(13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
Tuurma replies to Amos: "yes, of course, I was just planning to see if we can find anyone else in here who did not already decide to avoid your temple at all costs. You remember some of them did mention some waking dream where they were killed?"
She walks up to the group and greets them each with a nod.
"Hey you. Snake-men, dwarves. Bludgeoning weapons. You're doing well I hear." She smiles. Then spots Sik among them. "Well, you're a big one. Can you hit as hard as you look like you can hit?"
If she can find Cormag there:
"Hey, Cormag. Are you interested in new challanges? If so, why don't you tag along with the two of us and hear what Amos has to say?"
Tuurma plans to try to recruit Belloc and Taibhse for this quest as well, if they're interested.

"We could use some more manpower and missile weapons. I don't have the coin but a silver weapon might be useful too."
Can silver weapons be used to hit something only hit by magical weapons?

Xenos nods back at Tuurma
"Is Ceana still around?" he asks her

"Yes, I saw her with Kain at the bazaar just now, they were dealing with someone. She should be here soon."

Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
For the second time in a short while, a growing group of friends old and new, drink and celebrate their mostly honest gains of recent explorations.
Drest suddenly appears out of nowhere, taking his seat among the others as if he’d forgotten he was hiding. Sik looks at him with utter disgust, an expression well know to the filthy Pict upon most of his initial introductions.
Xenos sets up the evenings boarding details for his group, reserving exclusive space on the basement floor of the brothel next door. It is agreed upon that they will gather supplies yet tonight, before leaving again at first light for their return to the ruined desert fortress.
Tuurma listens closely to the others tales, admiring their new large native friend with caution. She asks Cormag if he will accompany her and Amos to the nearby Grotto of Rel, that name still leaving a bad taste in the mouths of her other acquaintances. She awaits the Kelts answer, but seems willing to go herself either way.

Not unless I am missing something in the rules somewhere.
Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
I don't think it is in the rules, just a common house rule around here for all D&D type games.
Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
Sik smiles at Tuurma and nods his head. "Harder."

Cormag takes a swig of his ale and nods. After this drink? I hope?sastaz wrote: ↑Thu Jul 13, 2023 9:55 pm Tuurma replies to Amos: "yes, of course, I was just planning to see if we can find anyone else in here who did not already decide to avoid your temple at all costs. Tuurma
"Of course, excellent. Let me just check with Belloc and Taihbse as well. Sit tight Cormag, we'll be right back."
And with that Tuurma (and Amos, hopefully) heads for the Astrologer's Tower.

Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
Sik, seeing the conversation die down as Tuurma leaves, looks to his companions. "Shall we head out to purchase what supplies we need and prepare to set out in the next morning?"
Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
Xenos
"I was hoping to speak to Ceana before we go, in case we need to purchase more. But we certainly need to get our shopping finished before tonight's curfew."

Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
After Tuurma and Cormag head out to find the others, the remaining adventurers discuss the items they intend to purchase before morning.
Sik starts to notice a few too many staring faces looking in his direction, even for this place, causing Xenos to wonder if they should regroup at their agreed upon nightly lodgings, the basement floor of the brothel next door.
Actions?
Do you have a full list of the items you want to purchase? Maybe I can speed that part along while we wait for Ceana to become available for conversation.

"Let's head next door and make a shopping list, we are drawing too much attention."
I think we are interesting in the following item costs:
Rations
Oil
Torches
Lanterns
Light Crossbow & bolts
Sling & Bullets
Weighted net, gargoyle size
Horseman mace or hammers
Once we know costs we can work out how many we can afford

"Agreed." he gest up and leaves with Xenos.
Are we doing prices straight from the rules?
Short Bow, Quiver, and Arrows.

I think we are interesting in the following item costs:
Rations 10gp/week/person
Oil 2sp/8oz flask (each burns 6 hours)
Torches 1sp ea. (1-2 hour burn)
Lanterns 14gp
Light Crossbow & bolts 30gp/10gp (light, 20)
Sling & Bullets 4gp/1gp (lead, 20)
Weighted net, gargoyle size
Horseman mace or hammers 8gp/10gp
Once we know costs we can work out how many we can afford
Re: (13) The Last Plank (Docks Tavern)
Drest
Drest has 2gp group funds.
Personal funds is 14gp and 16sp.
Looking like sling and bullets.

Xenos
Xenos has 30gp. As expected the crossbows are too expensive, as are the lanterns.
So for 1 weeks rations, 12 torches, sling & 20 bullets, and a second waterskin (at 2gp, that's double list price) that's 18gp and 2sp. This is probably the minimum we each need to return.
On top of that we need to consider the net and possibly some hammers, but they're 8gp each, we might have to just get one or two to share, if at all.
