(It does more damage; in game terms; but is otherwise pretty much used for all the same things a knife is used for)
Thanks, he'll take "Equipment Tools" and a knife-sized vibroblade.

Okay everybody: I got a bit delayed last night...sorry!
Next post in the main thread is up; sorry for hi-jacking a few player's characters into certain actions; but I thought I'd get the action moving! Apologies if anyone is upset with my decisions!
Notes: Please check out the
Out Runner thread for a quick run-down of the ship you all are in. I will be posting a picture in the near future and maybe a home-made ship's layout of the interior....don't get excited; it'll probably by pretty bad!
Also; I included a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG post in the House-rules threads all about vehicle combat; hopefully it makes sense to everybody. Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions/make comments.
I will be updating character's with equipment in the near-futue......if I didn't mention it before; EVERYONE has a comlink....no need to ask for one!
With that all said: Fire-away on the Main thread!

Gavin: 2 Quick Questions: I assume when you say Light Armor you mean Armor Clothing and not a Blast Vest (Difference is Armor Clothing is +1 to STR and no penalty to DEX; Blast Vest is +2 to STR and -1 penalty to DEX); Also...what kind of tools would you like? There are Equipment Tools; Computer Tools or Vehicle tools.....
Everybody: I'm updating all of your sheets with the added equipment....let me know if anyone has any questions/concerns.

Update your character by spending skill points from last adventure (basically; any skill can be raised up to 3 pips (1 full 'D'); and the cost is the number before the 'D' for each pip....i.e. a Blaster score of 4D would cost 4 skill points to raise to 4D+1; 8 skill points to raise to 4D+2; or 12 skill points to raise to a maximum of 5D; 1D higher than its current score). You can have 1-3 left over points; but please try to spend as many as possible.
Also....the current situation has Grey Starr moving into a Twin Laser Cannon on the Freighter and has 3 TIE fighters at Medium range (Difficulty 15 to hit); which are closing in; and 1 TIE fighter at Long range and staying there....
Does this clear things up?
Let me know if you have any questions/concerns!

Nope....just overconfident Impies!
Okay; next post coming late tonight/early tomorrow morning (I'm on night shift).....I don't think I'm giving anything away by saying that the TIE fighters (except for the one at long range) are going to attempt to close the range and shoot the
Out Runner. If I don't get replies from our Pilot and Gunner; I'm just going to assume they do the following:
Pilot: Evasive Action (full)
Gunner: Shoot back (once) at one of the TIE closing in
Angelic: It's your call if you want to attempt to angle shields or not
Everybody else: Hang on to your hats!

Sorry for the lag in replying; it's been a busy week or two here.
That's fine; in a ship like this, I'd been envisioning him in more of a support role (with repair and astrogation work, primarily), so that fits right in with what I was thinking. Were he to join us dirtside, I'd see him acting like R2-D2, slicing into computer systems, opening doors for us, etc., but not flying around on retractable rockets or the like lol

No worries Jedi; welcome back!
Okay; next post is up...the battle is getting interesting! Your ship has taken Light Damage; if it gets hit again and the Hull roll is less than the Damage roll; but more than half of it; then the Ship will proceed to be Severely Damaged....which can be really bad as Weapons; Maneuverability, Speed, etc. are all pretty much guaranteed to be reduced. Since most of you are not really skilled in the Ship skills....now might be a time for spending a Force Point.....if I was the kind of GM to suggest such a thing.....
Also; unless he posts to tell me otherwise; I'm going to have Greystarr spend a point this next round to try and take out the Recon TIE and another TIE.
Actions?

So...I have to ask this because A) as a player, I came into the game late, and B) my character has just met up with Borsk.
How widely known is it that Borsk is a Jedi? Beyond the characters who have journeyed with him before now, who obviously will have this knowledge, do the new additions know about him?
I ask because the Alliance would definitely want it known, at least amongst their own ranks, that they actually have a Jedi working with them; after all, the founders all knew and loved the Jedi Order, and would truly rally around him. However, they might also keep his existence a secret outside their ranks to help keep him safe from the Empire.
I don't know how this has been played up to now, and I need to in order to post what I was going to, or know not to.

Everyone: Sorry for a bit of a longer delay than I intended....the past week has been crazy! No matter; the next post is up; so have at it with the posting!
As I haven't heard from Grey Starr; I'm going to spend his Skill points....Gunnery; Hide/Sneak and Search have all been increased; he has 1 Skill point left-over.
Jedi: Borsk doesn't have a dishonest bone (or perhaps, patch of fur is better?

) in his body; so I'm pretty sure he would have told everyone on the team about his abilities with the Force....or at the very least; everyone would know that he believes very strongly in the Force and some of the others would have DEFINITELY seen and most likely talked about some of the things they've seen him do (Heal himself 'magically'; Lift things with his mind; etc.)
He would be the first to say though; he's not a Jedi...at least, not yet.....as for High Command; while many believe in the Force....there would also be many that had doubts, if not disbelief....or at least a cynicism that the Jedi couldn't stop the rise of the Empire or their near annihilation. Also; please remember that in my game; the Jedi were taken out a little further back in time than in "cannon" Star Wars.....25-30 years ago. There also weren't as many of them in my 'spin' on Star Wars as there were in "cannon" SW.
That all being said; it's common knowledge in the Alliance that Lord Vader is a powerful Force User....or at least; that's the scuttlebutt.....additionally; it's making the rounds that a young farm boy who fired the lucky shot that destroyed the Death Star is supposedly a Jedi; or at least something like one; as well. By this point; rumors of a few others might be spreading as well....I'm gonna say High Command (or at the very least; the local commanders the PCs have dealt with) are essentially doing nothing to either confirm or deny the rumors.

Good to go. Thanks for the low-down. Just so everyone's on the same page, I'm going to run with the notion that Borsk hasn't performed any jaw-dropping demonstrations of his abilities in front of Zinn thus far, but Zinn HAS been thoroughly briefed on all his teammates, and since I'm also gonna take a bit of license (unless shot down by max) and presume that Terra, as the team's former pilot, will have been the one to brief Zinn, and will have told him what to expect...if for no other reason than to keep Zinn's concentration from being broken in a critical moment by a sudden demonstration of Force ability.

Jedi: That sounds entirely cool with me!
Everybody: Next post is up; have at it with the posting!
Kipper: I made a roll with your Languages skill and the result of 15 means that you pretty much get the gist of what the Verpine were talking about; while perhaps missing a bit of the technical jargon....i.e. something like: "Oh, if we switch out the BLANK with some BLANKS; then we could definitely improve the lateral movements by a factor of BLANK". Something like that!

Have any of the team members earned any military ranks in the Alliance organization much like 'General' Solo did in the films?

Gavin: I made a few slight edits to your last post; LT Pollard was the one speaking and he's human....the Quarren Bodyguard SGT never said a thing....my apologies if I worded my post poorly to make it seem that this was the case.
Angelic (and everyone): You are all currently at the Alliance Intel rank of 'Agent'; which is the equivalent of the rank of Lieutenant (the second Officer rank out of 7 total officer ranks) in the Alliance Fleet, Alliance Army, Alliance Star Fighter Force and Alliance Logistics & Supply Services branches. Here's my take on the (Officers) rank structure in the Alliance (which is quasi-military...so some individuals are far more likely to be 'spit and polish' about such things than others)
Alliance Army: Junior Lieutenant (JR LT), Senior Lieutenant (SR LT), Captain (CAPT), Major (MAJ), Colonel (COL), General (GEN), General of the Army (GOA)
Alliance Fleet: Ensign (ENS), Lieutenant (LT), Lieutenant Commander (LCDR), Commander (CDR), Captain (CAPT), Admiral (ADM), Admiral of the Fleet (AOF)
Alliance Star Fighter Force: Flight Officer (FO), Lieutenant (LT), LCDR or CAPT depending on Squadron assignment to Ship/Space Station or Ground Base/Roving; Commander (CDR), Wing Commander (WCDR), General (GEN), General of Starfighters (GOS)
Alliance Logistics and Supply Services: Supply Officer (SO), Lieutenant (LT), Captain (CAPT), Quartermaster (QMST), Commodore (COM), General, Quartermaster General (QMG)
Alliance Intel: Operative (OPR), Agent (AG), Special Agent (SAG), Case Officer (CSO), Deputy Director (DDIR), Director (DIR), Director General (DIRG)
The seventh and last officer rank in each branch is held by a single individual at a time.
