Malibran moves across the planks set up, as well.

"Elsa, allow me to be of service...." as he then grasps his symbol and utters a whisper....

Abrex checks the flooring once they continue for signs of tracks other than their own.

He says to all, "Keep your eyes open folks, Watch the floors, walls and ceiling for anything unusual. Ula do you sense anything girl?"

Lucky crawls out of the backpack and jumps down and moves along with the group.

Abrex says, "Ok boy, but you've only got 8 lives left remember! Don't get ahead of Mason and help him if you can."

"Okay boys, we can see the traps!" says Elsa the Fair enthusiastically, motioning toward Malibran. "Now get your balls to the wall! Overking Ivid isn't getting any healthier!"

The half-orc moves ahead to the next door, and assuming Malibran gives it the all-clear, presses her shield to it to teleport the damned door to Acerak-knows-where.

Malibran calls upon his god to show him the pitfalls and traps in his path. Sure enough, another pit lies right in front of this latest door.

Eduardo will move across the planks to the space before the most lately discovered trap. If they have any disassembled pews left, he'll bring one up to lay across it.

Abrex helps the others get a pew to span across the third pit.

He says to them all, "At this rate we might run out of pews."

Once everything is on place Abrex moves ahead with lucky right behind Mason. He listens and looks down the hallway making sure the others are quiet as he does.

"Should we trigger this pit and see what lies beneath?" Malibran whispers a prayer of thanks to the light for providing him the forewarning of the trap.

Muttering under her breath about pit fetishes and liches, Elsa the half-orc fighter presses down the edge of the pit top with her trident using her ogre-strength to see if she can trigger it.

Eduardo and Abrex head back to the chapel to pry one more seat off a pew to cover the last most recent pit. While they do, Elsa opens the pit with a strong blow from the butt of her trident.

Elsa, warrior

The half-orc lights one of her six candles of everlasting light and drops it in the pit. She observes what is at the bottom and if there are any doors or exits in there.

Elsa and Mason look into the open pit. Elsa drops a candle into it to add a little extra light. The pit looks like the last two pits you’ve seen: square, 10’ deep, with big pointy spikes on the bottom, a hole in the top, and no apparent doors or exits in the walls.

Mason offers to climb into the pit and take a closer look.

Eduardo and Abrex carry the lumber across the previous two pits. They stop just short of the third pit and look at Elsa and Mason with expressions that say, “Where ya want this, buddy?”

Elsa, fighter

"Why don't you boys lay your big wood over my hole here," says the half-orc, known for her beauty among...orcs. She motions to the pit. "I'm sure it's strong enough to support my weight.... Careful, slide it just right. Ah, you got it."

Malibran take to one knee with an upraised eyebrow to Elsa's comment. Looking down into the pit, calls after Mason "Thank you, lad"

Elsa winks at the boys and asks them to bring their wood her way. They lay the plank down over the pit, trying not to think too hard about the mental image Elsa created.

Mason climbs into the pit for a closer look. Even close-up, he sees nothing but the expected pit features.

Eduardo momentarily doesn't get the banter, then suddenly does get it, then tries to think of something clever to say and fails. He chuckles nervously as face goes slightly red. "Fascinating candle," he says, lamely.

"I'm glad my woods big enough to handle this hole", Abrex says with a smile. "Let's help these folks up so we can move on."

Mason continues forward, checking for traps against the divine inspiration, just to check his own skill level.
