Grats, onlyme! You are no longer a novice. You may remove your silly Padawan rat tail braid. Wear your posts with pride!

Still... you have much to learn from the Master, only-san. Reflect on these great words of Confucius for two days:

"He who thinks only of number one must remember this number is next to nothing."

I wouldnt go that far. Looking back, most of my posts have been mindless banter, like this one... I still dont know how to play this game.

Nice! :D

Foxmoor is a couple hundred posts away from 2,000 (and 200xp), so keep it up. You'll be a Ranger Lord before you know it.

A couple quick notes:
1) I have a very busy day today. I know there are some important, pending questions (e.g. village details) and I hope to be able to respond later this afternoon. I'm also trying to draw a map of the village in Notepad, like I have my other maps. It's a pain in the arse, and the end results are not great, but any form of visuals have to be better than none at all, right?
2) I will also be mostly unavailable tomorrow, Friday. I can probably hop online for a quick update or two in the morning, and again at night, but have a solid six or seven hour window during the afternoon where I will be completely unavailable (all times CST).

No worries Dave.
Separately for the party - what is everyones' thoughts on the situation in the village? Clearly somethings up - I see it as fear/something having a hold over them as per my post but interested in your take too?

I'm not really... understanding... any of this. What does "com-plete-ly-un-a-vail-a-ble" mean?

Yeah, I agree. I want to find out the scope of the problem now. Is it just the people in the inn? Is it everyone in the town? Just certain people? Is it "growing" and taking over more people?

I was thinking that I wish Yarl, my friendly evil half orc character, was in this game so that he could have a long talk with the locals.

By long talk I mean that he would start bashing in all their heads.

I think he means that there may be 5 or 10 minutes where he is not officially on line.

Agree---My thoughts are to go door to door to see if anyone talks, or at least wavers somewhat. Maybe in pairs. Anything more would intimidate them...

I was thinking somewhat similar thoughts. One of the reasons I did the honorable (and good) glove slapping was to free me to respond to any aggression it may have invoked. Had he been the archived female elf assassin from another game, it would have been a much different strategy.

I think there is something the villagers are afraid of and are trying to keep us from finding becuase it might turn on them. I don't hink whatever it is would want us just to leave town, I think it would want us dead hence the assassination attempt by the cook.

I still like the idea of getitng alone and unnoticed with gustov and grilling him. he seems to want us to find out something but is in fear.

I know, right?

I have a 3+ hour long job interview scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, with an 1.5 hour train ride each way. I will be offline from ~9:30am tomorrow morning until after my girls go to bed (~7:00pm). I will try to sneak in an update or two before heading out, and will certainly check in on the game tomorrow night, but, yeah, will pretty much be "com-plete-ly-un-a-vail-a-ble" all afternoon.

Thanks, guys. It's an important interview so I hope to do well. The one downside to getting this new job would be the likely reduction in my personal daytime availability.

Still wish me luck? ;)
