Right. A portion of one minotaur statue is here. We didn't count the number of pieces, though. Andron's pack is heavy enough for one disc. Need 15lbs weight.

Running out of options, Andron starts sprinkling the last of his foodstuffs around the floor so his glutenous friends will actually need to move around a little to get at it, biding the priest a few more moments to think.

Tlachtga starts placing the larger pieces of the broken minotaur statue upon the 7 copper disks, in case they need to leave in a hurry once the food is gone and the inflicted start looking for other things to eat.

Gramble and Lerrick continue to snooze away while the air in the hallway starts to become a bit pungent.

I know you like this place, but I am not about to spend the rest of my days preforming for this pompous bastard. We are getting out of here, and I think I finally figured out how. The ring of glass obelisks have something to do with the mobility of this place, so through them, there must be a way out. I know the colored stone spheres are the keys, all I need to do is figure out how they function. There must be a way to use the spheres to activate the obelisks, since the ones I have investigated don’t seem to do anything yet. Once I can figure out their secrets, I am hoping we will be able to go anywhere we want. I know you want to concentrate on making more eggs and raising new babies, but you cant expect me to be happy about bringing more of our kind into existence while we are all being held here against our will. We must find a way out! We can discuss this further once I've returned.

I have used the magic scrolls to find three of them so far. They are a sight to behold, so tall and crystal clear. One is in the jungle near the black cliffs, a second deep in the swamp, and the third by the lake to the northwest. I promise you that I will figure out what they do and how they function. Once I do, we will be free again.

My love, I know you don't like wearing the contacts, but their use will be quintessential in making our eventual escape from this place. The wizard doesn't know about them, so it is imperative that we keep them secret for now. Please continue to wear them when you can, since they have no affect on us or our young. You must try to get accustomed to them so they can be used to their utmost effectiveness against our foes once the time comes.

It is important that you keep them wet when you are not wearing them. The case is filled with a salty solution of mannish extract and fairy tears, which should keep them crystal clear and usable forever, so take caution not to spill any of it. Since they will allow both you and I to turn our enemies to stone, I cant wait for you to put them to use.

Yeah, that's some pretty sucktastic rolling. I was hoping those mushrooms would get them stoned like they did to Cu ... unless they happened to make those saves vs. Poison?

I think that leaves one ration in the panniers and one Andron spread out? Not including any Alordan and Maag have left in their packs?

Yeah, this is my 6th roll, with a Save of 15 Maag should have nailed it by now. :? Oh well, at least it's not Save-or-Die :)

I'll keep the number of rations Maag has in his pack a secret, for a little dramatic tension :lol:

Got to admit though, it's getting tougher and tougher to string theses food idioms together coherently!

Rather than indulge in crawling around on the floor chasing his food, Maag just grabs the panniers and brings it to him. He upends the contents into his lap and keeps chewing down. Between mouthfuls he continues to pontificate.

Okay, I went back to tally the rations:
  • Andron gives 1 pannier ration each.
  • * Chime was rung
  • * All scarf down their pannier ration
  • Andron drops panniers with 1 day left inside.
  • Andron drops 1 ration from his pack.
  • * Andron casts sleep
  • Gramble and Lerrick drop 1 ration (sleep)
  • Tlachtga drops 6 rations from her pack.
  • Andron sprinkles 1 ration (his last).

Count of rations eaten up to this round:
  • Andron: 1
  • Tlachtga: 2
  • Gramble: 2
  • Lerrick: 2
  • Maag: 6
  • Alordan: 6

So, starting this round, at most there are 2 whole and 1 scattered ration left on the floor; if my math is right.

Andronichishche steps onto the lift and whispers quietly to Tlachtga, "I will wake Lerrick and guide her onto the lift. We should be able to restrain her, if necessary. Gramble will awaken soon after ..."

He then moves back into the tunnel and is momentarily stunned by the wafting of a pungent odor. Cursing yet another obvious effect of the chime, he wrinkles his nose up in response and kneels down to gently rouse Lerrick from her sleep.

Andron doesn't waste time in assessing her condition. At the first sign of consciousness he loops an arm over his shoulders and attempts to lift her by the waist and guide her onto the platform.

Maag stays put, now simply pulling the food laying around into his mouth, like some kind of hungry bear who just came out of hibernation. Alordan seems to be getting full, but he has room for one more tiny morsel.

Andronichishche and Tlachtga carefully wake up Lerrick, her bout of sleep apparently superseding her former desire to eat uncontrollably. She lets out a large burp before assuring the others that she is fine now.

Gramble's snoring is becoming distorted and weak, as if he too is about to awaken from his magically induced slumber.
