Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Fendt is Looking both on the outside and inside of the tunnel to fine a lever or some release.

Weather: Light rain
Moon: Waning gibbous
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Courtyard

Castran flies away over the wall and toward the carriage house. He flies through the open doors and sees a large black carriage in the middle of the room, horse stalls to the east, and a ladder on the floor to the west under a trap door to the second floor. Tibbius's body is nowhere in evidence.
Helga lifts the portcullis with one hand. Agrippo passes through, carrying Iluq's remains. Melampus and Tumbler follow with Robert. They proceed toward the castle's back door, dropping the portcullis behind them.
Bragar looks around for a way to escape the castle grounds. As far as he can tell, the closed drawbridge and the closed portcullis of rotting wood at the front entry are the only way through the 90' tall castle walls. There are also two wooden doors in the gate houses on either side of the entrance tunnel.
Fendt goes into the entrance tunnel looking for a lever that would release the drawbridge. When he is about 10' in, the green substance on the ceiling of the tunnel drops on top of him and starts eating into his flesh! Anyone watching would see a slimy green mass covering an empty Fendt-shaped space.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
The gnome in bird form will quietly flit about the carriage house carefully looking for any signs of the stashed wizards corpse.
If he can't find it he will head out and over to the gate house in search of either his invisible surviving comrades or the evil Helga and her posse.
He will retrieve his hand axe on the way if he can but shifting to a larger bird form.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Fendt claws and struggles with the slime trying to pull it from his face and head.

Bragar is close enough to the tunnel to help Fendt if he so chooses.

Castran flits about the carriage house looking for signs of Tibbius's corpse. But he sees no sign of the magic-user's body. He flies back out of the gate house, where he sees Helga and her posse heading into the castle through the back door, carrying the bodies of Iluq and Robert (and their loot).
Bragar returns to the entry tunnel to see Fendt wiping green slime off his face and head with his gauntleted hands. Fendt cleans the slime off his head, but the slime on his body and hands eats through his armor! The slime now covers Fendt's body. The results will be dire if Fendt can't find a way to rid himself of the slime.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Fendt starts removing his armor. tossing all of his non-slime covered items off to the side, in efforts to rid himself of the slime. If that does not work he will just jump down the chasm or whatever is under the drawbridge.

Alright well then set me on fire. Or I'll just jump.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
You'd have to get through the closed gate or over the 90' wall to jump into the chasm.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Who would have to jump in chasm or lift gate?
Bragar starts putting the torch to the slime. Forcing it all Fendt.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
GreyWolfVT said Fendt would jump down the chasm. I'm pointing out that there's a raised drawbridge and a wall in the way of that.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
you're telling me there is no space other than where the drawbridge is that has a chasm? I'm jumping anywhere that has a clear spot but only if the torch does not remove the slime I want to die quickly so its that or slit my own throat...
