(OOC- I don't think I need help to climb in a window. If it's three feet off the ground, I am four feet tall not counting reaching out my arms...lol I accuse you of Dwarfism...jk)

Before he joined the rest in climbing into the building Marshal readjusted some of his gear, and than made sure his bag of caltrops was close at hand, he somewhat felt as though it would be of use. Than he hopped up and scaled the distance with relative ease. Climbing into the house. In the softest whisper he stated. "I have darkvision, so I should be up front, and scout. Right?" He wasn't about to force his will on the group, just give them his suggestions.

Ty cautiously approaches the nearest window and slowly peers inside. The room, obviously abandoned for some time, is full of dust and cobwebs. The interior of the inn has definitely seen better days, with most of the fixtures either broken or in various states of disrepair. When no obvious threats are detected in this room, which is separated from the room with the flickering light by a wall, he quickly climbs through. Followed by Marshal, then Petra, and finally Athriel.

"I have darkvision, so I should be--" Marshal starts, before being shushed by Athriel.

Everyone falls silent as the half-elf raises his index finger over his mouth and closes his eyes, listening intently. Convinced he heard something, he points off in the direction of the wall serving as a barrier between their current location and the flickering light... and the sound!

Ty: Perception (15+3+5 = 23): [1d20+4] = 7+4 = 11

I never meant that Marshal couldn't make it through the window on his own, but it would be a significant effort on his part, and not quite as simple as the task will be for his more full-sized companions.

Ty readies his starknife and squats low to the floor, waiting.

If nobody makes any further moves, and nothing sounds like it is coming their way, Ty takes a quick moment to study the floor, looking for any tracks.

Athriel, reacting first, slowly pulls out his crossbow out and loads a quarrel. He cautiously begins to move towards the wall of what used to be an office; listening carefully, trying to better make out the sound he heard moments earlier. As the half-elf advances, Petra begins to sing a sweet lullaby and, almost instantly, a crash is heard somewhere in front of, and very near Athriel. "The effect will only last seconds..." Petra cautions after hearing the collapse of someone (or something) that succumbed to her hex.

Marshal attempts to silently position himself against what used to be the bar, just forward of window through which the group entered. He crouches low, his only movement once he reaches his destination is to pull out and ready his crossbow. Ty readies his starknife and squats low to the floor and efforts unsuccessfully to see what may be approaching.


He, like the rest, fail to see an opponent. Only the sound of something seemingly tripping to the floor after Petra performed her hex betrays the general location of their potential adversary.

The map is rough, but assuming North is up, there is a bar in the southwest corner and an office in the northeast. The northern wall of this office has not held up and has crumbled to the ground, which is what allowed the flickering light inside of it to be spotted through the front windows. The bluish square in front of Athriel is where you suspect the now sleeping adversary is... but, because it can't be seen, no one knows the precise location.

Speaking of precise locations, I modified the maps to include numbers on each cell. Please indicate on which cell your character will end their turn when declaring your actions.

Petra smiles to herself at the potential victim and changed her song to a soft, melodic humming.
yay! Petras first Hex success! She will let the others scout the building and maintain the slumber hex using cackke hex.

Marshal will remain in place assured that his comrades will scream out if they need him and he can cover many angles from his location.

Crouching low and keeping his left hand out in front of him, Athriel will attempt to move through as many cells as possible in an attempt to find our invisible friend. He will start in 95 & 96 before moving to 111 & 112. If he can continue moving, he will move to inspect 132 & 133 followed by 153 & 154.

Crouching low and keeping his left hand out in front of him, Athriel scurries forward, attempting to locate the unseen foe. Nearly reaching the crumbling wall separating the common room from the office, he flails his hands along the floor but fails to make contact. He is able to notice from his current position that the flickering light has disappeared. Petra backs a few feet and positions herself between the windows, spying on what's outside while the others search.

The unseen adversary stirs, and begins to scramble to their feet, maybe 20-feet east of where Athriel is located.

Marshal holds his position, confident in his ability to cover many angles from his location. Ty quickly springs forward and begins rushing towards the doorway and the source of the sound.
