Emile is attempting a break the next turn. No idea where to go from there.

Could we get a link to the map of the station? I've forgotten where to look for it....

Whew! After 83 RL days stuck in the Hotel California, the action has begun!

The marshals from the badlands follow the way of Mr. Rogers. They like to take their time and do it well. ::Taavi blows smoke from his pistol or tablet's barrel::

That locker space looks pretty large on the map. We watched them put our weapons in there--was it a space large enough to stand in?

While the fascade blended with the molded plasted of the walls, the easiest way to describe this is that it was a series of large, side-by-side gym lockers.
You assume the interior space is therefore partitioned into lots of similar narrow compartments. It was big enough that you put several longarms and a drone in without difficulty, but would only fit a human about as well as the average high school locker would.
Seeing where this is going, let's say:
You can phase and enter the space, but you need to become solid before acting, and if you overlap physical material it bumps you but you take damage. Squeezing yourself into a gym locker insubstantially and hoping to not overlap is possible but difficult. Once shoved in a locker, you are limited in your movement. After that, what you pick up and carry leaves with you. So let's say...
It's not far, so only 1 round to phase in. (1 strain)
You need a Reflex Save to not overlap anything when you solidify.
If you fail, you bump into the locker-space and take 1d6 damage. (Thin panels not quite as harsh as an actual wall.)
What you can pick up is then limited by your Readied slots.
It's another strain to leave.

Sounds good--when we get that far that's my plan, then. If I have any control over it, if I fail the save I'd prefer to be bumped in the direction I'm headed (inside the Welcome Center rather than back out into the hall).

"Báleygr, could you hack those door panels? If we can trap those guards in there, that's two less men we'll have to kill."
i think it's more important / advantageous for Báleygr Gangleri to get the armed drone out of the welcome center and into the action

That's fine, but to be clear, Shadrach will
not on that information, as he does not read the OOC thread. If that information is not communicated to him he will act accordingly.

Yes, two elevators, on the northeast and southeast corners (opposite you at the west door).
cybersavant wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 6:22 amand there are 3 armed guards there now?
Yes.
cybersavant wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 6:22 amis there a computer terminal in there?
Yes, the circular central desk has several terminals.
cybersavant wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 6:22 amhow heavy is the drone?
It is Encumbrance 2, so about the same as a combat rifle.

Balygyr:
Okay, a few things about mechanics.
- They can't perceive you, so you can make an Execution Attack.
- If you use your biogun (a ranged weapon) then you need an attack roll (and miss) and also have penalties for being up close.
- If you use some kind of melee weapon (real or improvised but not just bare-handed) then you automatically hit and I roll a save for the guard. (I need to know if you want it lethal or subdual.)
- Assuming the appearance of one of the guards requires their DNA. (I will allow touch to suffice.) If you use your biogun, then you haven't touched anyone. If you use a melee attack, you can touch him and assume HIS appearance. If you are assuming the appearance of a different guard, I need to know how you meet this requirement.
- Changing appearance with a touch, shooting, or performing an Execution Attack are all main actions and any of them will end Taavi's effect. So I need a sequence of rounds that accounts for that.
I also really want a description of what your biogun looks like in use, as is the first time you're introducing it.
figured thia would take more than one action; i picture the biogun as a tubelike structure that exits from the top of his hand, i figured i needed a skin sample, that's why i went up close from behind, so as the guard fell [ but i missed i think, so not work anyway ] and i guess the guards don't have helmets either - i was hoping for a general, vague resemblance; i don't think
Báleygr Gangleri has anything he can use as melee, and he doesn't have any combat skills anyways; was just hoping to give him an appearance that made his look like he belonged so he could get to the terminal; oh well - guess it's now 3:1

I gave all the information so you can restructure your post. I am fine with you doing so. It is hard to adjudicate as written.

Taavi had a rifle (non-combat rifle) in the locker. Was it retrieved, and if so, can he equip it? He also had a semi-auto pistol.

Taavi got his pistol back but the rifle is still in the locker.

However, Shadrach does have a combat rifle slung over his back; he offered it to Balegyr but Bal did not take it. It's Taavi's if he wants it.

It's also worth noting that with no Shoot skill at all, Balegyr takes a -2 to hit with ranged weapons.

Thanks, Taavi would like to borrow the combat rifle.
