Adelphocles
The centaur's first instinct is to find high ground and fire upon the enemy, but seeing ladders and stairs he has a single thought... Ah, hell no...
He calls to the Captain Let me through the gate! I am not afraid! Let us harry the siege engines! he holds his Lance high, ready to rally anyone that would follow him.

Montego nods his head at Cassius, in the direction of the arguing pair.
"You wanna sneak over there for a better listen while I kill whoever is firing that damn catapult?"
If there is a close stairs or ladder nearby, the ranger quickly moves in for a closer look at the enemy, firing off one shot with his bow if he is in range and has time to do so.
Bow shot with +1 arrows [1d20 +4] = 14+4 = 18 Damage [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7

Muldgarr nods to both of his companions. He sees the catapult with the fiery bundles and heads over to the top of the wall, while readying his bow. He takes two shots at the handlers, if he gets the chance.
Attack w/Comp Long Bow [1d20+1] = 6+1 = 7 Damage [1d8] = 6
Attack w/Comp Long Bow [1d20+1] = 18+1 = 19 Damage [1d8] = 1

Cassius
Cassius looks out towards the catapult with his hand gripped tightly around his bow, then nods and stows it. "Right. Happy hunting."
He hurries along the fort wall until he reaches the corner above the Captain and Jasmalus, then drops prone and tries to listen in.

Northern Furyondy, Fort Belvor, 585 CY, the month of Patchwall, Moonday 10, Midnight, light rain: Shouts in the Night
As a flaming ball of...erm...fire flies overhead every few minutes, you hurry to help the guards of the fort in any way you can. All of you take stairs to the top of the wall overlooking the Veng river and into the territory of Iuz. From their vantage point they can see at least two large catapults on the opposite side of the river...at least 400 yards away.
It's too dark and too far to make out actual targets, except to see pinpoints of light grow into large flaming balls of...fire as they soar toward the walls of the fort.
The soldiers atop the walls actually look bored, and only duck or cower if one of the flaming balls actually comes close to their position. Some talk, others drink, one fellow pisses contentedly off the wall; some clean weapons, and some are asleep. One of the soldiers, a man with stained teeth and breath that would knock down an elephant, notes your presence and says, "You fellers ain't never been in a siege afore, have ya? It's like this ev'ry night!"
Back in the courtyard, Adelphocles rears as he grabs his lance and calls for assistance to sally forth and defeat the Huns! Erm...I mean, Orcs! Defeat the Orcs, trying to rally anyone who will follow him. The centaur gets a couple of questioning stares, while one fellow says, "Can ya take me fer a ride, horse man?"
Cassius slips away from the others, scurries to the corner and attempts to eavesdrop on Mikinus and Jasmalus. Through the din of the chaos, Cassius manages to catch a few phrases:
Mikinus: "Mark my words....(flaming ball overhead)....trusted!"
Jasmalus: "Listen....(men shouting)...they are...(shout "Bring me a bucket!") ..."
Mikinus: "All I know is...(shout "I'm tired of this shit!) ...and you'll answer for it!"
Jasmalus: "What are you... (shout "A bucket of SAND, dumbass!") ...leaving in the morning!"

Sai
Seeing that he will be of no use on the wall runs back down and goes to Emerall and drags her to safety near one of the large stone walls.
This is crazy. A guy on the wall just stated it is like this every night!! What the hell, how does anyone get any sleep around here to recoupe spells and rest. Come on, let's get you to a safe spot until all this stops.!!
Grabs her hand and leads her to the closest thick stone wall.

Seeing no way to affect the enemy at this distance, Montego leaves the wall and heads back to the wagons. If they aren't placed there already, he moves them and the horses to an area near the base of the inside wall where they cant be hit by the great balls of fire.
"Goodness gracious, if it is like this every night, no wonder these people are so uptight."
He waits till the captain is done speaking and addresses the man.
"Is there truly nothing that can be done to stop this continuous assault? Has anyone ever tried to cross the river unseen to take out those damn catapults?"

What did you call me?

"I said, How about a ride? But I have another quessshon first: Have ya ever heard the ditty:
"Ride little horsey, goin' down town
Ride little horsey, don't fall down!"
The man slaps Adelphocles on the rump and takes another swig from the jug in his hand.

Adelphocles
Bared his teeth and dropped his lance because though he wanted to kill him he didn't want to kill him. Instead, the angered centaur lunged at the drunkard grabbing him up in his hands.
I'll wait for you to tell me what if anything you want me to roll

Muldgarr watches as his arrows fall short and hears the men say this happens all the time. They all seem to be ok with it, so he’s all for leaving. Although, he wants to figure out why they were being stalked and heads over to Jasmalus and Mikinus. He nods to the two, I see everyone is up in these pre-dawn hours ...I do hope, I’m not interrupting anything? He studies their eyes as they answer.

Frustrated and unable to do much,
Sai and
Montego leave the wall and head back toward the wagons.
Malin and
Emerall are there, and Sai takes Emerall by the hand and leads her to a safer place along the wall. Malin nods toward the chaos and says,
"What the hell is going on?"
"Goodness gracious, if it is like this every night, no wonder these people are so uptight." Montego replies, helping Malin with the horses who are nervous and look about to bolt.
As another flaming sphere flies overhead, Emerall buries her face in Sai's chest, trembling with fear.
"How long is this going to last?" she cries.
Muldgarr leaves the wall as well, spies Mikinus and Jasmalus in what looks like an argument, and heads over. Upon seeing the approaching warrior, the pair immediately break off.
I see everyone is up in these pre-dawn hours ...I do hope, I’m not interrupting anything? Muldgarr studies their eyes, but both shrug away his question. "Nothing to see here," Mikinus says...and then his eyes go wide and he moves away, quickly.
Mulgarr watches Jasmalus for a few seconds and finally the merchant just shakes his head.
"What do you want me to say? We just happened to run into each other. I...was asking the, uh, Captain about this bombardment. That's all."
Mulgarr notes that the merchant never looks him in the eye.
A few yards away, Adelphocles has had enough!
Roll to hit/grab
Montego hears Captain Mikinus shout...and looks up to see him running toward...Adelphocles!

Muldgarr can sense they’re hiding something, hopefully he gain their trust before it is too late. He watches as Mininkus runs towards the centaur...Hmmm...that drunkard is swaying like a flag in the wind! Adolphecles, quit playing around with this human!

Adelphocles
The centaur grabs up the drunk in both hands and holds him up close to his snarling face.
[1d20+3] = 14+3 = 17
NEVER refer to one of my people as a horsey! Especially the Sons of SILVERTREE!!! *fling!*

Cassius
Having had his eavesdropping interrupted, Cassius makes his way back to the others, finding them at the wagons. "Something is up with Minkus and our Jasmalus. There is a familiarity there that they try to hide. I think...what is Adelphocles playing at?"
He stifles a chuckle as the drunk human is grabbed and tossed.

Montego watches it all play out, smirking at the drunk man about to be trampled, but not taking his eye off the horses or wagons for very long.
"Never mess with a sylvan's pride," he mumbles to himself as he calms the horses as best he can.

Remains near the wall with Emeral and Malin. Waiting for the hailing to stop. Enjoying the moment.

Adolphecles, quit playing around with this human! Muldgarr yells, trying to be heard over the din.
And then, Muldgarr realizes Adelphocles isn't playing around at all. Because the centaur grabs up the drunk in both hands and holds him up close to his snarling face.
NEVER refer to one of my people as a horsey! Especially the Sons of SILVERTREE!!!
With a grunt, Adelphocles flings the drunk soldier through the air where he lands face first in the mud of the courtyard, the momentum of the centaur's fling propelling the man several feet to finally slam into the wall!
The addled fellow just lies there for several seconds until his comrades run to his aid.
One of the men yells at Adelphocles,
"Ya could've killed 'im!"
Another of the men yells,
"Ya should pick on someone yer own size!"
But a third man hurries up to Adelphocles with a big grin on his face.
"Do me next! Toss me just like ya did Boney!"
Whereupon the fun of mud sliding was invented

I cant tell if we are supposed to post here or not, but Montego is almost tempted to go for a slide himself.
The huge ranger watches the crazy mud sliders with mild concern, looking down at his own dirty armor and clothing.
He decides to stay with the wagons and horses, just in case the attack gets any worse, despite the mad frolicking from some of the camps inhabitants.

Adolphecles makes some kind of almost dismissive gesture at the drunk and his others and blows his lips. Slowly he seems to collect his composure again as he walks away from the scene. Taking a bellowing breath, he moves to the horses and carts to check on his companions. Sorry about causing a scene. What are our options at this time?
