Valorei gives the cleric a wide smile with a laugh, "I certainly know your plight there my friend! I would be delighted to have another brave friend come aboard! If the others are in accordance... We had made plans to leave east after the harrowing festival is concluded."

So, Val.....what did the Duke have to say about your little theory?
Val gives Wendall a confused look, "My theory? On the sword? We never spoke of it, was there another theory?" He takes another drink from his cup, "We did speak of the possible benefits as well as negatives of finding another society, and that he has tasked me with finding out them as well as any other interesting pieces of history and knowledge this land has. The duke certainly seems to have the right view about this land! There is so much to learn!"
I was speaking of your theory about the lost elves of course.

It seems like the others are interested in helping you so.......if you still want me along, I'm willing as well.

Valorei, "Ah! Yes, he did believe me. In fact he wasn't all too surprised at the possibilities of an ancient elven society living here, even though any public documents of my people would say otherwise..."

Valorei gives Wendall a confused look before his features soften into a small smile, "I am a historian and researcher. I seek to learn from history, not dwell in it." He pats the wizards shoulder, letting his new elfin chain rattle on his thin frame. he gives Wendall a sly grin, "And besides, what would I do without my cranial misshapen wizard friend, who's talents lie in putting people to sleep? Hehe"

Martin smiles at the invitation to join the group. "Thank you for welcoming me into your group. Pray tell though, why must we wait until after the upcoming festival to set out? Why can we not go sooner?"

Valorei, "The others all have their excuses and reasoning's. For me though? Simple curiosity, I have not experienced this Harrowing Festival and from what everyone claims it sounds like a grand time!"

Wendall

I am willing to take a quick trip on the morning of the 27th. As long as we come back on the 30th, before the fest begins.

It may be easiest just to FF to/past Harrowing, and venture out post-Harrowing. It should only cost a few silver in lodging

Martin Whyte

"Well, maybe we could make a quick trip with jsut the two of us," Martin replies, rubbing his chin. "To be honest, Wendell, I was much taken aback by your appearance earlier, and was uncertain of your abilities, but these others seem to vouch for your courage and skill, if not your wisdom. What harm could come from a short jaunt around the countryside?"

With the clerics praises of Wendall Valorei turns around, not facing the two, but careful examination shows Val's shoulder heaving as he tries his hardest to keep in laughter.

Olympia sidles up next to Martin. "Welcome to the group, handsome traveler!" she says loudly and warmly. "I am Olympia. I am a Radiant of Fortis--God of Strength, Unconquerable Sun, Lover of Epithets!"

If Wendall and Martin going for a quick jaunt, Olympia's up for it as well if they're back for Harrowing ~ She just needs to stop and pay off her chapel first!

After getting his silent laughter under control Valorei turns back, "If you are seriously considering going outside with just you and Wendall then I shall offer my help as well, as long as we are back to witness this festival I have no reason to ignore your request for adventure. I am anxious myself to find what other mystery's this land has." he gives a smirk at Olympias introduction, "it seems Olympia has taken a liking to you, I am sure she could be persuaded to come along as well."

thought about it and honestly Val would never turn down an opportunity to go out and learn more.

It seems that Martin is the leader of this outing so his direction most likely... hopefully it leads a bit in the...eastern direction? ;) :D 8-)

If you're making a trip to be back by Harrowing, good luck getting very far eastward...

Gah, fine then you party poopers.

What about directly westward? The adjacent hex looks empty, I don't know if people have searched it yet....

Varas would explore the westward hex. A previous party did, cleared a wolf den. Isn 't that also where Zamfir was?

Wendall

I would love to introduce Val to Seesil or whatever his name was.

Let's just go west for a day or two. You know, see what we find!
