Sir Justin responds, eying the flames. "I believe that I was quite clear. Neither I nor my trapmaker here will go further in such folly with runes in place. Break the runes, turn back, or go on alone. If you all are burned to death right here, I will transport your charred corpses back to the White Tower as my last act of service."

Did the flames appear again when Tollander threw the second stone across the runes? The text says it passed across the runes harmlessy.

Tollander holds on to his staff. "Sir Justin, why are you so fixated by these flames? All of us can turn away to talk to one another. Yet for some reason you continue to stare. Why? Can you not look at Neegan while you talk to him?"

"Neegan, perhaps you could stand a few steps back over there?" requests the monk of Gwanwen.

My apologies for the confusion - the flames have not gone away. They remain roaring in the hallway, just behind the runes, since Tollander tried to cross them. They did not change when the stone was thrown. Sir Justin is watching the flames.

You can explicitly reach the runes, but the flames prevent progress past them.

Neegan- Thinking that Tollander and Galmit may be onto something. Sir Justin look here at me! If the flames go out or move with Sir Justins gaze. Neegan will know this a spell or a illusion.

Tollander steps between Agustin and the runes to prevent him defacing the runes. "This is not your decision to make. Neegan is the leader here."

Sir Justin is visibly agitated as you interpose and implicitly threaten Agustin. "Neegan already ordered the runes be removed. Heed his words yourself. As the dwarves are not doing it themselves, my trapmaker will do his job." He gazes on Tollander's face as the monk stands between him and the flames. "As I said, break the runes, turn back, or go on alone. We have but one objective, here, and Neegan has decided that the runes break and we go forward. You cannot do that while those flames remain."

Neegan- Lets look for another way in. Sir justin have your thief scout ahead. Sir Justin & Galmit then Tollander and myself will be the marching order.

Neegan will hold Tollander back when back long enough to ask him what what he is thinking. Why he is againstremoving the ruins.

Galmit already thinking the same as the other two merely gets into his marching order and doesn't hang back but nods his head indicating he has heard the same as he is thinking.

From that description, the runes tunnel is probably the only way down :( . I can't imagine they built two ways in and the other would have runes anyway.

We could search for a password across the runes. Maybe there's a way to deactivate them if they needed to put more evil stuff down there. But if we did find something like that, Sir Justin would try to get it from us :?

Neegan - Asks Tolleander if he can replace the ruins if they are removed. These ruins do have the ability to recreate them? Possibly they magically reappear? This place was created to secure artifacts. Most of them evil.
