shaidar wrote:so silvestri's movement rate is such that can only move 1 hex per round. If he moved that, would he just get #6 in his 20' pyrokinesis range?
Silvestri's Base Speed is 15 (feet), so he can move 1.5 hexes per round.
So, yes. If he moves then #6 will be within pyro range.

This is a friendly reminder to be mindful of your character's hit points.

so, let's day Silvestri successfully dominates a creature and gives it an order, does the creature have to stay within the 20' range?

Domination doesn't have a range; only a duration of 1 round/character level.
He must touch the target (successful hit roll) and the creature gets a WIL save against the Mutation Roll.

sorry, I thought you'd decided that it had the standard 10' per level range, because of the higher rolls have multiple targets

I don't recall that. Can you show me where this was discussed?

OK, lets stay with 10'/level for "activation". For the duration, they may move up to their maximum.
Thanks for finding this.

no worries. I thought I'd imagined it when I searched for 'domination' and found nothing, so went through OOC II, I knew it occurred around the dreadtooth time.

wow, assuming we survive this, Silvestri's healing is going to be stretched thin for many days, he's git 2 heals left today.
we might want to consider finding somewhere safe to hole up and rest for a few days.

does silvestri need to continue to focus on the domination power, or can he attack or use other powers?

I'll judge no, he doesn't have to keep focus. The round spend
dominating the target(s) will is the action. The power's duration is a factor of the Psionist's level and power.

cool. from the map it looks like silvestri is standing on the pod. which enemies does he have line of sight of? it's just I'm sure of his elevation and how much denslow is blocking.

Assuming that Denslow takes advantage of a full move for Round 8 (Which I highly recommend!), Silvestri will have a clear shot on #3 & #5.

thanks, I think I'll hold off my round 9 actions too, until 8 is complete.

Yrkoon wrote:Out of character: I may have been making a mistake regarding my initiative over the last few rounds. I've been using my +2 Agility adjustment plus my CPU Birthsign of +1 for a total of +3 to initiative. Looking more carefully at my character sheet, I see the section where it says "Combat Basics - Initiative +3". Does that mean Farmanus is +3 or +4 to initiative? I mean, do I add my lucky roll to that +3, or has it already been included? Friendly reminder: I am now INT 6.
I added the agility and birthsign to obtain the +3 on the character sheet.

I'm putting together Silvestri's actions and I've rolled 19 for the empathy power. I was thinking of spending luck to get it up to higher levels and I have a few questions:
1. With results of 24 and above do the target creatures need to understand the language of the psionicist?
2. with higher results that affect all sentients in a radius then line of sight is not an issue?
3. I assume with the higher powers that affect creatures in a radius he can choose those that are affected, i.e. the commands he gives don't have to affect them all?
4. Also, am I able to reduce my luck to 0?
I'm trying to work out if I pushed the result up to 30 then could I command all the 'morlocks' to leave but not affect allies. I'm guessing ordering a fight to the death will be pushing it a bit
Thanks

No
2. with higher results that affect all sentients in a radius then line of sight is not an issue?
Correct. It’s an area of effect power.

I’ve been allowing it so, yes.

You would have to convince some that they must protect you, their messianic leader. Those could attack the others. You could then convince the others to stand their ground against your protectors and fight to the death. You cannot command them to commit suicide.
