Would it help to list the oddities / wierdness that could use further attention?

As per your last the current "strangeness for future action" is:

The "Flight Ops Murders"

and Prerna and Frank have initiated

"The 1188th: Dead at Breakfast"

There's more ...

Frank and Keve witnessed one and hold the key to another ;)

Please... List away :-)

EDIT: Is this the locked room with the guy inside who killed himself and then the recording of the torture? Have I missed anything?

Yes, this indeed is:

The locked room with the guy inside who had been killed and the torture recording.

If you are checking through that particular passage of play there's lots of interest.

All sorts of revelations and truths coming out. Perhaps enough for you to deduce that someone has been sold a big fat lie. ;)

I'm quite happy giving clues here as some stuff is canon that you might not know as a player and, in all fairness, the PCs could only be expected to focus on with hindsight.

Thanks for the pointers, off to read it through again, for anyone interested it starts here:

but the really interesting stuff is here:

https://www.unseenservant.us/forum/view ... 80#p472517

"Who’s Tozjabr Soarag?" (or perhaps what rather than who) seems to be the question, plus what is in those vials that Voss has.

Who's Keyser Söze?

The above is good stuff - we can deal with those enquiries IC.

Keep digging! :)

Oh yeah! :D

Full auto option so +2 autofire, Dex 10 or more gives +1 bonus, Pen 4 at effective range. Gauss weapons are also effectively silent when firing.

Right at the bottom of the Individual Weapons: Slug Throwers chart.

The gauss pistol Frank has got is not the auto fire version, he's happy to pass than one to someone else

No doubt waaay down the "To Do" list is the trip to Gunz R Us.

The loot list will probably become the list of stuff you don't need to buy. :)

Just as a reminder the "components mechanic" works here too so if you want to use your new high tech comms in the looted combat armour that will work.

If you don't want to use the auto GL the gravitics pack is a "component" too.

But probably decisions to back burner just for now.

Aren't all the PCs obligated to agree the Aslan access right?

More technically (or pedantically! ;) :) ) put the Aslan have asked that you secure the clan landing rights (and all that attends with that) at the Bartizan.

This is likely access to the still extant landing licence, use of the approach vectors, etc. from when the Bartizan was a military base. No doubt the Purge found these most useful for running drugs.

I didn't want to commit the other PC's to that. If Jess can't get the deal it's on her, not you guys.

So, anyone had thoughts on how much of the 2mil we'll need to invest and how much we get to divvy up?

We need to remember to pay Erica East and I think we should give a bonus to our troops (incl. Prerna's irregulars) .

How about a share for each PC, a half share for EE and another half share divided between the troops?

I'm not sure the going rate for someone like Ms. East.

If you derive a strategy in the broadest terms that will define where you can go in terms of purchases. Maybe the simple choice of quality or quantity is the first step.

Ways you could go are:

purchase one grav Armoured Personnel Carrier (costing most of your money) and carry one squad (8 guys) in it equipped more or less as you are,

buy hard armour and support weapons for a larger number of "leg" infantry and rely on para- military/civilian transport (like the G carrier you already have),

expand with "more of the same" sticking with soft armour and ACRs for the troops, better support weapons and the odd "cherry picked" bit of chrome to give you an edge over folk notionally at the same level (e.g. better sensors or cham surfaced armour to make you "stealthy").

Of course the above choice also influences the type of missions you can bid for. A couple of squads can hardly bid to defend the tyrant's entire city - but, with the right gear, might just be the guys hired to steal his stamp collection or rescue the princess! :)

Thanks for the advice, I'm leaning towards 2 or 3. With 4DC around we need to find our niche.

I was wondering though, do we need to factor in how much it's going to cost to man and run the Bartizan, for say 6 months or a year, and then see what's left?

I guess it's just that I don't have a feel for these kind of costs, so I don't know how much of a chunk it'll take.

I've mused briefly on this and I'm prepared to say you should assume your 2MCr (Shhh, it's actually a bit more like 2.5MCr! ;) ) is the disposable profit you are left with to spend on new toys.

Note: The Bartizan (being something akin to a light commercial airfield) will act to generate some revenue when restored to use. I'm prepared to say this will cover folks' basic daily wages at a better than average rate for the small number of staff you currently now have. The initial dividend is sufficient to proportionally pay a bonus to all NPCs enough to make them officially "happy".

This is a bit "hand wavey" I appreciate but it will hopefully keep game focus on the more immediate and "fun" bits rather than miring us in book keeping (and asosciated notes and queries via PbP).

I hope this is agreeable.

8-)

Well, that does certainly makes life easier, and means more money to spend on toys.

I wasn't purposely trying to over-complicate things :-)
