I just love how there's a demon running around town, everyone knows it and it's all business as usual.

"Oh hi there, possessed demon guy. Hate you, but I respect you for
who you are. Were. Will be. Whatever!"

I think Vaul is actually in Canada somewhere.

I actually wonder if the hobgoblin Bertram's group brought back ever mentioned anything about the party bringing a demon back with them, and if the Archduke would care if it did.

"Demon, huh? Wouldn't be the worst-mannered of the people here. Did you ever meet this creature that calls itself 'The Wendell,' or the half-ogre named 'Lug?'"

Geez. A guy survives one capture by orcs serving some whatever-it-is master then gets rescued by a grief-crazed king of a dead dwarf clan, and suddenly he's all cranky.

He's not Sneezy, Bashful, Dopey, Sleepy, Happy, or good with medicine.

He's Grumpy.

In D&D, almost all dwarves are Grumpy.

I don't see Bromric, Ulf, or Dorvar as any of the other Seven Dwarves.

I just realized something wacky: Lug and everyone else in his current expedition were still in Vaul when Bertram's expedition returned. Which means Bertram probably would have tried to go with him on the rescue mission.

We'll just have to pretend they never crossed paths or something.

I haven't really followed the expeditions my character isn't in, so it's fun to read these exchanges in town.

I'm impressed with how many tale-worthy adventures our characters have had in their relatively young adventuring lives.
