I have the deep-seated urge to have Narramore put that 18/00 to work and drag a dwarf off a lizard, climb on in his place, and clear that trail. But...I want him to live a while yet.

Diplomacy it is, I reckon.
LOL! I love it!

Definitely don't do that.
Do it. Do it.

I woke up a bit earlier today and read that comment. I remembered what we mentioned a couple days ago about reading other quest threads and it prompted me to go and read that one, for both entertainment and keeping me up to date.
Be careful with those Stoneguts, folks!

So now the rafting crew has a big cat. You know... you could always toss the hobbit at it and get away...

Since there is no halfling,

maybe just toss the injured elf at it instead?

Even if there was a Halfling, its always a better choice to toss the Elf.

Do we want to snatch those two horns and make a break for it into the trees, or batter these dwarves off their lizards, or something else we haven't thought of yet?
I can't see much good come from going to their mine.
If the jungle is so thick that people can barely pass, giant lizards won't be thundering through tree trunks, either. That was a good point.

The wife and I just learned that a dear friend of ours died from surgical complications yesterday, so please forgive any mental blunders I make on here for a few days.
My brain is pretty much mush right now.
Will this year EVER end?

So sorry to hear that, OM. Take all the time you need. If you want to talk to someone, I'll listen.

Any ideas for our current predicament on the stoneguts' trail?
It seems like we could make a dash for it into the jungle and they'll blow those horns and summon help.
Make a dash down the trail and they'll blow the horns and run us down with the lizards. Or just pace us and sling axes till we're dead or boxed in between them and the "squad."
We can attack them and try to take the horns and run.
Attack them and try to take the horns, then kill them.
Keep going to the mines and trust that the the dice gods look after fools.
Anything else I've missed?
I also notice that OM said "at least two" of them have horns. So others might have one tucked somewhere we can't see. We might end up having to overwhelm them quickly and run before help arrives.
