She's not in the expanded cargo bay. In fact, it is full of cargo containers. Somehow, the ones that had been present before seem to have multiplied.

"I am in the lab," she responded over the ship's overhead speakers. "The ship was moved and upgraded at the same time, shortly after you left. An intelligence in the base said that you had been selected and that it was upgrading the ship--and me--as an act of generosity. A gift from its master, Azoyusakuno, a name that I do not know.

"It removed the compulsion for me to obey my former master and transferred my allegiance to all of you. I already felt this way but now I have compulsions to obey and protect you written into myself. This is good. I was already loyal, but now you can be certain of that.

"It only gave me one command to execute that I cannot disobey. I agree that it is needed, but some of you will likely be angry. I apologize deeply and swear that there are no other hidden orders and that this is beneficial. Once I have implemented it, I can tell you what it told me. Again, I am sorry."

You went looking for Void and find him in his new "quarters" on the front right. His fresher is a high-tech litter box and the walls are covered in cat furniture, while the bed is a comfy one suitable for a cat though the size of a full bunk. Your belongings are in the room next to his. He is normal sized and friendly. He comes up for petting and brushes your legs multiple times.

The rooms are all significantly larger than they were with higher end trim and furnishings. Spacious and comfortable.
