ready, clutching his handcuffs and stunner and looking ready to kick ass!

Indrani
The slight flicker of the inertial dampers warns Indrani to switch back to the forward cameras. Reven seems to be aiming so that the starboard-side door misses the turret, which means that he crashes into the port-side door fairly firmly, almost lifting it right off it's tracks, but tipping it where it's caught at one corner. The nose camera has gone blank. The bay wall and bay airlock is only a few centimetres from the ventral edge of the passenger deck, but so far he's managed not to demolish any of that kit. The whole manoeuvre looks completely mad and the kind of flying that would get any pilot struck off the register!

Tiberius
The barricade doesn't move as the ship starts accelerating, but it jumps and settles at the "Crash" as the queen hits the doors.

Nālani & Arnwulf
Arnwulf starts to look how to patch his suit and give himself first aid. Two vacc-suits, a rifle and an SMG in a space the size of a shower cubicle is a bit tight - particularly when one of the suit occupants is trying to undo the suit (Hard Vacc Suit Roll please - you can make it easier if Nālani exits the space)

The pod bay has no inertial compensators, so the acceleration is immediately noticable - as is the crash as the Queen hits the bay door. It is echoed by the sound of the air-raft jumping in the adjacent hanger and the cargo jumping on the deck below.

Reven
Up, Up, and Away! 25% power and Crash into the starboard door...The forward camera is instantly wiped out and the gyro wobbles slightly - but an excellent hit, square on missing the bay infrastructure by millimetres.

Indrani swears softly as she remembers something. "Reven, try to scan ahead of us. We don't want to ram anyone else if we can help it." She uses the remaining external cameras to scan for other ships - or parts of the station that might be in their path.

She keys up again. "Reven, start us spinning along our flight axis. Take us up to sixty degrees per second. Don't do this next part yet, but I'm planning to dump the compensators to pin everyone in place. You might want to strap in."

Just for reference: 60 deg/sec = 3,600 deg/min- or 10 rpm.

Nālani opens the hatch into the hangar to give Arnwolf room to reach his injuries and stands ready to help him.

We need to team up with the others, take coordinated action. We two cannot fight all of these Oni on our own. Well, we can, but I would prefer to win.

OOC: if she can easily treat her own arm without removing too much of the hardsuit she will do so.

If Indrani's warning of impending g-force is audible she will take refuge in the other podbay.

"At least a half dozen," Indrani replies. "The lift shafts are mined with anti-personnel ordinance, so we can't get to you. When we get though the doors, check for collision risks, and then start spinning us up."
