OOG: It's been a few days, but I'm still around. We're under "stay at home" orders (ur, well from our stupid Governor that's only a recommendation), but things have been strange here. I'm the caregiver for my 99 year old Mother, so I've had her locked down for 3+ weeks and I've been, except for two trips to the grocery store and a daily (very) solitary walk around the neighborhood locked down with her. My sister is staying here now and has to work from home, so I spent some time getting a "home office" set up for her. Between the three of us, I think she has the most "cabin fever" so far. :) I, however, am a lot more use to being stuck here all the time...what with Mom. I do need to make another run to the grocery store sometime this week...no I don't need to score toilet paper. :)

IAC, I am currently Covid-19 free...I hope...well at least, none of us are showing any of the symptoms. Um, well we all are coughing and sneezing, but dry eyes and scratchy nose tell me that's from the pollen in the air not the virus. Knock on wood! :)

I hope the same can be said for each and all of you! Stay Safe.

Back mid-march they closed the campus and moved it all online, so I've been working from home except for a few days; the three of us in our office are rotating 'on site' days, since there are still research labs that need to remain running and the Posion and Drug Information Center is also part of the College (which is now also the COVID-19 information center) and it is manned 24/7. Massive ramp-up of online teaching which has amazingly gone pretty well.

Our Governor issued a 'stay at home' order to take effect tonight at 5PM till Aptil 30, but the list of 'essential businesses' staying open is kind of ludicrous: nail and hair salons, lawyers offices and gun stores are 'essential businesses', apparently. Mounted an expedition to Costco this morning for the 'senior hours (over 60. Yep I'm an old now!) ; ridonculous lines, but managed to stock up for the anticipated month. My Mom is safely ensconced in her house and should be good for the duration.

I work from home anyway, so once the kids schools were cancelled we mostly went into hunker down mode. Unfortunately the nature of our digestive systems have left me going shopping twice a week or so. I hope to narrow that down, but it's just hard, and no one store carries everything we need (we aren't getting meat from the Fred Meyer (Kroger) or Safeway, but the "natural foods" grocery store doesn't carry the other stuff we eat, and last week's big trip to Fred Meyer was followed by ducking into Safeway and getting almost everything that I couldn't get at Fred Meyer). Before the lock down we would have happily stocked up on the one frozen meat (Trader Joes Orange Chicken) we do, but they were out (we did stock up on most everything else we get from Trader Joes).

My wife is being challenged by our 6 year old's school thinking she can do daily assignments across a spectrum of subjects while fending off the 4 year old (the 4 year old's school has a 2 week spring break so we don't know what they will have for us, but at that age it won't be assignments anyway at least). Plus before this blew up my wife volunteered to be part of the search committee for a new senior minister for our church which is turning out to be quite stressful with folks not adapting to the current reality very well.

Thanks to play by post and Roll20 gaming plus my Lego hobby I'm not going totally stir crazy, and my job should be secure through this.

Frank

Already locked down here across the pond with elderly relatives sensibly isolating early. Supplies and suppliers now adjusted to the situation and lots of local businesses switching to doing deliveries ... and so ... we wait!

Stay safe all! :)

Just in case any want to get the Striker rules they're here.

In the sale in pdf format for "super cheap":

https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php ... 940c417699

Price one US dollar!

Even ignoring the rules and design sequences the Book 3 equipment lists, charts and tables are invaluable.

In an homage to Robocop "I'd buy that for a dollar!"

Hmmm. I'm not seeing at that price. I'm lucky enough to have the boxed striker rules on my shelf, but would've grabbed the pdf.

The link you posted just goes to their main page. Do you have one directly to the product?

The PMs seem to be in my outbox rather than sent, so I'm not sure if you can see them. Let me know.

It seems I went into "Lock down" mode without even thinking. :( Guys, you need to nudge me if I disappear. I can *make* time for the game, but with RL the way it is I have to *think* about doing it or I just forget. <sigh>

Anyway, here's a post...

I'm going to drop out of this game. I haven't felt a part of it, really since I joined.

Best wishes to all.

Well, the pace has been really slow, so it's tough to establish a character.

Take care..
