You're still in the castle grounds. Between you and anything that can be called a chasm is a 90' high wall. The only passage through that wall that you've been able to find is the entrance tunnel in which you now stand. The drawbridge that would otherwise span the chasm at the end of that tunnel is raised, and a heavy wooden portcullis is down. Both block your way out of the castle grounds to the chasm.

As I said I'll allow Bragar to try and burn the slime off if that fails I have no other options but kill myself before i have to suffer through the pain of it killing me.

Castran will continue with his retrieval plan getting his glowing axe back. He won't shift into his own form for fear of the potion ending.

Castran shifts into a larger bird. He figures a giant eagle should be large enough to pick up an axe.
Fendt starts throwing his weapons and what gear is not already covered in slime off to the side. Bragar lights a torch and tries to burn the slime off of Fendt. The tactic seems to be effective: the slime turns black and falls away from Fendt where Bragar burns it. Unfortunately, so does Fendt's skin, since the torch burns him as well
(-5 HP). In Fendt's weakened condition, burning off the rest of the slime might kill him. But something must be done quickly. At the rate the slime is insinuating itself into Fendt's body, he may have only a minute left before he is turned completely into slime.

Hearing the commotion (and possible screams?) the eagle will fly invisibly, with the hovering axe of glowing, towards the gatehouse and drop the glowing weapon at the tunnel entrance.

Fendt "Burn it off, or cut it off me!" the half-elf screams clearly knowing his time is at an end a last ditch effort he tries to cast continual light on his clothing. A last ditch effort praying it hates light.

Bragar will cast cure disease upon the green slime.

Cure disease has a casting time of 1 turn. Fendt would probably be long dead by the time Dram could complete the spell. Just FYI.

Castran flies toward the castle entrance, where Bragar is trying to burn off the green slime before it entirely consumes Fendt. The cleric has burned off half of the slime, but the slime has almost finished its job on Fendt. If Bragar can burn off the rest of the slime, he'll also knock Fendt unconscious but might still bring him back to health with a spell or two. If he cannot burn off the rest of the slime this minute, Fendt will be irretrievably converted into slime himself.
Let's pull back the curtains on the mechanics just a bit. The slime has 5 HP left. Fendt has 2. The slime will finish off Fendt this round if it gets its "attack." So if the slime is not destroyed this round, Fendt's a goner. Fortunately, the party won initiative.
Dram, please roll a 1d6 for damage. If it's a 5 or 6, Bragar kills the slime before it consumes Fendt. Fendt would be at -3 or -4 HP—in dire need of aid, but alive.. If the roll is 4 or less, Fendt is slime.
Good luck.

Bragar burns off some more of the slime. Fendt faints from the pain. Unfortunately, the efforts are for naught as Fendt is consumed by the remaining slime. You watch in horror as Fendt's unconscious body softens and sinks into a puddle of slime with a soft "glop" sound.
Only Bragar and Castran remain. Each is still invisible. Castran is in bird form. Will they find a way to escape this hellish place?

Grey I think The slime won the initiative even though Dram's roll would have saved you is my guess.

Castran will look to see if there is any of the elf's equipment left.
He will shift into the form of a sylph and recover the axe and then speak to Bragar. Burn the slime comletely Bragar, and then let us leave this castle temporarily. I will fly us over the gates and chasm of the castle and then we can make a dash for the village"

Bragar- I want to leave this castle and never to return. Unless there is a army at my back.

Castran shifts into the form of a Sylph and recovers his axe. He looks to see if any of Fendt's equipment is left. Fendt's pack lies against the wall of the entrance tunnel where he threw it, along with the mace (+3) you found in Strahd's treasure room. There's also his (normal) bow, 20 arrows, a bo stick, and Fendt's own mace (+1).

BTW, as a reminder (or perhaps as new info, since both surviving characters are new-ish): The path to Ravenloft from Barovia was long, but the castle is about 2000' NW and 1500' above the town. Something to think about when you plan your way out of the castle.
