Tratiln, quickly realizing that he won't be able to keep up with the gnolls, will attempt one last leap to get into range and try to fire off his rainbow attack spell at the fleeing gnolls and if failing to close the distance, will continue chasing.

Thordin the dwarf, seeing the gnolls flee, will re-mount and take his pony, Surrounded by Elves (or Jake, not sure which) and charge ahead of the gnolls. He will get inbetween them and the castle (their desired location), dismount and wait for them with both swords out.
Main hand attack +7, 1d12+3 damage, -2 ac vs one foe, 1 chance to deflect per round. Off-hand, -1 to hit, 1d8 damage.

Bregalad the elf
Bregalad sees the others trying to catch the gnolls from the behind, and will do his best to slow the beasts down. He will do the same as Thordin: ride ahead of gnolls, get between them and the castle, dismount, and then meet them with his spear and shield.

Round Four
Lanny and Saul remount and race towards the camp as quickly as possible, making it to the rear of the party but unable to do more than slide off their horses' backs. Semele looses a sling stone that flies wide of its mark, as does Drudsa's. Rhys dismounts and fires an arrow that embeds itself in the calf of one of the fleeing gnolls; moments later Marodin rides up behind the same gnoll and splits its skull open with a well-placed swing from his warhammer. Tratiln is able to act in the split second before the gnolls lope out of range. He chants arcane syllables and weaves his hands before him. To all those watching the contrast between air and land seems to intensify for a moment, to the point where it is almost possible to see the individual rays of light illuminating the dust hanging above the ground. A pulse like a heartbeat and the sun's rays erupt in a coruscating prism of light that surrounds the fleeing gnolls. Two collapse to the ground, insensate, while the other two turn as Thordin, Bregalad and Innana thunder forward on their mounts to cut of the creature's avenue of escape.
The three adventurers leap to the ground. Both surviving gnolls bear their teeth, and, with egress blocked, leap to the attack! Bregalad is able to dodge the blow directed at him while Innana is not so lucky; she takes a macehead to the ribs with crushing force. "Yip yip!" cries one of the gnolls. The other one begins to wheeze the laughter of strangled man.
Well, bugger. My computer crashed just before I was finishing everything up, and I lost all my rolls and stuff. I've recreated it as best I could. So, seeing as the gnoll's escape route is now cut off I rolled another morale check. Failure meant they were going to surrender to the party, success that they would stand and fight like cornered rats. I rolled a 3 for a success. I have Bregalad, Innana and Thordin on the ground, Lanny and Saul having just arrived.
Can I have actions for Round Five, please? Drudsa, Lanny, Rhys, Saul and Semele are all about 30' away. Bregalad, Innana, Thordin and Tratiln are all within melee range.

Rhys the Traveler
Rhys quickly moves to close into combat with the remaining gnolls, dropping his bow and drawing his sword along the way. Once he is able to, he will engage the gnoll that hit Innana.
Rhys' movement rate is 45'/round. Any way he can close the distance and attack? If not, then he'll be there for Round 6...

Innana the fighter
Innana leans into Bliss as he gallops full speed ahead of the gnolls to block them off from the castle. In a cloud of dust from the galloping horses, Innana dismounts her horse, and reaches around for her sword and shield. Innana hears a thundering crash, and just like the thunder that follows the lightning, Innana feels a crushing pain in her stomach after she hears the blow. The world looses color as Innana gasps for a breath that she can not hold. Pain rips through her body, and she automatically curls over.
Innana hears the laughing gnolls as she fights to maintain an upright position. Anger slowly replaces the pain, and Innana tests her body to see if she can stand.

Bregalad the elf
It pains Bregalad to see the warrioress struck down! He intends to give the brutes an answer in kind!
He strikes out at the nearest gnoll, with his spear and shield in hand!

Tratiln, with a slight smirk on his face, gathers up his sword once again and will strike at the closest gnoll, "Never thought a rainbow would be so effective!" Tratiln remarks as he swings his sword.
Masterwork sword, 1d20+4 vs. armored opponents, 1d12 damage, -1 vs. 2 AC

Innana the fighter
Innana reaches for her sword as the last of the dust settles, presenting the image of a giant rising above the clouds. She wipes a drop of blood off her mouth, and faces the gnolls, drawing her sword at the same time. "Here doggie doggie doggie....." Innana clicks her tongue a couple of times, and glares at the gnolls, "I have a little something for you to eat."
Innana charges the gnolls with sword in one hand and a net in the other. Innana throws the net, and then stabs at them with her blade.
Net (Basic/Primary-hand): 1d20+1, Entangle (no damage), Range 10/20/30
Sword (Non-proficient/Off-hand): 1d20-3, 1d4
Notes on use of Net:
Page 59 of rule book... Upon successful hit, the target must make a saving throw vs Death Ray or be Entangled. If Entangled, the target cannot attack, cast spells, or move.
Page 66 of rule book... The target gets a +1 bonus to its saving throw. If Entangled, the target also gets a saving throw each subsequent round, until it has freed itself.

Lanny the elf
Lanny hops down from his horse and quickly surveys the battlefield. With his friends now engaging the remaining gnolls in melee he holds his fire and instead moves towards the two gnolls who were knocked prone by Tratiln's colorful rainbow. He keeps his eyes and his bow carefully trained on them as he moves to 10' away from them and stops, ready to fire if any movement is detected.
"I have these two marked! Finish the others!"
Lanny looks to the hills and the horizon to make sure no more gnolls are approaching from a distance.
Lanny moves his 20'/round and will fire at the prone gnolls if any movement is detected.

Saul targets the nearest gnoll and let's loose his third arrow.

There are currently people engaged in melee combat with the gnolls. Has there been a ruling yet on ranged attacks into melee having a chance of hitting other party members? I would highly advise against firing ranged weapons into melee for that reason. Unless, of course, TK has already indicated there is no chance of hitting party members; then I say go for it.

I don't think it's the first time we've done it but fair enough to point out.

Round Six
Rhys steps forward, drawing his blade and swinging in one smooth motion. The blow likely would have been fatal, except the gnoll jerks aside at the last instant and the sword only draws a faint pink line across the creature's shoulder. The gnoll's movement, while it saves him from Rhys' blow, puts him directly in the path of Thordin's magic sword, which neatly severs its head from body. The dwarf's second stroke is off balance and misses the other gnoll.
Semele darts forward, chanting a spell and touching Innana's shoulder. The warrioress feels a surge of energy that erases some of her pain as she tosses her net at the remaining gnoll, who is quickly tangled in the weighted strands. Lanny stands, bow at the ready, but sees no approaching threats. The two other unconscious gnolls remain so, snoring loudly.
Innana regains 2 hp from CLW. So, the remaining gnoll is essentially subdued and at your mercy.

Lanny the elf
Lanny glances over at the netted gnoll as he continues to aim his arrow at the two unconscious gnolls. He speaks solemnly to his companions.
"Gnolls are the bane of the ranger and the solitary traveller... They use strength in numbers to prey upon the unsuspecting few. I have lost many kinsmen to their ambushes... Yet, like any warrior who is bested in combat, they too have a right to a swift death. Let's dispatch them quickly."
Lanny will wait until the netted gnoll is dispatched, then he will draw his sword and deliver a death blow to the unconscious gnolls.

Innana the fighter:
Intends to pierce the netted gnoll through the heart, and if nobody moves to slice the throats of the sleeping gnolls, she intends to do as Lanny said, make a quick and painless death for them.

Tratiln suggests, "We should check them for anything of valuable. I doubt they would have any truly useful, like maps or papers, but you never know."
