Re: In Gods We Trust
Rakjak
Rakjak lets out a kind of staggered hissing tone, a form of cackling without the tone so he does not alert the other guards. He gives the now freed slave a toothy grin, "Rakjak not come for slaves. Rakjak come with others to hunt prey bandit, yes? Yes!" He looks over the guard and the surrounding slaves, "Slave man no slave longer yes? Then grab prey bandit things and help Rakjak kill others! Rakjak show you way out laters, now is time for hunting." With that Rakjak lopes over to the others, keeping low with a wide grin plastered on his canine features and a mad predatory gleam in his eyes.

NPC Post: Slave 3 – Bartrane Falirus - Human – Noble
Bartrane gives Rakjak a peculiar smile. "Ye words are e bit hard to read, but I accept ye offer.” He bows slightly, with a wince of pain, and says, “Thank ye. Yer deeds will nay be forgotten soon.” The nobleman leaves the pick in the guard’s skull and strips him of his weapons; a short sword and a simple knife. Before following Rakjak to the temple, Bartrane comforts the other two slaves, an old female Gnome, and a young male Half-Elf, telling them to stay hidden with the other three slaves, behind the wooden scaffolding. He limps along behind Rakjak, ready to deal a bit of pain to the filthy bandits.

NPC Post: Slave 2 – Elf – Young Male
Slaves 1 & 2, both young males, a Gnome and an Elf, follow Lyaera’s orders, hopeful that she might be a friend. They try to prop the guard’s body against a nearby column, but it keeps slumping to the floor. They both look at Lyaera with pitiful eyes, unsure what to do next?

Re: In Gods We Trust
Summary: Confused Pirate-Bandits
Calendar: 8:56 pm - July 10th, 9001
Location: Undercity Bottom Level – Ancient Temple
Kel, Gavin, Rakjak, and Slave 3 (Bartrane) all converge on the temple entrance and stare at the two Pirate-Bandits at the back of the temple arguing about the large golden statue, while Zirus and Tobias prepare for the next guard, and Lyaera sooths the slaves. Kel, finding Lyaera’s actions unwarranted, quickly chastises her, gaining the attention of the two guards at the rear of the temple.
Pirate-Bandit Response 1=fight, 2=confused, 3=misinterpret [1d3] = 3
The two guards look confused at first, then turn and question their guest:
Pirate-Bandit 2: “Well look here Skiptooth. Seems as though Largruff sent us some new meat to train.”
Pirate-Bandit 1: “Yep, and they’re getting uglier every day.”
Pirate-Bandit 2: “Yep. These ones is stronger than them puny dogs he sent last time. Largruff must be getting impatient.”
Pirate-Bandit 1: “Must be.”
Pirate-Bandit 2: “Don’t just stand there ya mangy dogs. Take a slave and keep’em busy. We got arti… arti… Largruff needs something found. Quick now, get to it!”
The guards stare at Gavin and Kel who fill the entry doorway, with Rakjak and Slave 3 at the rear. After a brief moment Pirate-Bandit 2 calls out for some third party with an irritated voice.
Pirate-Bandit 2: “Kelmer? Kelmer! Who brung these rats over here? Is Largruff back?” The guard gets no immediate reply, and with a huff begins walking toward the party, Pirate-Bandit 1 following close behind.
Pirate-Bandit 2: “I told you it were’nt a good idea to leave him alone out there.”
The Pirate-Bandits make their way toward the party, looking like they intend to push through toward the outside and find this person named Kelmer. Pirate-Bandit 2 seems to be mumbling something about always having to do everything himself. Strangers seem to be a common occurrence, given their reaction to the party standing in the doorway.
Pirate-Bandit 2 wears chainmail armor with a tarnished scimitar at his side.
Pirate-Bandit 1 wears light leather with a short sword at his side.
NOTE: Roughly 6 minutes have passed since descending the ropes. In another 4 minutes another guard will arrive.

Lyaera- Fights to keep her mouth shut till the 2 guards are surrounded by the party. I think you 2 should start digging ya Mangy Dogs!! If you dont my friends here will put some arrows in your head. What is this Largruff looking for anyways? That it would be burried in stone. She pulls her throwing axes from her back. If one of them look like they are going to yell for help she will throw her axe.

Ex Āctiōne: Guards of Confusion
Calendar: 8:58 pm - July 10th, 9001
Location: Undercity Bottom Level - Ancient Temple
The Pirate-Bandits push through the party in search of this Kelmer they keep calling for.
Pirate-Bandit 2: “Kelmer, if you’re napping again, so help me…”
The Pirate-Guards exit the ancient temple to find Lyaera chastising two of the slaves. The outer guard they find, now dead and strapped to a column, looking for all the world like he’s sleeping upright.
Pirate-Bandit 2 gives a quick shake of his head, pulls a dagger from his belt, and marches with intent toward the dead guard. Halfway there he realizes something is wrong and stops in his tracks. A look of confusion then fear flashes across his face. Pirate-Bandit 1, not having seen the dead Kelmer yet, stops behind him.
Pirate-Bandit 1: “What’s Kelmer doing this time Jeb?”
Pirate-Bandit 2: “I…Kelmer…It…”
Pirate-Bandit 1: “What’s it?”
Both guards just stand there. Guard 2 unsure what he’s seeing and Guard 1 unsure what Guard 2, or for that matter Kelmer, is doing.
NOTE: In two minutes the next guard arrives.
