Fanxyl- Now has his bow. He his is giddy as a grasshopper in a lettuce cart. He lets loose a arrow at the first group of Kobolds that cleared the barrels. You Dogface runts will pay now!! Come and meet death.

to hit: [1d20+1] = 5+1 = 6, to Dam: [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

Llewellyn stays toward the back of the group and attacks any kobolds that happen to slip though the front defenses.

Rapier (THAC0 20): [1d20] = 13 [1d6] = 1 (S/M) [1d8] = 8 (L)
Off-hand dagger (THAC0 20): [1d20-1] = 19-1 = 18 [1d4] = 2 (S/M) [1d3] = 1 (L)

Sammy the Barbarian

As combat begins, Sammy is a little slow. After the barrels are rolled and arrows fly, he gears up for some hand-to-hand action. Seeing a break in the action, he rushes head long to meet the runts in their den.

[1d20+1] = 15+1 = 16 to hit [1d10+1] = 8+1 = 9 damage

Gwydion, Elf Ranger
Gwydion puts up his bow, grabs his sword, and follows after Sammy.

Coppish, Elf F/T
Coppish puts up his bow, grabs his sword, and follows after Sammy.

Inside the hallway, Sammy and Gwydion can only fight two by two. Each character needs command of 5 square feet. The kobolds will be at the same disadvantage, but two distance fighters can come up behind your first two fighters and work very carefully. If those two distance fighters roll a natural 1, there's a chance of hitting the two in front of them.

Roll for initiative.

Gwydion, roll for sword and Coppish, roll twice for bow.

Kobold initiative: [1d6] = 2

When Sammy Trendt move into the hallway Fanxyl shoulders his bow and moves take any kobolds that make it pass the 1st group of melee fighters.

The kobolds that have jumped the barrel push forward. Gwennethel fires two arrows at the oncoming drove while saying a prayer to Corellon for success. Her first arrow misses, but her second hits true and fells a kobold instantly. Her prayers seem to be answered as the arrow flies right through the kobold and into another behind it. The second kobold is killed just as quickly.

Another kobold flies through the open doorway and goes straight for Biblo, who swings his sling staff, instantly killing the offensive creature.

Adel lets the others up front know that he can take their place if anyone gets too injured to fight.

Trendt moves into position while Gwydion takes aim with his bow. Two more kobolds are dropped by his skill.

Coppish sends two arrows flying and one misses. The arrow that hits gets stuck in a kobold's belly and the angry creature continues his flight with fury.

Merthyr catches the survivor of Coppish's arrow and swings his massive sword, but the kobold ducks and manages to step to the side.

Fanxyl swears the dog faces will pay for their crimes and takes a shot at the dodging kobold with his newly reacquired bow, but misses his mark.

Llewellyn finishes off the kobold with a skilled swipe of his rapier. His second swing with the dagger catches another kobold that has entered the room, injuring it horribly. The kobold decides that Llewellyn is too skilled an opponent and takes a step back only to be hit by Sammy. The kobold is sliced in two and didn't even see it coming.

End of Round 1

Round 2 Begins:

The two kobolds that have defected have rolled another barrel at the oncoming foes and scream for Trendt to light it. Freddie Lights his last wrapped arrow and sends it flying at the barrel as it rolls into the monsters.
[1d20] = 10
Freddie misses his mark and the barrel continues rolling as though a game of kobold bowling has been ensued. Kobolds in the front of the line jump it, but the others are hit and Freddie's arrow finally hits the ground, lighting the spilled oil on fire from behind the kobold ambush.

As the kobolds are moving further up the hall, four are instantly taken out by the fire, but the others escape.

Sammy has moved up into the hall, Gwydion beside him. Coppish is bringing up the rear alongside Freddie. The kobold defects are waiting by the last two barrels, ready to pop them open when told to. Melee finally ensues.

Party wins initiative.

Coppish sends another two arrows between the two fighters in the front. One misses, flying too low and bouncing off of the ground uselessly while the other gets a kobold right between the eyes. The kobold falls dead without a sound.

Gwydion strikes with his sword as the first kobold closes in and fells the creature in one strike.

Freddie takes aim and shoot two arrows and the swarming kobolds, aiming to the left side of Sammy.
To Hit [1d20+3] = 20+3 = 23; Dmg [1d6] = 3
First arrow is an instant kill!

To Hit [1d20+3] = 11+3 = 14; Dmg [1d6] = 1
Second arrow injurs a kobold.

The party can see light at the end of this tunnel as they can now fully count 13 kobolds left in the hallway. Six of them in the back appear to be the leaders and elite guards as they are better armored and look tougher. The kobolds are bottle necked and trapped by Sammy and Gwydion, their ranks unable to move up any further. They fight back!

The first kobold attacks Sammy and his surprise seems to have made him lose track of his target as his short sword hits the wall.
To Hit [1d20] = 2

The next kobold attacks Gwydion, apparently having too low a morale to manage to hit a taller elf.
[1d20] = 1

End of Round 2

The two defected kobolds are cheering on their new friends, but can't do much more to help in the crowded hallway aside from wait by the barrels.

Kobold Initiative: [1d6] = 1

Actions for Round 3!!

Fanxyl- Looks over the tight confines of the fighting. He decides that using his was not a good idea and switches back to his bow. He takes aim at the kobold at the back in the better armor.

3rd round initiative roll [1d6] = 1

Adel continues to hold his lantern aloft, feeling like a bit of an ass as he realizes torches line the wall. He'll keep an ear open for any help needed, but since the front ranks are preventing kobolds from coming through, he'll search the west wall in the south kobold sleeping quarters for any secret doors.

If Llewellyn can throw around the front rank of battle, he'll toss quill pens at the kobolds.

Darts (THAC0 20): [1d20+3] = 4+3 = 7 [1d20+3] = 16+3 = 19 [1d20+3] = 6+3 = 9
Dart Damage (S): [1d3] = 1 [1d3] = 1 [1d3] = 3

Trendt being pinned between friends cannot do much of anything or am I wrong?
"So much for a well thought out plan." he grumbles.

Biblo, scribe

Biblo stays in the back as the fighters melee in the tight corridor. He doesn't want to risk hitting a comrade with a sling bullet.
