Jura, while we wait for the DM, do you want to have a RP chat with Troy? Let's bond and share each of our dreams, hopes, and fears. Or just talk about mundane things like how Troy kind of don't mind pineapple over pizza.

Sure, always up for that. Feel free to start something and I'll jump in.

Troy
After Troy reaches Thorncity, he decided to have a nice dinner with Luca as a token of gratitude towards him.
Gotta say, i still can't believe we makes it out alive after encountering a dragon, mister Silvercharm.
I wonder, what makes you so interested with magical things? I've never seen your eye glitter with intent and appreciation when we speak with that dragon? Especially of your request.

Eternal beauty. My goals in life and very shallow, superficial and yet, I am all for it. I just know magic exists to extend ones looks.
The more I learn about magic and be around eternal beings like a dragon, the more chances I have to figure out a way not to look old.
I dread becoming old. I know it is inevitable and I will eventually come to accept it. Still, if there is a chance to avoid it.
I never admitted this to anyone before, but here you go. This is what drives me, well and the unknown. The excitement, not knowing what tomorrow brings.
Jumping into the unknown is the greatest feeling ever to me. I never know where I will sleep when the day ends and that is the best way to live.
What is it that drives you, is it only out of loyalty, or do you have dreams of your own to achieve? Luca responds while enjoying the dinner with Troy.

Troy
Troy takes a drink of his ale and answers..
Honestly, mister Silvercharm. What the dragon says about ambition, of me building my own pack... I can't seems to deny that most of my kin have that dream once in their life, including myself. Yet, i do not want to betray the hand that fed me all this time.
Perhaps, if Tuskdale is big enough, i may request them for me to set my own house as their bannermen. That's a very good compromise.
My wildest dream, mister Silvercharm? I want to dabble into politics. I want to have the power to help a lot of people in this city. Of course,i'm not well versed, though i've know some of their language, and no one would want a beast dressing up as them in their court, so might as well forget about it.
My torchbearer, Beverly, she has an piece of work of an ex-husband who deserted and abandoned her, yes? If the Basilisk matters is done in a satisfactory matter. I think i'll try to hunt him down, perhaps mingling with the armed force of the Refuge, if that's possible. If not, i'll keep looking for things to do that elevates the Tuskdale standing amongst its peers and perhaps the Princess herself.

I guess, you and i aren't so different after all, mister Silvercharm. Just want to make the best out of our life.

On that we can certainly agree my friend he says raising his glass to toast.
Politics you said? What title are you aiming for? Maybe we can make it happen over time.
A marriage with princess Flora or maybe something more modest perhaps? Luca asks intrigued wondering how much power Troy is aiming for.

Troy
Raises his glass for a toast
Enough for me to elevate House Tuskdale and the land they are entrusted to.
As for position... i'm afraid, i don't know what role am i taking in the court. A knight, perhaps a good start, but i'll have to serve as a squire first, and that'll take time.
I prefer what we do right now. Yes, there's high risk, but so does the reward.

You? a squire? Nah, straight to knighthood with you good sir. They would be fools to waste those talents. Luca grins.
What are your plans with Beverly's husband once you find him?

Troy
Troy chuckles.
Perhaps, perhaps.
He then ponders for a second before makes his answer.
About Beverly ex-husband? Put him to justice, i suppose. Not my justice, though, but Beverly's and the Thorncity's justice.
A deserter is a deserter after all.
How about you? What comes after our basilisk matter is concluded for you?

Gwen's parents are good friends of mine, so I might see this through all the way. At least until we either reunite her with them or find closure, learning what has happened.
Just don't tell anyone; wouldn't want to lose the bargaining chip in case our benevolent princess is willing to pay us for yet another follow-up quest. Playing hard to get usually gets you the best pay.

You're truly a good uncle, mister Silvercharm.
Whoever ends up as your wife, would be very lucky right now.

I appreciate the kind words, but men like me aren't blessed for marriage.
Many flaws come with my lifestyle, but even I could not hurt a woman such as to con her into marriage. Living up to the standards of an honorable husband?
I can only dream, my friend Luca says as Troy would sense a hint of sincere honesty in his words.
He quickly gets up to get two more ales in an attempt to hide his personal feelings on the matter. Luca leaves for the bar and returns with a smile as if nothing out of the ordinary happened earlier.
Here you go, my friend Luca says, placing down the mug of Ale in front of Troy, before taking back his seat across from him.

Troy
Thank you.
Troy drinks his given ale. Empathy, hidden in his eye, but exist to Luca.
How about a woman who walk the same path as you? Would you take the chance, knowing that she know and on the same page as you?

You think a woman like that exists? Luca responds skeptic.
Talking about marriage, I have to ask. You and Beverly. I get that you are too honorable to act on it while she is employed. In the future though, any chance that you and her?

Troy shrugs.
You know your world more than i do, friend.
He then frowns and say
Me and Beverly? Not a chance.
He sips his tankard.
What? Do you think we're a good match?

Nope. I know she trust me, hence why she accept this job. But more than that, no. Haven't crossed my mind
Troy sips his tankard until it's empty.
I'm done for the night.
