Tiglath, when Frank went to the guards area to speak them at the start of the pirates situation, which route did he go?
Through the southern "park" (rather than the northern area with the big pool).
If it helps matters imagine their accommodation as a mirror of the layout of yours (with the pool/park as the line of symmetry).

Ah, so both doors lead to the guards area, but the southern most one is where the pirates were kept.
Thanks.

The Bindoner wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:14 am Those fighters - open Sword Worlds intervention? Pretty bold if it is. Do we have recordings?
Where's Ms Vitt? She's our ID'd Swordie, probably good to have her netted-in. Or down.
Further to the above...
It
is a
very bold move!
The sort of thing that would involve strategic and logistical commitment way up the food chain...
Alas, as to recordings, I believe the only PC liable to record images was (quite reasonably) seeking cover during the "fly over".
As to "ID'd Swordies" there's, of course, more than just the one - although that could easily be coincidence...

What was I supposed to do? Wave?
Of course I was taking cover. Those things have proper guns!
If one of them hit me it'd be like pouring water on the "Wicked Witch of the West".

Yes.
Behind the deadlocked red door is where Frank understands the pirates were locked up. This area would likely also have two other doors into the corridor north of it.
Imagine it would be like walking east into your accommodation from the park and having an improvised pirate jail on your right hand side instead of your hangar bay.
My
hope is that this is making sense / adding clarity?

Taking cover does indicate a certain lack of trust in onrushing attack craft...

The "don't antagonise them" statement didn't reassure

Okay, so the plan for the park, which could have people dangers or traps, including Erica easts robot. They've had time to prepare and Freya saw someone in there.
So, have Prerna's recon team move it from the northern entrance for an initial recon, if no immediate issues then have a similar small team with Frank move forward from the southernmost door. The rest can cover us and be ready to move forward if it's safe

Makes sense for Jess to control the support element, since she isn't too mobile ( and oughtn't get shot again).
Finally able to post! Most of the day every attempt to post, PM or access the UCP got a page saying:
Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.
I could see other people posting, so it felt kind of personal

That's a good point, we don't want Jess hit again.
How about Frank takes Dog and Charlie, leaving Jess Harry, King & Mike?
Unless Kit comes along instead of Charlie, although he might prefer to stay back, we do need him to gain access for us
I've never had problems like that, is it worth posting in the support thread?

How many squares can a grenade be thrown?
Re: "Endgame: OOC Planning Discussion"

by Tiglath
Since we're still in AHL/Snapshot rules territory... up to ten squares. The grenade then it goes off in that square and attempts to wound adjacent folk. Probably a bit tame/limited in effect but see the mechanic below which helps PCs no end.
Note that against armoured targets you won't achieve anywhere near the "utter carnage" results obtained vs. unarmoured folk. BUT grenades defeat cloth armour whereas DS rounds just equal it...
Roll under your Dex to hit seems a better mechanic than a "To Hit" task without a specific skill so we'll go with that.
Although I'm sure we can all agree that "scattered" results for grenades that miss are funny. Well, I like them...
NB Snapshots: a reminder for all and tactical option for gurusql (if you haven't played Snapshot / AHL).
Instead of taking a regular shot a player may elect to fire twice in a round with each shot being at a -2 penalty to hit. NB With skills, Dex and autofire bonuses to hit this makes PCs
dangerous.
And as a GM aid: KISS movement - six squares.

I'm guessing that with the armour the stun grenades are much less effective?

They haven't got helmets so the concussive effect will be about the same but (like HE) you'll still most likely just take out one target.

Next question :
Ram Grenades: do we need to worry about breaking the windows here
edit: HEAP genades
Also wondering how many squares the grenade launcher will go

Do the patio doors slide, push out our way or pull into the room?

And the combination of Falx and ACR must be hard to handle. Do they have 3 hands? Scabbards? Swords stuffed through their belts?
If they are unused to scabbarded swords, they are going to have some nasty health and safety issues and/or drawing issues.
